When I came to Dr. Wong Lerner, I needed help with my speech for the purpose of my work, and to develop my career. But I gained so much more. Dr. Wong Lerner conducted a very thorough evaluation of my speech to start, and then a couple of weeks later went over an "Accent spectrum" report that had all of the areas of speech that needed attention. What impressed and still impresses me about Dr. WL's expertise of speech, working with ESL people, and language (she has a passive knowledge of Chinese and some other languages) is that she knows so much in so many different areas. But also, it's the way she makes me feel safe and comfortable with this process of re-learning English for my job and my personal growth that would have otherwise been very difficult for me. And was difficult. I have already shifted my speech from a very closed mouth and not being able to pronounce many different consonants and vowels and words, to now where I have moved past much of that and I am learning speech patterns, and more complicated aspects of speech. I have learned not only how to speak better, but I've become more confident at my job and in my life. Shannon taught me how to speak more clearly but also how to speak up for myself! They are both fabulous. I have seen a huge improvement in my sons speech as well as his confidence. They make speech therapy fun. Both therapists we have take their time and have adapted to my sons specific needs. They call me with a weekly reminder which as a busy mom of four I appreciate. They have always worked with our schedule when we have needed to adjust. I bring my toddler along with me and I appreciate the books, toys, coloring pages they have in the lobby while we wait. Also his favorite stickers. It is a nice office complex that we often walk around while we wait.

I called back twice without a response until the next morning before our appointment and still nothing. Finally I got ahold of someone stating we were only 2 times per month and that there's a waiting list. But they called another provider that's accepting kids. So frustrating! Why take our information, schedule a session and then cancel stating there's a waiting list? I suggest doing more research on third party providers for Kaiser. Apparently certain families aren't worth their time. Not an easy process and they certainly made it more difficult for my family. Single dad, four kids and simply tossed to another organization for whatever reason they deemed.

Mrs Barbie, Mrs. Angelica and Mrs. Rachel are my daughters teachers, and I appreciate them all for always keeping update on the daily on how my daughter day was. I strongly feel that we were led to Katelynn for a purpose and a reason and now I see why just in the growth Fox has made. Our son Fox doesn't always open up to people or is comfortable with those he is unaware of or hasn't met before. He quickly began to trust Katelynn as she gave him the space and time to do so. The first time we met Kayelynn we were greeted with so much compassion and her desire to help Fox was refreshing. My son would be so excited to see her, that was his favorite part of his week. He would consistently asked to visit her daily.
