Had a short 1-night stay here at the Comfort Suites and it was mediocre. The check in process was weird to say the least. The receptionist was on the reserved side and very soft spoken. When giving her the name our booking was under, she informed us that the King Bed Suite we reserved was not available due to a leak and she would be putting us in a Queen Bed instead. When my husband asked if there was a price difference for the room she confirmed that it was cheaper, but made no offer to change the charge. Further prompting her, he asked if she could apply the new lower price to our booking since we were not getting what we paid for originally. All of a sudden, she hesitated, looked like she had been caught in a lie and then said in barely above a whisper "okay, I will give you a King room" and handed us our keys. This was extremely odd and we were very confused as to what just happened and why we were trying to be pushed into a Queen room instead of a King without a fair price adjustment when they did indeed have an available room. The interaction unfortunately gave us a weird sense that something shady just occurred. The poor star rating is mainly due to this unfortunate interaction. As we went to our room, there was an unpleasant mildew odor from the elevator to halfway down the hallways - assuming this is from the supposed leak problem they were dealing with. It thankfully did not reach our room. The room was standard and clean with lots of lights and a good view of the parking lot with mountains in the background. Personally, we like being able to have an eye on our car and a scenic view so this was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the carpet was on the thinner side, the bathroom came with a very limited amount of amenities (2 bars of soap, shampoo and conditioner), microwave needed to be plugged in and the coffee maker came with 2 year old expired packets. The room is not equipped to do anything more than microwave a snack or refrigerate leftovers. There are lots of good dining options around the local area either within walking distance or a short drive away. The max rate this Comfort Suites states they can charge is $999/night, which, if they weren't located in a great place to get to the ski slopes, is honestly pretty ridiculous for such an average stay. Overall, it's fine for what it is, but don't expect much. We didn't stop to have the included breakfast in the morning as we were ready to get out of there, but they do have a large dining area for you to eat your meal there. read more

Booked a room here for a 4 day stay with our family of 5. We got a king room with the pull out couch. The first issue we had was that our room keys would randomly quit working throughout the day, and we'd have to go to the front desk to get them re-keyed. The 3rd time it happened I asked the lady what was going on, and she said "sometimes they do that if it gets too cold, or if the key gets too close to your phone." We had to get our keys fixed a total of 5 times on our 4 day stay. Our daughters (ages 5 and 10) slept on the pull out bed, but it was very uncomfortable and seems like the mattress is just a thin cotton layer over very hard springs. The girls complained that it was too uncomfortable to sleep on, so I went to the front and got 2 extra blankets to layer over the mattress and that helped a little. The king bed was ok, it definitely is an older mattress with lower spots where people usually lay. The down comfortor is sparse and not too comfy. The heating/AC unit is old, but it works. You can't have it set to certain temp though. We had is set to heat the room to 72, and came back 2 hrs later to a boiling hot room. We continued to have to turn the heat on, then off for a while, then back on once the room got too cold. The phone in the room (circa 1989) doesn't work. No big deal since everyone has cell phones now The kids liked the indoor pool, so that's a plus. They advertise a laundry facility, but when I lugged our laundry down there I was met with an empty room with 3 trash cans. I asked the front desk person if they were remodeling that room or what, and she just stared blankly at me and said "No." So no laundry facility. But there is a laundromat in the shopping center right across the street. The breakfast is your typical continental breakfast - powdered eggs, sausage or some type of meat, waffles, muffins, bread, cereal and yogurt. My husband and I skipped breakfast most days but the kids loved the waffles. Overall it's ok if you need somewhere to sleep, use the bathroom and shower. Nothing nice, though. Definitely needs an update to the whole building. read more

