It has been awhile since we have been here but we were down this way so we came in for coffee. My son ordered a dirty chai latte, my daughter ordered an iced shaken expresso and I ordered a cold brew. This a nice place to come and get a coffee and relax. The staff was friendly and waited while we decided what we wanted to order.

My granddaughter and I were out for a girls day and stopped in this place. Common Grounds Coffee is a cozy counter-service café with plenty of seating and a charming collection of board games, making it an inviting spot for meeting up with friends or enjoying a casual afternoon. The atmosphere is somewhat relaxing, though it can be overshadowed by the surprising price tag. During my visit, I ordered a small cappuccino, a small lemonade, a cake pop, and an oatmeal cookie, and the total came out to nearly $18. While the quality of the items was decent, the prices were far from what I'd expected for a local coffee shop. At nearly Starbucks-level pricing, I found myself questioning the value for money, especially considering the smaller portion sizes. Given the absence of other café options in the area besides McDonald's, Common Grounds Coffee might be your only alternative--or you could save a bit and make your own treats at home. If you're willing to pay a premium for the atmosphere, it could be worth a visit. Otherwise, you might find the cost a bit hard to justify.

Coffee, coffee, coffee... yes the Gilmore references are plentiful in this incredibly cool relaxing coffee haven! Being a sinensophile, I chose an Earl Grey, but here... coffee rules!! I love the ambiance of this cozy spot... warm fall colors of rust, browns and greens dominate the décor with touches of leather, wood and brick to add to the welcoming vibe. I desperately want to try the Lorelai & Rory pumpkin spice and vanilla coffee, which I may have to grab on my way out! For breakfast I chose the egg, bacon and cheese croissant which came out warm and fluffy! The front counter gals were super sweet and helpful! I spent quite a bit of time chilling on the couch, reading, writing, and savoring every inch of this inviting coffee shop! Love it!

A nice coffee shop my family and I discovered while taking a road trip down to Williamsburg. It's fairly close to the 95, so it's a nice pit stop for those wanting a place to hang around for a short bit. There is plenty of parking and outdoor spacing to sit or let kids run around for a little bit. There is an extensive menu for both coffee and food. The coffee and food were both decent. We shared a chicken panini and a breakfast sandwich. Prices were comparable to northern VA. Seating is quite extensive and there are games for people to play with. It was a nice play to drop by and would be happy to visit again if we had the chance.

Found this place driving back from Virginia. Cute place. Local artist have art for sell on the walls. Coffee was good and gluten free scones. Great customer service as well. The only thing is the prices were on the higher side. The frappe was good a little sweet The gluten free chocolate muffin was good. The pumpkin muffin was very strong tasting. Sausage croissant was very good.

Seating is comfy imagine sitting and reading whilst enjoying your coffee. This was a stop on the way back home from a triathlon we desperately needed coffee after we ate. The service was friendly and so welcoming! There's more than coffee in here local artist books, pastries and more! I loved this place! If I could give more than five stars I would! If you are near the area and want some good coffee and a place to sit relaxing this is the place!

Excellent, specialized cupcakes from a lovely at-home store owner. Consider using this home baker…read morefor small and large orders! The chocolate cupcake was fluffy, moist, and evenly filled with chocolate ganache. The peanut butter buttercream frosting was one of the best I've had; not overly sweet and was not at all gritty! The individual boxes that the cupcakes came in were a wonderful, unexpected touch. The process for ordering and picking up the cupcakes was effortless. Brenda, the store owner, was a sweet woman who took my phone call with excitement. She walked me through her flavor profiles and gave me an affordable rate for a half dozen cupcakes. I ordered approximately 5 days before I needed to pick them up with no issues. I even gave her an approximate time I would pick them up at and she made sure to have them ready by then. On pickup day, I drove out to her home which was minutes off Route 29 (behind the CVS on Moore Rd.) Her home, including her kitchen, were immaculate and very, very clean! Just a wonderful experience all around! Please consider giving your business to a local baker!

Brenda took the time to listen to my daughter and son-n-law asking what they wanted and how she could help make their day perfect. Brenda delivered on service with perfection. Thank you to Brenda and Homer for being a huge part of making my daughter and son-n-laws wedding the best day ever!
