Simple and quaint, yet well located. Fair price, clean appearance at sight (there was water marks on the night stand between beds) set up well for rest/sleep. The breakfast was a bit lacking...limited options on breakfast for seniors or anyone with present health concerns. Too many sugar/starch; not enough simpler needs and restricted on tea choice for non-coffe drinkers.

Get to check in with my luggage on a Wednesday only to find out the elevator is down till Friday afternoon!! Had to carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs with no help even offered. Front desk lady said she could cancel my reservation when I asked if I could get help up to my room. Also, the room was dingy I wouldn't call it dirty but definitely gives the ick.

This place needs to shutdown and redo everything. The carpets were littered with stains and residue. Sheets smelled like mildew. Ice maker looked like it was hooked up to the septic system. Not to mention waking up to roaches in the room. Disgusting

I stayed in room 105. The room was hot and took over 12 hours to cool down when I arrived. No one was ever at the front desk. At one point 3 employees were all outside smoking while I sat waiting for someone to help me for over 10 minutes. At other times they are in the back. There was a HUGE roach in the hallway. The shower head in my room was so old the rubber pieces were disintegrating. The business center is not free to use as with other Choice hotels. They charge for copies. I will never go back to this location! The 1 positive, The bed was comfortable.

This was a mid priced hotel $100 plus per night booked through booking.com. If I could have slept in my truck I would have. I have literally never stayed in a room this degraded and this hotel is not ancient. This is total lack of concern for guest. I did not unpack a single thing. The sofa is ripped in multiple places cushions basically falling apart. Chair has stains all over it We checked the bed for bedbugs and thank heaven found no signs. The bed was hard. The pillows were like rocks. Bathroom only had one single wash cloth in it. The mirror in the bathroom had finger prints on it. Luckily I keep a can of Lysol with me when I travel and always go in and spray everything before bringing any belongings in. Extremely disappointed with the quality this room should have been a $39 a night special. I only hope other rooms are not like this one.

This was such a necessary Texas staycation. I was in town for my nephew's bday. Had a great time being able to relax in their super clean tub and rest on their spacious bed. Next time maybe I'd be with a friend. The cleaning lady here was so nice on my first day here. There are definitely healthy options here for breakfast so eat well!

Looks to be a nice, middle-upper hotel in most aspects but needs maintenance. Nice pool and spa area. Front desk let us have an extra 30 minutes as we got in late. Desk has a lower pull-out that is handy; fridge and microwave in room. Handicap ramp access is not available at the end doors. I had to go through the main lobby. Rooms seem very nice until you look close: dark lighting; walls, doors, door frames need to be wiped down; toilet paper holder needs cleaned on more than the end (see photo); paint is starting to chip in spots; mattresses on both beds were awful - hard on the edges, soft in the middle; one bed too close to partition so you could barely get in or out; shower has fixed head that is hard for short people to reach; bathroom counter curves out into standing space by toilet making it hard for more than one person to come in (necessary if you have kids or an adult that needs help. Front desk did bring us a shower chair promptly upon request. Breakfast offering had a good variety of hot and cold foods. Would probably stay here again for just the pool and spa.

To dip, or not to dip. That is the question?

A great Comfort Suites. Appears to be pretty new because everything looks new and updated. Good location, one block off the highway. Kristina, at the front desk was very helpful on a place to eat. As usual, great beds, pillows, and A/C. A good place to stay. And the points for free nights sure doesn't hurt!

I was admittedly a bit worried about staying at a usually mediocre hotel in a small town.

They botched our reservation and charged us for a "no show" for another 2 rooms for 2 nights. (We pointed it out and were told the charges would be reversed but we've haven't yet seen our credit card bill to confirm.) We learned that others at the wedding booked on-line and laid mush less. Silly us. The rooms were perfectly mediocre but the bathroom sink aerator was faulty and sprayed all over the counter with normal use. We reported it to the desk but nothing was done. On our second night, the push-button toilet wouldn't flush without lifting the lid pushing directly on the interior mechanism. We give this 2-star hotel 2 stars (rather than 1) to acknowledge the front desk staff people, who were lovely. They - and you -can do better.