I booked my reservation for Labor Day weekend over a month in advance because it was a special event for my partner and I. Upon arrival, we were 15 minutes early for check in and were told to come back in 30 minutes. We happily waited and came back only to find ourselves in a 30 minute line for check-in. Not a problem, we laughed with the people in line next to us and checked in. We proceeded to a room not of our reservation. We booked a king suite upgrade for the celebration, we found ourselves in a less than clean double queen room. I returned down to the desk to clear up the confusion only to find the concierge refusing to address me and handing me a business card telling me there's nothing she could do. She had no rooms for us and we'd just have to talk to customer service when they returned after Labor Day. She already knew she had given us the wrong room as she expected me to return by the way she just handed me the business card before I could even state my concern. The two couples in the elevator with us both had the same reservation and got their king rooms. Not us. Why? I tried to call and email. The phone just went to her line where she told me nothing could be done for the duration of my stay. The email was invalid. She didn't have any corrected email to give me. With this treatment, I likely won't ever return. read more

This hotel met all my triple CCC requirements: Clean, Comfy and "Cheap". Since we were visiting Breckenridge and Copper Mountain this was the perfect go between. Vail is only about a 30 minute drive from here, so if you're planning a last minute trip and can't find a room like us, this is a great alternative. Located in Dillon this hotel was the only place we could find for our last minute ski trip. And the price...pricey on this holiday weekend but it was the only "reasonably priced hotel that had rooms! Normally, I would not pay so much for a comfort suites hotel but this is a popular ski area and we were here for just one night. Everything else was priced at $300 plus (Spring Break prices). Free breakfast was offered but since we were running late we did not enjoy. The dining room was crowded so I advise you get down early to partake for the full breakfast. The winner was the peaceful restful sleep I had and nice comfortable beds. A quiet room with a gorgeous view of the mountains was a plus. I saw an indoor pool. Front desk was friendly. Our room was spacious with two queen beds and a sitting area which offered a pull out sofa. Also, we left our cell phone in the room and it was returned! Thank you! Lots of nearby shopping and fast food restaurants nearby for quickie food stops. Overall, for a Comfort Suites with a friendly honest staff? Priceless. I'd return. read more

This place is super clean. Helpful staff. We had stayed on an upper floor in the past, but stayed in the "garden area" this time. Only drawback is that there is no elevator service to this floor. Have to carry bags down one flight of stairs. The huge upside is that it is very quiet. This place is not fancy- but is a great home base for a family to enjoy the area. Just off I75, so super convenient. Nice indoor pool area with indoor hot tube and a workout area. Outdoor hot tub is amazing. Sit in the tub with an amazing view of the mountains. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Dillon. (Hopefully soon and often!) read more

3 Jul 21- my son made early reservations for us there for the 3rd through the 5th of July because the town home he bought in Frisco is still being remodeled. They did not give us the handicap room he requested on the main floor but they did give us a room on the first floor. Our room had a slippery shower so I asked the front desk for a mat for the shower and got the last one. The bathroom lavatory was plugged up during our stay there. Sunday morning when I went to eat their free breakfast one of the slices of bread that I picked up was hard and stale so I picked two slices of another bread. Had two sausages, toast and coffee because the pancake eggs (have no idea what they were) did not look appetizing.The orange juice did not even taste like orange and had a weird taste. My husband went to their handicap bathroom in the lobby and said it was filthy with toilet paper all over the floor etc. Yesterday we were out most of the day and they never cleaned our room. This morning we never bothered to see what they had for breakfast after that bad experience we had yesterday so we left after having only coffee. This is the first time we have stayed in a Comfort Inn Suites Hotel and would never recommend it to anyone. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is that they have honest people working there because I left my pill box in their breakfast room and my CPAP pillow when I checked out and both items were turned in and I was able to recover them. read more

Surprisingly pleasant stay at the comfort suites leading up to NYE. The beds were clean. Pillows were soft. Linen wasn't scratchy. Our room had a small sofa and a table as well so we could eat and lounge in the room other than directly on the beds. Continental breakfast is what you would expect. Bagels, waffle maker, really thin bacon, odd looking eggs, bad and mediocre coffee (the quality was quite different from one day to the next), juice, three types of cereal, etc. I appreciated that the breakfast room was kept quite clean. The hotel was quite busy. Looks like they may have run out of parking spots (we took the last one). Location was pretty great. A straight shot to Keystone and A-Basin ski areas. Right across the street from a grocery store, REI, a bank, Starbucks and more. A lot of people were enjoying the hot tub. (I didn't go in the hot tub or the pool.) The whole lobby and elevator smelled of strong chlorine. read more

