We found this hotel through Expedia as this was going to be a quick trip for a wedding. This was our first time at Comfort Suites and most likely our last time staying at Comfort Suites. The only positive was the decent breakfast they had. Hot breakfast, not continental. Waffles, sausages, eggs, biscuits. The beds were HARD. Hard as a . Room service did not clean our room after the first night, we stayed two nights. The outlets did not work in the main areas of the room which was frustrating to plug in our electronics. Comfort Suites with no Internet; web site said Free Internet! (their exclamation point). I entered my last name and room number as instructed but that did not work with repeated trials. Site asked for a passcode or payment. Front desk gave me a passcode to try but got a message "password expired." I was given a chance to PAY for the free Internet access. It was getting late so I gave up: no Internet after wasting an hour of my valuable sleep time. Toilet had permanent black streaks similar to those produced by excess manganese in untreated well water. Looked forward to breakfast, hoping for decent coffee and some healthy fresh fruit. Coffee was bad instant, dishwater-weak, spewed from a push-button machine; no bananas, no apples. Tired of the new Choice Hotels' cheap, nickel and diming to bleed the "guest." To me, that kind of treatment indicates complete contempt for the customer. as a business customer I had important work to do before I slept. These other reviews are old and, if true, the hotel must have had a major overhaul. At this price point, it was great! Very clean, spacious, bed was so comfortable and front desk gentleman extra pleasant. Breakfast was better than other hotels we stayed in during our vacation. We took heed from another review and asked for a room on the other side of the highway. No problem and quiet. If you're expecting luxury, you need to pay more and go to the Hilton. Booked a stay here 11/12/22 and paid $190 a night. When we arrived there was graffiti everywhere, homeless camps in the back yard of this hotel and drug use taking place. The room was absolutely filthy with holes in the walls, electrical sockets broke, cigarette burns on mattress, spilled food left in microwave, dirty refrigerator, smeared handprints on headboard, shredded carpet, and on and on. I'm not sure how this hotel/motel is still even in business. The nastiest place we've ever stayed- we canceled and were refunded. PLEASE RUN!!! read more

Remember to ask at this or any hotel, If the windows open or if they have a way to refresh the air in their rooms. I have no criticism of the staff or general upkeep of this Hotel; staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was typical of a moderate hotel stay, and absolutely satisfactory. By all of these measures I would give the place 4 stars for solid performance. Sheets and surfaces in my room were up to decent hotel standards, no problem there. But the air in the room was alarmingly stale. I found that windows were not designed to be opened, and called down to see if the heat/ac unit has a fresh air vent from the outside, or if any of the rooms had a way to exchange the air. The report was that they did not. My criticism is therefore both architectural, and health related. A system wide lack of any way to exchange the air in the rooms is unpleasant and likely to be unhealthy, as stale air may contain recirculated airborne pathogens like Covid or other respiratory ailments. I assume that the sealed building design was meant to "maximize efficiency" regarding air conditioning and heating. But staying at this or any hotel whose rooms have no system for air exchange (windows or vents) and also without a HEPA or similar filtration system in place, pose a potential health risk. Hotel guests have a right to assume they are not being put at risk in terms of air quality the same way they have a right to assume that electrical outlets in bathrooms around a water source are properly grounded and not likely to electrocute them. read more

I had book a stay from October 20-22 of 2023. I had drove all the way from Maryland to visit with one of my cousin. It was about an 8hr drive and when I arrived at 9pm, I was tired and wanted to relax (that's what I paid for, comfort and relaxation). When I got in my room the room wasn't clean. Most of all the bedsheets were dirty. There was only one person working and it was the front desk person. She had to come and try to change my bedsheets for me but, couldn't finish the rest due to her having to be at the front desk assisting another guest with getting her a shower curtain. She left me with some germicidal spray to sanitize the room myself. In the morning I had spoke to a so called manager that wasn't wearing a name tag and lied to me about getting me compensation for the inconvenience of my stay (that was the only room left and I had no choice but, to stay there considering how far I had drove and due to it being nearby where my cousin was staying. So, yeah if you feel like taking your chance on getting what I experienced which was not a comfortable stay, book a stay in this hotel. read more

