Doggy Ice Cream
Elizabeth F.

This is probably our favorite store on Downtown Roswell's Canton Street. A block or two away from the busy restaurant section of Canton Street, this is the perfect place to spoil your pet! The staff is always so friendly and there is literally everything you could need for your pet. There are toys, treats, food, accessories, etc. We love to stop by here with our dog after a walk along Canton St. on a hot day and treat our pup to a doggy ice cream on their covered patio. If you have a fur baby, please check out The Downtown Pooch to spoil your pet and shop local.

This may come as a surprise to those that find out we frequent here, but we have no pets! What we…read moredo have is a gaggle of little kids and a need for indoor activities! The parking lot is always busy in this shopping center which I know well because of Trader Joe's. You can find parking, but it's very busy and not my preference with a ton of little kids. Petsmart does have a dedicated spot or 2 for online pick up! If you haven't guessed yet - we come for the animals! We typically start with the fish! There is a large wall of them. They aren't all full and sometimes we catch floating fish, but mostly my littles don't notice. They have live crickets, but I'm the only one that notices those. Towards the center are the reptiles, birds, and rodents (at least that's what I call hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs). Finally there are cats for adoption on the other end of the store. They have a dog training area which I have yet to catch dogs being trained, but it's over by the fish! We can kill an easy 20 minutes here and it isn't far from our house. Sometimes they have more for sale than other times and they aren't always the best kept enclosures, but it does in a pinch and it's a lot closer than the zoo and aquarium! Sometimes we run into other parents doing the same thing so I know we didn't invent the idea. But it's a great way to entertain little humans in a pinch!

They sold me dead fish and shrimp for 24 dollars. And would not let me get 5 neon tetras for a ten…read moregallon tank

I stumbled across this spot when I was trying to leave Trader Joe's without having an…read moretraffic-induced aneurysm and I'm in love. Location Pro & con. It's on Roswell Rd, just past Johnson Ferry in a strip mall type complex. Plenty of parking. But it's a good little trek from my house, so it will never become a regular spot for us. But this is a good thing, because if they were closer, I would be in dire straights financially because they have so much to offer. Interior Very well organized. Cute clothing options and toys tons of snacks and plenty of homemade doggy treats. Everything is easy to find, no clutter. Customer Service The two gentlemen who waited on me were warm and friendly. Greeted me as soon as I hit the door. Answered all my questions. Made suggestions. Told me all about their history and their pups. I felt welcomed and valued. Overall Overall, the prices were what you'd expect to pay elsewhere. Gizmo eats Fromme dog food and they had a pretty good selection - and they have the same prices as the store I typically shop at. I bought Gizmo some belated birthday treats and I gotta tell you, they look like human food - technically they are - but you know what I mean. Lol. I purchased a bag of dog food, a little argyle doggy sweater vest and several bakery items. Gizmo thoroughly enjoyed the treats I've given him so far. I'll be sure to check back the next time I'm over that way. Highly recommend.

This place was highly recommended to us this morning. We immediately decided to go check them out…read more As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Roger. He was so knowledgeable, helpful, passionate and friendly. He took the time to explain to us about every goodie that would be the best match for our fur babies. As soon as we got home the babies enjoyed some of the goodies. They're picky and highly approved. Thank you Roger we will absolutely be repeat customers. The prices are so much better than chewy or other pet stores which was surprising. The Ingredients are healthy, fresh & are made in house or in the USA. They also have a great rewards program.