I don't write negative reviews, but this was something else. Checked in, only to get a key card to an uncleaned room. The bedding was on the floor and the tip from the prior guest was on the table. I immediately went back to the front desk and shared that the room was not cleaned. The front desk person said they needed to find the cleaning staff. They couldn't be found. The front desk staff then said they'll just go clean it themselves. 1. COVID is on the rise and the front desk staff is not qualified to properly disinfect and clean a room 2. They expected me to wait for them to "clean" the room which should have been ready. I asked if any other rooms were available? No, none. On top of all of this, the front desk staff was annoyed I was very unhappy that I was only given an option of a dirty room. I decided to not stay here- was refunded with an attitude from the staff. MY BACKGROUND - Okay so my 5-star rating of "as good as it gets" is for this sort of hotel, in the Choice Hotel line for average-priced rooms. I'm not comparing it to really high-end hotels. I've stayed in hotels quite often in the last 3 years, mostly on the east coast and most were Wingate, and I've stayed in some fancy places overseas, so my review is based on that. I'm also not the type of person who pays $72 for a room and takes notes on whether or not the fake chrome on my door handle was chipped. I can stay anywhere and don't complain a whole lot but I also DO take note of things for my reviews on here. STAFF - Was freaking awesome. First of all I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were. When I checked in the girl at the desk was very perfunctory and informative. She covered everything without taking forever, but also got her point across so that I knew what I was about once I walked away. At breakfast the morning all the staff kept everything filled and warm, asking if you needed anything. I needed to fax something and the new girl at the desk was very helpful and did it for me without question. HOTEL - The lobby was gorgeous, like a little lodge. The picture on the website looks just like the outside actually looks, down to the tree in front of it. This particular place is up on a bit of a hill which was nicer than some of the other places to stay because you had a better view! The lobby was clean and very homey. The pool and hot tub were also clean and really nice (indoors, both), although we didn't get in them. (Didn't have time but I walked around to look for this review). Outside the pool room was a deck or balcony but it was covered in snow and the weather was stormy/snowy so no one was out there. ROOM - The room was awesome. Looked just like the picture, even the size. Very cozy. The bathroom was awesome with granite countertops, a HUGE mirror, well lit. As I said I can stay anywhere but I cannot abide a nasty bathroom. My dad was with me and he's a custodian and is CONSTANTLY pointing things out (like fingerprints on the wall in the last hotel room) and even he'd said the place was clean. The towels and wash cloths were really soft and the shower was clean. Everything looked updated. The door slide closed and was sometimes sort of tough to open and close but not impossible. I liked it because it didn't swing in or out and take up more space. The place was pretty quiet despite being near capacity. Mini fridge and microwave at their own little bar in the entryway, and a tiny stainless steel coffee pot! BREAKFAST - The breakfast was the best we've had so far going across the country in Choice Hotels. Bagels, regular and cinnamon, sliced bread, English muffins, sausage patties, scrambled egg rounds, honey bunches of oat cereal, fruit loops, raisin bran, waffle and pancake makers, yogurt, cranberry/orange/apple juice, regular and decaf coffee, hot chocolate packets and hot water for it, and I believe milks and a couple other items. The price was awesome for a king size bed and pull-out couch. I got that bc there were two of us and it was the cheapest at $82 (but I got it for $72 by booking in advance). After taxes and stuff it was $80. I don't know what ski season is for them but this was on 11/18/15 and it had already been snowing since the end of October. It was getting busy and was filling up so I thought the price was fantastic. There were cheaper places in Dillon but not by much so when I searched in Choice Hotels, I chose this based on price and average rating. read more

