I would give this place a zero if I could. Absolutely would not recommend them to anyone looking to get copies made for any type of key. I should have known from their warning that if the key doesn't work they are not held responsible that they don't care to ensure their work is done properly. I gave them the benefit of the doubt bc they were reassuring they could make the copy to a key based on the code only, but I guess doing that was too difficult. read more

We took our motorcycle keys here at the recommendation of the Honda dealership next door and they butchered the keys. The keys not only feel bent on one side so they won't go in, when we called to ask if we could get a new one cut (I would still supply the key) they basically told us too bad and it's not their problem. If you're unable to copy keys with a code that was provided to you numerous times then you should not offer this service. I'm now going to be out close to $80 when I actually get the right set. I needed to install three new cylinders on three locks in my new home, and was looking for a company that was a dealer of Emtek locks, after I was in back-and-forth conversations with another locksmith who was not being incredibly forthcoming in helping me (I think maybe because the other locksmith was not an Emtek dealer, and I was more of a nuisance to them?). One call to Comlock took care of all of that. They showed up early and on-time for my appointment, fixed everything, and I'm good to go. The locksmith was incredibly nice. I called this company and talked to Cynthia yesterday after seeing numerous positive reviews on another site. They used to be Called Bill's Lock & Safe. This is a four-generation family company having been in business many years. Cameron came out to our commercial property in Fullerton today during the time frame promised and expertly re-keyed three locks. Also, Cameron made three keys for each lock, removed one padlock and sold me another one for a total of $178.61. Cameron did all the work in about an hour, was very pleasant and professional. Also, Cameron dealt with the previous tenant's very loud alarm that was going off after we entered the building, which is indicative out his ability to adapt to situations as they occur. I would definitely use this company again and refer Comlock to anybody! read more

I was referred to this company by Honda so I called to find out if they can make me a key. The girl that answers the phone puts me on hold for five min, then says, "I don't know and the guy who does is out to lunch." I then call back 2 minutes later after talking to Honda to tell them that who they're referring me to doesn't do it. I call this place a second time and the guy that's "out to Lunch" isn't out to lunch. If you want to deal with a business where the staff isn't trained to know what the company does and doesn't do, then proceeds to lie about employees who can actually help you being out to "lunch" then use these guys. read more

Went in to have a simple drawer key from work copied. The guy from the Home Depot across the street referred me here because my key was a little too small for them to copy. (About 1/4 shorter than a house key.) The guy that helped me was pleasant and took the key to begin copying it. He then answered the phone and seemed distracted and couldn't focus on copying a key. It took longer than it should (5 min) but I honestly wasn't bothered by the wait time. It was $3.40 for the key and I went on my merry way. I got to work next day and tried using the key. It wouldn't even go in the key hole. I then compared the known good key I had with the copied one and noticed that they were different enough for it not to work. The copied key was off my 1-2 millimeters on one of the cuts and that's what prevented it from inserting. The key was only $3.40 so I won't bother going back for a refund, it's just mildly annoying enough for me to write a review on yelp. From what I gather, this company is more known for their commercial work, (which I'm sure is great) but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when a simple key can't be copied correctly read more

I hope their safes and locks are better than their alarm service. This company informed me that my alarm doesn't work with my current telephone service because we switched from my current land line to VoIP. They implied that I needed to purchase a separate box that would connect my alarm to their network. If that was the case, then why did the police come to my house for a false alarm. Obviously, my alarm is still in contact with the alarm company and the police. You're better off getting a dog or cat... read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Charged $175 for new locks after we moved in to our new house. Lock stopped working in front door after becoming too loose. Found out that person from Comlock had only temporarily fixed the lock. The hole in the door for the lock was too small, so instead of making it bigger to fit the lock set properly, he just used screws that were just barely enough too hold the lock together, at least for a few days. I tightened the screws, but it was only a temporary fix as it kept getting loose. When I called to complain the person told me they would let the manager know. Of course, no response. I kept calling back, but the person kept saying manager was not in. read more

Comlock service has always been quick, kind, and friendly. When I walked into the store I was greeted with warm smiles and even better service. I needed keys cut as well as locks for backpacking Europe and they were vey patient with me and helped me pick out the best and most secure locks. They even took the time to show me how to use these locks . The keys they cut me work like a charm so much better than my home depot ones. While talking to the workers I found out that this company has been a 4 generation family business. For them to be still open and thriving after all these years they must be doing something right. read more

I'm giving them 5 stars for going above and beyond to fix my key, they could of just closed at 5pm but they continued to work on my problem until it was solved. It made my day , without their initiative I would of spent 150$ for some other company to come out and make a key mold for my car, but because of their customer service I saved the 150$!
