This is a totally legit Portland-style coffee shop. Even the walk up to the storefront on this historic street with the vintage buildings makes you feel like you are in the Pacific Northwest -- if it wasn't for the superior Florida weather you wouldn't know the difference! Inside is totally funky coffee shop feel, and is also pet friendly. Coffee itself is sourced from Sea Bean in Riviera Beach who roasts locally. House roast is a nice medium. Make sure you ask for your latte with whole milk as I think by default they use 2 percent and the fat content makes a huge difference in flavor. All cookies and cakes with the exception of the vegan offerings are baked on premises so be sure to treat yourself to something. read more

Coffee shop with homey decor and small town vibes. I came on a Sunday afternoon to catch up with a friend. The place was mostly full with some people doing work and others just relaxing. I had a small Lavender London Fog latte ($5) which was standard but not stellar. The lavender flavor got lost amongst the Earl Grey. There was an off-putting smell immediately upon entering but I'm hoping it was just off that day. P.S. There's a free public parking lot around the corner. The entrance is on K Street between 1st and Lake Ave. read more

The coffee is awful! On top of that the owners are known to harass other business owners in the area. Bad coffee, bad business. I am a real person who has been there one time. The coffee and pastries are awful! The coffee taste like dish water and the muffins are like rocks. Please give your business to a more worthy establishment!!! I paid cash. Stop lying to do damage control! read more

Had a couple hours in between appointments in lake worth and decided to stop by here. I grabbed an iced chai latte which was really excellent. The service was friendly and the WiFi was fast! There's plenty of indoor seating but we opted to sit outside due to covid. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Great atmosphere, service was really good, and the coffee was also great. I highly recommend this place

Super cute and quaint coffee shop in downtown lake worth! My iced vanilla chai latte was delicious, definitely going back for another one.

The owner posted a response about some sort of "coordinated" attack. I have NO idea what they are taking about. Maybe there is; not sure. I tried to google it to see if there was something nefarious. But seriously, What a shame: I posted a genuine review. I loved the look and vibe of the place. My review was based entirely on the drink I ordered. Nothing more nothing less. If I was an owner I would have invited me back to try something different: and maybe my review would change. This owner clearly has no idea what customer service is. Never again! And won't ever be back to try anything new! read more

It's just reopened after a remodel and it is so welcoming to have a great, genuine coffee roaster cafe with vegan treats in downtown Lake Worth. It's perhaps the best thing to chill at in a city full of watering holes and good food. And, the vibe is tight. And right. So looking forward to spending lots of time here! read more

Amazing coffee very good baristas. And it has a very friendly atmosphere. I follow them on Instagram.

Great coffee shop, nestled in Lake Worth. Great spot to hit up after brunch & the beach. They have various coffees and teas & offer several syrups to add additional flavor and sweetness, as well as some baked goods. They have some non-dairy options, which is always a benefit for those with allergies (like me lol)! They have several sectioned seating options, so it's good for small groups or just hanging out. They also have fun decor, games & books available to use while you're hanging out. read more

First time I walked in they were doing an open mic. Seats arranged as random artists came up and sang. Only stayed for a few and the music was fantastic as well as the support and encouragement all of the artists gave one another! The next time I went they were doing a church gathering at 6pm, which they do every Sunday. I was only there for a brief period of time, but it was done very well. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Appeasing music and there is a "take one, leave one" book shelf. Which is pretty neat. Their breakfast bagel is delicious (which I had twice) and I ordered a caramel cappuccino (yes I like foofoo drinks), which was tasteful. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I loved hanging out here and will be back in the future! read more

Light side of Jesus with your coffee. But they don't shove it down your throat. And the place is cute and welcoming and the coffee is mighty decent. read more

Feb 2022, we walked into the place and then walked right out. The place had a very strong odor of a cleaning product. We expected the place to have that fresh ground coffee smell, and were very disappointed because we wanted to like the place. We really couldn't sit there and drink coffee, so we ended going to Monada Cafe Inc instead which was clean, bright (inside) and had great coffee. Anyway, I was reading the past reviews of your place and I am sorry hear you are having problems. All and all, my opinion has nothing to do with the coffee only what we experienced when we walked through the door. read more

This is a fantastic local coffee shop. They have a dedicated roaster who does an amazing job. Of late they've started picking up local awards, which are way over due.. Great Central American coffees often featured. the owners and staff are fantastic people. I usually get a small almond milk or oat milk cappuccino. Always superb! If you come in here looking for anything resembling Starbucks, you are eating your time and their time. If you want to cool and get off the beaten path. This is the place! read more

I was in downtown and saw this interesting looking coffee shop. After I saw the name, I remembered that a group of friends had mentioned they were going to be meeting there that day around the same time I got there, so I figured it was meant to be for me to join them. I really was excited about this coffee shop.... until... well.. I found it funny (not funny) that this place is called "common grounds" yet when I approached the register to ask if they had seen a Medicare for All group, the guy and girl at the counter made up excuses to not serve me!!! First he said he kicked them out, then he said he was going across the street to a conservative meeting. Then they pretended that they didn't know how to close out the register to make the switch. After watching these two being completely rude to me for 5 minutes I finally walked out. What a shame to the community and to the business as a whole. Welp, I'll never know whether their coffee is all that or just another cup of brew that I rather grab elsewhere for sure. read more

This is such a cool place! I love to go meet friends downtown for coffee and delicious vegan pastries! Not everything is vegan, so there's an option for everyone at this charming spot. Make sure you grab my favorite toasted almond tea with steamed almond milk and their delicious vegan cinnamon roll. read more

Coffee is good enough, dive atmosphere is authentically not Starbucks, but no Stevia available. I don't do sugar or chemical sweetness, so if I don't have Stevia in my pocket I pass on this place. They've lost a lot of my business from me for not having Stevia. Note to manager- if they are too expensive to leave out then just have some behind the counter for people requesting it. read more

If you've read any of my reviews in the past, you'll know that I love me a good coffee shop. I love them when I'm traveling, but they're even more necessary when I'm home. The town I've called home for the past few years, despite having over two dozen bars, only has a total of two coffee shops, one of which is a Starbucks located across the road from a store owned by a someone known for sexual assault. Therefore, despite the fact that Common Grounds is a christian coffee shop, it's where I hang out more often than not. The owner is a decent man who seems to care about local folks down on their luck. He's the preacher of the church, keeps a lot of the money for himself (as evidenced by his convertible and beach-front home), and sometimes makes slightly racist comments, but still--as far as I can see--does more good than evil. The coffee is better than average and the food is decent. I don't like that they overcharge for kombucha just because hipsters are in to it, or that they make their eggs in a microwave, but the atmosphere is almost always conductive to work or hanging out with friends. When they first opened up, they would allow homeless folks to use their bathroom and at times hang out in the shop. Over the months, that has changed drastically: the bathroom is always locked and if someone doesn't buy something within a couple minutes they are (usually rudely) asked to leave. Just about everyone who works there is friendly and remembers the names of their regulars. However, there is a woman (a manager, not the owner's wife) who is a complete asshole. I have seen her tell people to leave even though they've bought something, yell at folks for wanting to use the bathroom, refuse to help people because they upset her sense of smell, and be rude to more people than I can count. If they lowered their prices slightly, got rid of the asshole, and found some middle ground between letting the place be overrun with non-paying customers and demanding instant payment, they'd really be on to something. read more
