We had a group of about 200 that stayed there from Dec. 6-9, 2024. The staff was absolutely amazing namely Kim from Charleston and our best staff member Jessica. They made sure our stay was enjoyable even though the Polar Express kids were running down the hallways and making noise. Not the staffs fault. This Hampton Inn is located in Salisbury, NC very close to the 75 freeway. Parking is ample and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The 4th floor was very quiet and the only issue I had was the subpar breakfast. The breakfast sausage was not flavorable and the eggs were from a mix vs being freshly cooked. Staff are very friendly and each room does have a mini fridge and microwave. read more

Pros: - dog friendly at no additional cost - practicing social distancing - great water pressure - tons of parking - very nice staff - at least two restaurants in the same plaza (walking distance) - gas station right across the street Cons: - noise. Walls are paper thin and you HAVE to slam the doors shut otherwise they won't lock. I mean this is standard and I generally sleep with ear plugs, but prefer not to when traveling with the dog. - the HVAC unit is SO LOUD. - I had requested a room in the least populated section of the hotel but upon arrival, the app told me my room had changed and there was no one at the front desk to assist. (6 hrs on the road did not make me want to wait). - stayed in the same room on floors 3 and 4 (2 separate stays within a few weeks of one another). WiFi is non existent in the penthouse. read more

We had to stay at this hotel overnight because I had outpatient surgery nearby the next morning. Overall, a pleasant stay in nice clean rooms and nice breakfast buffet the next morning. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The only problem was our two rooms overlooked the pool area and while the pool was closed, a group gathered around the table outside the pool area by the grill and were very loud until around 11 p.m. that night. We wondered if they were even hotel guests because cars came, parked, and then left. Could locals be using your grounds to party? Suggest security be tightened for a more pleasant restful stay for your guests. read more

We checked into room 414 and it reeked so bad of cigarettes. Literally smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes in this room. Tried to suck it up and then we ended up calling down and they put us in a different room around 10pm. The new room smelled much better. But around 10:30 someone else tried to come into the room with a key. Thank god we had the safety lock up in the room so they could not get it. My husband got up from bed to see what was going on and the man outside said "oh they must have given me the wrong room at the front desk" .... Not a fan of someone trying to come into our room with a key while we were trying to sleep. I give 3 stars because they were accommodating and put us in a new room. read more

What a nice surprise it was when we arrived after midnight on Christmas weekend to actually have a room as we requested on the first floor! The front desk clerk promptly greeted me, read the notes and told me they have the room as we requested, gave me an overview (breakfast, gym, office, WiFi code, back access door, etc). The hotel is clean and lobby & entrance were nicely decorated. Our room had dark cherry wood furnishing and bathroom was bright, clean, & spacious. The stay was short but very pleasant! I would love to come back here if I'm ever in the area again!! Oh forgot to mention it's also pet friendly! (we took our 19lbs Beagle mix pup) Check was easy, prompt & pleasant too. Tiny beds. Great service. These are full sized beds, and even then they look smaller than other full sized I've seen. Definitely are not queen sized. 2 adults would be very cramped in these full sized beds. And they are not supposed to put a roll-away bed in the rooms with 2 full beds. So just a heads up to that when you book your room. The building looks older, and some of the furnishings show that this is an older Hampton. However, while it is not modern or ungraded, it is still in really great condition and not worn down at all. The room was very comfortable and nice. Most Hamptons I've stayed at have a snack room behind the front desk where you can pick out snacks, drinks, or even frozen meals and bill them to your room. This hotel doesn't have that, which is a shame as it's a really nice feature that most Hamptons have. All they have here are vending machines. The breakfast was similar to other Hamptons I've stayed at. The staff were amazingly nice and accommodating. Really went above and beyond to make sure you're happy and well taken care of. read more

I stay at Hilton's every week but am usually not a fan of Hampton Inns so I was a little disappointed that is the only option for Salisbury but my mind was quickly changed upon arrival!!! First, there are parking spots right out front for diamond members so that was great! When I walked into the lobby I was immediately impressed by the modern and cozy updates and even more impressed by the friendly staff!! The hallways are big and very bright which almost never happens at an old hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a huge bathroom! The only downside I have is that the AC unit doesn't go below 68 and I love sleeping in a very cold room...this was a huge negative for me read more

