Upon entering, I realized the shop was much larger than I had expected. Looks like it may have been 2 shops merged into one at some point. There's a large connected room with a massive Anime books and poster collection. Lots of fun and unique finds. The man at the cashier was friendly and helpful. We left with just a couple small figures but would love to spend more time looking over the variety of books and collectibles. Any shop that includes Hip Hop has my vote!

Good selection of the big name newer stuff, and lots of up and coming indies. Great atmosphere and just a pleasant place to look around and decide what you want to read next. I decided to bump this up to 5 stars though because the employees are so great. Mal, Miguel, Cy, and Logan are always super pleasant and friendly. They give good recommendations and are extremely helpful. I still wish they had a dollar bin. However I feel lucky to have such a nice shop near by full of great people.

The folks here are friendly and you can tell they are knowledgeable and love the industry. I randomly stumbled across this place when I was grabbing lunch in the area on my break. I can't speak to much on the value because I was just going in to take a look at the time (and didn't purchase anything on that particular visit), but from the price tags, everything that I saw seemed very reasonable. This is the type of place that I would have spent a lot of my paper route or minimum wages I earned when I was a kid. I probably would have spent hours here and been here all the time if this place was near me growing up. If you are into comic books and related collectibles, this place is an absolute gem.

A very cute and quiet little mom and pop shop type of bookstore! We went in on a whim after…read morevisiting the coffee shop next door. Parking is available across the street near the goodwill or if you can get a spot on the street. We came in and there were piles of books next to the bookshelves. The sections aren't completely labeled, but if you read enough, you can see what category the bookkeeper has placed the books in. There isn't a certain order (alphabetically or anything). You go in and you peruse what is available . The bookseller is also hanging out in the front and will let you look at the front room or the back room. We saw the children's section, science, graphic novels, AAPI, and fantasy. Their romance was scattered around the store. I did end up leaving with a book purchase. I will say it's hard to look at everything because the lights were also flickering, although there is sunlight coming in. It was quite overwhelming to look at books. Overall the prices were cheaper than a bookstore chain. It's very nice to see these stores still operating. I'd choose this over a chain any day.

The staff at the comic book store in Claremont - A Shop Called Quest -are way better at helping, asking if you need anything, and like to talk about comics. Value: 0. Overpriced. I just checked my transaction history, and it was $43.53 out the door. Amazon has it for $19.

Hello, I've been to…read morethis comic book shop a few times. I like the selection and the layout is really user friendly. I'm rather new to comic collecting and I've been trying to keep my collection growing, but because I'm new to the hobby I don't always know how things work so I try to ask questions to the workers at the stores I visit. The store has one person who is honestly kind of rude. He is an older bald white guy. I've interacted with him a few times in the past briefly but I always felt he was kinda short and rude with me in comparison to how he interacts with other guests . I thought maybe I am overthinking the interaction so I always just let it slide and kept coming back. I told my partner briefly about this and he even agreed that maybe it could be me over thinking. I went in with my partner and this time I asked a question to the cashier about comic releases and the rude guy interjected and made condescending comments about me not knowing how releases work and overall made me feel really stupid. His whole energy just makes me feel like I'm not welcome and that I'm less than because I'm new to the comic hobby. When we left the store my partner immediately was like "is that the guy that is always rude to you?" I don't think I will come back to this store again because of how rude and unprofessional that guy is. He just really lacks customer service skills.

Up front is random games and comics. It's nice looking for what was once a sort of army paraphernalia room of an antique store. Now more of a Starbase like its name. In the back they have tables to play card or board games. They have a big selection of snacks and drinks to fill you up when gaming. Service was friendly and was ready to answer any question.

Owner is very rude!!!…read more he sells his stuff way above what the market is and won't bargain with you. I get it, you need to make money but coming off very hostile is not good customer service. Owner could have easily said "sorry i'm firm on my prices" instead of saying "i feel insulted" and then to start arguing with you which we weren't trying to insult you but the markups are crazy especially on pokémon cards too. I was taken back at the awkwardness of the conversation and how he acted like a little child about it. I'm glad i'm not the only customer that experienced this type of rudeness. Will be telling my friends not to go to this shop.

They have a ton of sports cards, limited on pokemon but if you ask him to get you a specific pack, he will! At least he will try. The owners are very kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable of what you are looking for. If his parents can't help u they will surely call up their son so make sure they can help u accordingly!