A little bit of an older hotel. But it's location is perfect! It's right next to a grocery store, movie theater, liquor store, and different restaurants. Everything is within walking distance! It's awesome. Our kids loved the indoor pool and indoor hot tub. They loved running from snow to hot tub outside. It was cool they had an outdoor hot tub for that. The rooms were great and clean. The breakfast area was a little small but they had a great selection. Perfect for little kids. I'd give it a 4.5/5 and really the only reason I'd dock .5 is because it's just a little bit of an older building. But we look forward to coming back! read more

Comfort Suites - Dillon, CO. Possibly suggest holding on booking until last minute for your travel, if feasible. Rates published online in advance are higher than nightly rate. Management at the location will not match their published online lower rate upon arrival. They will give a run around, and push off until check-out and then tell you changes can't be made to the file. Location is convenient, but hotel has a lot of wear and not worth the higher rates. Heat was not able to be controlled in the room. Could hear walking in the room above. read more

Stayed here for the weekend, and from the outside the place looks nice, but on the inside is a different matter. When we finally got to our hotel room after waiting around to get checked in, we found the bathtub was still full of water and the room was hot, which makes you wonder what else they forgot to take care of. It turns out that the AC unit in the room is pretty much non-functional as it was hardly ever on, and rarely blowing cold air. Aside from that - they really need to rehab the hotel. The hot tub outside is literally falling apart - missing tiles, chipped concrete, and not that warm. The toilet looked like it had been scrubbed with a wire brush due to all of the scrapes in the bowl, and the bathroom sink had cracks in it. read more

Good locations and very busy. Rooms are spacious with ample storage. 3 small toiletries provided for 3 persons booked to a room so bring your own shampoo/conditioner, soap and lotion. Laundry on site and provides washer and dryer for $3.75 per load add 2.00 per load of you need detergent and softener. We needed it so was a plus. After check in at 4:45 were told that pool was booked for the day. We understood policy but were a bit frustrated that 1 elderly gentleman had the entire pool/spa room booked to himself to sit next to the pool on his phone for over an hour. Lastly the internet is awful! We were unable to get service when we entered the code to access. We called and they said there was no problem. At $170 per night we received a bed, shower, spotty television service and no internet read more

For the price this place gets 5 stars! A good hotel in the mountains for $100, yes that is woo hoo as good as it gets! And it has a fridge and microwave in the room AND a free breakfast with a waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, bagels and cream cheese, sausage and more! And free wi fi!!!! read more

Comfort suites dropped my Expedia reservation once roads closed so from my perspective they could increase their rates and take advantage of stranded travelers. I confirmed nothing was cancelled with Expedia. The hotel said they were sold out and there was nothing they could do. They gave me no communication that they cancelled my room and they took no responsibility. Mistakes happen, how a company reacts to the situation is what defines the company. We stayed here on 8/5/15 and for the price of $107/night it was an amazing deal. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. Since it was a suite, it had a pull out sofa bed and my kids each had a bed to themselves. Perfect. Breakfast was the traditional affair for hotels like this. If I calculate correctly that is over $600 in lost revenue from loyal customers that booked an entire season of stays at the Comfort Suites. For the price we paid we had a very pleasant stay here at the Comfort Suites-Dillon. Our room was in decent shape, clean linens, came with a microwave and refrigerator. Air temperature was comfortable. The hallways has a slight odor and the main entrance always smelled like the swimming pool. Hot tub gets crowded during the busy hours from like 5-7 but they have two, one indoors and one outdoors which was nice. Coin laundry and vending machines on main floor. They serve breakfast daily which consists of bread items (toast, bagels, english muffins, some pastries). Egg slices and ham were served daily and sometimes sausage patties and bacon were also served. So basically you can make your own egg and ham breakfast sandwich. They also had a waffle maker so you could have that too. And cereal (plain chex, raisin brand, fruit loops), oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled egg, fruit. As well as juices and coffee. Decent enough. There was always someone working and refilling food. Overall very comfortable. If we had paid more then I would have expected more. But we had a nice stay. Would come back. It was also convenient that this is located in Dillon which is surrounded by a lot of amenities and stores. read more