Car got broken into. So, the hotel itself is decent. Nice large rooms. I parked my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee right outside the main lobby overnight between 05/07 and 05/08. I came to the car in the morning finding my car was broken into. And yes, I always lock my car as a force is habit. No sign of forced entry, but stuff was missing. Missing property were all trinkets, including two pocket knives, a first aid kit, and here's the kicker-- a lunch bag containing an apple and two energy bars. Glove compartment and armrest compartment were all tossed messy. When such low life criminals break into your car, I just feel contaminated, disgusted, filthy. The management said the camera out the front door wouldn't cover what happened because my car was "probably just blocked by those pillars". And no further assistance was given. "Due to corporate policy we're not responsible what happens to cars parked in our lot." All in all I'm very disappointed in the nonchalant attitude from the management over the incident. I would highly recommend future travelers lodge somewhere the management would give a damn. read more

My coworker and I booked a 4 nights stay because of a work trip. Upon arriving, after an hour, I found a bed bug in my bed. I immediately called the front desk and my coworker. At that point we just wanted a refund and to stay somewhere else. They refused us a refund unless the owner was present, and then called the police on us. I wish I was joking. We stayed here last night due to a wedding close by. I thought it was nice. We arrived early and they accommodated us by putting us in a room that was ready. The rooms themselves are nice. However our refrigerator was broken. I also wish they had a curtain inside the bath as it tends to get water all over the floor. The free breakfast is about what you expect nothing to write home about. The staff was all very nice. read more

This Comfort Suites is a little older, but still in great condition. It can be a challenge to get to, you have to weave around some restaurants and strip centers. The check-in lady was super nice and they offer cookies to guests. The hotel is super close to a Chick-Fila, Starbucks, Outback, Walmart etc. I had a first floor room facing the highway and you could hear the big trucks going down the road while laying in bed if the AC cut off. It was a little distracting when trying to get my beauty rest! The room was clean, they have a decent gym area, and a good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. I would just recommend requesting a room on the back side of the hotel if you prefer some quiet at night. read more

We have stayed at this hotel numerous of times over the past 8-10 years,never any issues but this particular time we ran into a problem.When we checked In Friday night for a weekend stay we notice the Commode flap wasn't flushing.The next morning when we decide to go hangout he let the front desk know and they said not a problem they will take care of it.We arrived back about six hours later and noticed they brought a plunger as if the commode was stopped up.So we had to deal with it yet another night because now it's late and don't have anyone to come check it out.Long story short the staff went over and beyond to make things right when we checked out it's so appreciate and of course we will be back. read more

My second visit was not as pleasant as my first. The place is a year older and slipping. No cookies in the lobby this time, room was not completely clean and even though there was an HBO guide on the guest packet, they have no premium channels, just basic cable. If you just need a good bed to crash for a night, this place is okay. If your looking for any amenities, keep looking. read more

When you walk it, it doesn't look so bad. The person that was behind the front desk looks like she just got out of bed and had very poor manners. The room is not very nice. The carpet has a significant number of stains (I feel the need to wear shoes in the room). There are numerous areas that look like they need repairs. The room is laid out poorly (I can't see the TV from the desk due to a half wall) and I can't move much because everything is fixed to the wall. I would recommend staying somewhere else. read more

When my wife and I arrived later at night, the person running the front desk gave us the key to the wrong room. While we were in the room, the lady proceeded to knock on the door aggressively, yelling at us to get out and she was going to ask us to leave the hotel! She was very rude and tried to make the situation seem as is it were our fault. We finally got everything situated, and the rooms were ok... We stayed here for just one night. The hotel is newly renovated so it was super clean and nice. However there was a heavy smell of smoke in the hall. We complained twice the night we checked in and nothing was done. Thankfully it could not be smelled in our actual room. The next morning I spoke to Chesney, the desk attendant who was GREAT! Very spacious and clean rooms. Nice bed and clean sheets. Bigger fridge compare to other hotels. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. They have guest appreciation dinner once a week. Appetizers and drinks. We stayed here for few weeks for out of town work. The only bad comment is how unprofessional the breakfast attendant lady is. While the room and efficiencies were awesome, they have no security or cameras. Several vehicles were broken into the first night including one of the guest in my room. It makes a great weekend turn bad once that happens. If they had security and/or cameras, this may have been prevented. Again the room was great and everyone at the front desk was very pleasant.
