Thankfully, he was staying at Puppy Haven. The staff noticed right away that something wasn't right. They called me immediately, stayed calm, explained what they were seeing, and reassured me that they were taking action. They quickly transported him to a local urgent care vet they knew and trusted (who was also amazing). What really blew me away was what happened next. An employee stayed with him at the vet to hear the diagnosis, learned that he needed to be transferred to an emergency hospital for surgery, and then personally took him there as well. Since then, they've checked in multiple times to see how he's doing. It was honestly a pretty awful situation, but Puppy Haven made it so much better. Their attentiveness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for one of their dogs is something I'll never forget. We are incredibly grateful and thankful to have a place where we can leave our pups and truly not have to worry. If you're looking for a daycare or boarding facility that genuinely cares about your dogs, Puppy Haven is it.

Six years covered a lot. Finn and Callie, grown from ferals with a problem nobody else had bothered to diagnose into two ordinary spoiled house cats. Remy's chicken allergy, worked out and managed on Apoquel. Phoebe, all the way through the end of her life. And Callie's CCL, which they referred out to a surgeon rather than taking on themselves. That last one is the tell, and it's the same thing I liked in 2020. A vet who sends you to a specialist when the case calls for one is a vet who isn't guessing -- the same instinct Dr. Banner showed when she tested two former ferals for clostridium instead of handing me another round of whatever hadn't worked yet. Ask the right question, then be honest about the answer, including when the answer is "not us." Names, because they've earned them. Dr. Becky is still amazing, six years on. Dr. Kasey has been Remy's vet from the beginning. And Carrie, the client care manager, has always been there for us. Six years, four animals, one clinic. Five stars.

The thing that impressed us the most was that Dr. Raskin entered the room and literally sat on the floor next to our dog, giving her a chance to become comfortable with him. While the vet tech held our dog, Dr. Raskin examined our dog and explained everything he observed and what he would recommend in terms of treatment. I brought my old lady, Hoshi, in because she struggles with chronic ear infections. I did not take her to the last vet that treated her because they were less than helpful with a situation that arose with my cat, so I decided they no longer deserved my business and looked elsewhere for a better vet. I wanted a vet who genuinely cares for my pets as much as they care about their profits and despite that being quite a unicorn these days, I do believe I have found that in City Vet. The entire staff from the receptionist to the vet tech to the vet herself was awesome! My girl felt so at ease that she did not tremble uncontrollably as she has at every other vet we have been to. Dr. Morris exudes love and compassion for the animals she treats and my old girl definitely picked up on that warm and loving energy. Dr. Morris took her time and thoroughly explained her diagnosis and treatment options. She also gave me some advice on things I can do to help prevent future flare ups and she texted me the next day to follow up on how Hoshi was feeling. No vet is cheap these days, but the overall cost of care lined up with my expectations for what was fair given her treatment. I absolutely LOVED City Vet and plan to make them my new go-to for all my furbabies going forward.

Her story of wanting to be a Vet from the time she was a little girl to her years at the prestigious UGA College of Veterinary Medicine tell us all we need to hear! With the many Vets in this area, it's tough to choose. We've been going to Holcomb Bridge Animal Hospital the past six years and will be going there as long as Dr Alphonso is the practitioner.