Our TV was broken the entire time (despite repeated phone calls and promises that it would be addressed), our coffee pot didn't work, and the A/C/heating unit has one setting - on or off. I wanted to write this review when we stayed here last ski season (January 2017), but did not get around to it. This place is in decent shape and nicely located for what it is...a 2.5ish star hotel. It has clean rooms. The two hot tubs could be better...the inside tub had no (working) jets and on the outdoor tub, the jets were not forceful enough. For breakfast, there isn't nearly enough seating to accommodate everyone who might show up for breaksfast during high season when the place is very likely going to be full. However, it is what it is. My problem is with the staff, particularly a gem named Caitlin. When I was checking in, she was waiting on someone else. When she finished, she turns her back to me and says nothing, then spends five minutes near the rear of the front section, dropping items into small ziplock bags. She then turns around and says, quizzically, "Was there something you needed help with?" I tell her that yes, I have a reservation. She looks me up on the computer, then says, "You didn't pay for your room in advance, and the rate has gone up from $1007 to $1013...did you still want that room?" I am totally serious. Her tone was markedly officious. She gave me a card to fill out and the card asked for the make and model of our car, as well as the license plate. My girlfriend had dropped me off and was parking the car. I filled in the make and model and told Caitlin I wasn't sure of the license plate number, because the car was a rental. I told her I would get it later when we went out for dinner. She replied, "I can't let you do that, I am going to need you go out to the car and get that license plate number; we need to have that." (this is the first time this has EVER happened to me at a hotel). So I did what she asked. After I got my room keys, I told her I was unhappy with the way she had let me stand there for five minutes, and said that she could have at least told me, "I need to take care of something, I will be right with you." She replied by saying, "I thought you were with the others." This was even though they stood in tandem leaning on the counter and I was standing behind them and at least five feet to their left. We got to the room and when my girlfriend went to wash her face, the sink was clogged. We called back down to the front desk and got, guess who...Caitlin. We were told that there was no one on duty who could help us and she would be glad to change our room (it was only about 5 in the afternoon...we are not talking 1 am). We had already unpacked everything, filling all of the drawers, and laying out our clothes for the next day, and told her this would be a huge inconvenience. She repeated that there was nothing she could do before the next day. We asked for the manager's phone number. We were given his number. My girlfriend spoke with him and he was super belligerent, continuing to ask, "What do you want me to do?" She replied, "I want you to give me the services I paid for and that would reasonably include a working sink." He hung up on her. Five minutes later, unannounced, a maintenance man shows up at our door. Now, I have nothing against people who don't have command of English, but he knew not a word and he spoke to us loudly in his own language. He then took out a plunger which had been God knows where, and started to plunge the bathroom sink. Soon, there was a foul, fetid smell, as filthy water started to come back up through the drain. I asked (and motioned) for him to stop. My girlfriend went downstairs and got into a huge row with Caitlin. She (girlfriend) then comes back upstairs in tears and tells me, "That woman is an awful human being." I call down again and at that point, Caitlin says, "I want you to leave." Mind you, my girlfriend is African-American (the only non-white guest I saw during our stay there, outside of hotel workers while we were there...so imagine how this looks. I have no way of knowing if this was intentional, but it certainly doesn't look good for this outfit). I told Caitlin we were not going to leave and that it was an absolute outrage for her to even suggest such a thing. Needless to say, the rest of our stay there was ruined, as I had to pass by this woman nearly every time I walked in and out of the hotel. I tried to not deal with her and was largely successful, but I can't see either of us returning here. The gentleman did fix the sink. I asked him to return with cleaning supplies and remove the remnants of the mess he had made and he did so. We ended up giving him a small tip...I don't recall how much, but certainly none of this was his fault. read more

Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke, the air conditioner would only stay on for 2 minutes at a time, I found hair in my towel and on the bed, the desk was greasy and the bed is really uncomfortable. This is an okay hotel in a pinch but I would look elsewhere if you have the option. read more