Just a convenient hotel for the location. It's not the greatest representation of Hampton Inns though. Cons: 1 small tv in the lobby and breakfast area. Old smelly hallways, and grubby feeling rooms. I've been to this hotel each year for the past 5 as I travel in for business. Sadly (because it's convenient to my work) this was my last stay at the hotel. For the past two years it's been cram packed when I arrive. Not typically a problem but kids are running around everywhere, completely unsupervised. This is a problem with parenting, not the hotel, but....they took over the business center and the fitness center. When I was in the laundry area, doing my wash, on Saturday night, at least half a dozen kids ranging in age from maybe 7 to 14 were beating the crap out of the cardio equipment (e.g. turning on the treadmills and bikes as fast as they could go, pressing the button to raise and flatten them, repeatedly). They were eating and throwing candy wrappers on the floor. In fact, I cleaned it up before going back to my room TWICE. The one day I did use the fitness center myself (Tuesday night) - I prefer to go to the Forum - one of the treadmills wouldn't elevate any more and we (there were three of us in there) were lucky if we could get either of the remotes to work. We were only successful after shaking them and tapping them into the palms of our hands. There are free weights but no bench at all. I did my shoulder presses while sitting on the recumbent bike. Guests sitting outside my window, broke a cement bench, that was there with a "patio" table. It was as if people were just running wild - doing whatever they wanted. The line for breakfast wrapped around the lobby. I just gave up, grabbed coffee, and went back to my room. Each night I could hear one woman screaming, "Oh God" (no exaggeration) all evening as she partook in amorous activities. Again, not the hotel's "fault" but holy crap. I travel 200 days a year and have been doing so for over a decade. Never have the walls been so thin or the guests so loud that I've had to listen to this night after night. The staff were friendly. Having Peggy in the lobby most mornings to give a warm greeting was nice. I liked having the ability to do laundry since I had been traveling for three weeks already. We stayed here recently as part of a wedding party and I was pleasantly surprised at how new and up-to-date this Hampton Inn seemed based on the town being on the smaller side. The room was great and very comfortable. Even though we were near the elevator, noise wasn't a problem. Two issues we had with the room were 1) the thermostat wouldn't go lower than 68 degrees which isn't that big of a deal but it felt warmer than that at night and slightly uncomfortable, 2) they have a weird built in TV box instead of just regular cable and it malfunctioned most of the time were there (Luckily we had lots of wedding activities to keep us busy instead). The staff was all very nice and super helpful. The breakfast had all the basic options as well as the fresh waffles and this cool microwave where you could choose from frozen items that day (like french toast, chicken biscuits, quesadillas) and then you pressed the picture button on the microwave and it heated it. May not that exciting for some, but its the little things! Overall if we end up in Salisbury again sometime, I would happily stay here. read more

This was my first time staying at this hotel and right away I was impressed by their customer service. I was greeting right away with a smile and although I was checking in early, they accommodated me and my family into a room. I was traveling with family and they made sure all of our rooms were near each other and on the same floor. The free breakfast was so convenient especially traveling with several small children. Everyone was completely satisfied. The highlight was the professionalism from Teresa and Leah at guest services. It was a busy Sunday; there was a car show and graduations going on so there were many who were checking in/out. Originally I was going to check out but I needed to extend my trip. They were able to make the changes while still remaining professional to all the other guests waiting to check out. You don't see that type of customer service these days and it made our trip so much more enjoyable. I will definitely come back again!! read more

Second stay at this Hampton Inn. Our son is in college in Salisbury. Being away from home and staying here is a true pleasure. The staff is very attentive, and friendly. They even make sure we leave with breakfast for the road! The free breakfast is one of the best around. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the rooms are large. The queen bed is actually a full and I checked the 100% polyester duvet cover to confirm. Too small and the non-cotton comforter made us sweat. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and have never experienced that nor the sub-par breakfast. Usually many choices, including a protein. This had many microwave options which is not the HI norm. Nevertheless the staff was very nice and overall the rooms were nice. read more

I really want to give this hotel a good review but I can't. I'm a business traveler and I frequently say in Hampton inns. There are two main problems with this Hampton Inn. First their Internet is excruciatingly slow. I spoke with the desk clerk and she said that they did not think they had any problems. Second their breakfast consists of food in bags that you heat in the microwave. It's like Mystery food you don't know what you get until you heat it and it's not very good. The desk clerk said that soon they will be cooking their own food. The hotel is otherwise nice but I still can't recommend it because of the Internet and the food. At $122 a night it's just not worth the price. read more

I stayed for one night during a quick business trip to the area. The price was very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by a number of things. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bathroom products were Neutrogena, there were plenty of towels, there were plenty of electrical outlets, the bed was very comfortable, and I liked that there was a small sign on the headboard to indicate that the bed cover was clean and fresh. Special recognition for Paulette of the morning front desk staff who was very friendly and pleasant to interact with. I will stay at this Hampton Inn the next time I'm in the area. read more