They allow guests to handle food with their bare hands and allow kids to touch all of the items in the buffet with their dirty hands. Yes, I understand there are families with young children and need to have everyone in one room but when it's four adults and about four to five unruly kids that's ridiculous. The manager asked to call the office if there were issues but even when that was done, nothing changed. I will never stay at this establishment again. Worse place ever.

There were 4 of us and only 2 cellophane wrapped honey buns, likely purchased at the gas station next door, and 5 or 6 bite size muffins. I mean one bite muffin.... There were also some flavorless apples in a basket by the desk and a toaster. When breakfast is advertised I expect a breakfast to help get me going in the morning, especially when we pay more for it . And we expect it to feed at least a family of 4! There were cigarette burns in the sheets and several several several beer bottles and cigarettes on the balcony by the room doors. Crickets made themselves at home all over the inside and outside areas. The pool was too dark after dark, all though the sign said it is open till 10pm.

Needed a place for me and a buddy on the cheap. Thankfully we found this place. The young man at…read morethe front desk was nice and accommodating. The cleaners were friendly, too. Lots of ice without a bad flavor. We saw not a single roach, sad if you are hoping to see all the ones mentioned in other reviews. If it makes you feel better, we did have 3 moody flies that kept to themselves. The room was clean at first sight. When you start to look closely, you find all the things you see at any older motel off the highway in a small town for a room under $100 a night. So why bother to inspect so closely and act all uppity in shock when you find these standard issues? Oh, yeah, because we are some entitled SOBs, aren't we? Yes, this is an older hotel in need of an update, but then where would we stay for under $100 a night? Oh, my. There are other places in town not as much in need of these updates. The outlet between the beds was as loose as my girlfriend. The plug kept falling out like her 10th baby. But there was another outlet just behind the night stand. The air from the air conditioner fills up the curtains like a tramp's skirt on a subway grate, so bring some old books to prop against them so the air gets into the room, instead. The roaches will appreciate a cooler room. It was a quiet room. We played annoying music but no one complained. Our fridge was missing a leg and each time we opened it it lurched at us like a brain-starved zombie. Made for a fun game of catch the beer before it tumbles out. They cleverly removed the smoke detector to let us assume that our room was being watched by a 2 way mirror instead of a hidden cam. We had no black mold in the room, so when we woke up coughing, we had to blame it on the pot we dreamed of smoking instead. The light in the bathroom didn't work, so we couldn't see the blood stains on the shower curtain. It was so disappointing. There were no bedside lamps, so the lighting wasn't as comfy as the places in town that charge a few dollars more. So go stay at those places if this is going to be an issue. The water was hot enough we could have boiled lobsters in the tub. Thank goodness there was a knob to control the heat. I didn't say the knob stayed on the whole time, but we got a room for under $100 a night. I can deal with a shower water knob falling off. There were some stains on the bottom part of my mattress. If they were sex stains, I sure would like to meet the folk responsible. They got some talented positions to make those in the locations I saw. The beds were comfy and each had 3 pillows. Great for the big egos that stay here. I'm so glad to hear the people say they won't stay there again. I would hate to come across them next time I do. They complain about the small seating area for the breakfast, like you can't take the packaged danishes and cup of coffee to the room to keep the bugs entertained while they watch you eat. There was a pregnant woman who complained the place was so bad I think she miscarried.

Wow, what a dive. It was a cheap place to stay in every sense of that word…read more This hotel is old and run down. We had to jiggle the door to get it to a point where we could lock it. There's no elevator, so you have to lug your bags upstairs if you get a room on the second level. And the free breakfast consisted of two types of cereal, the usual "make your own" waffle stuff, prepackaged pastries and coffee. There was no tea and not much selection in general. On the positive side, we stayed in several hotels during our trip to Texas and this one had one of the largest rooms of the bunch. It also came with both a fridge and a microwave which is a huge plus in my book. And like I said, it's cheap. It cost us half the price to stay here that we'd been paying in other hotels. And though everything was pretty run down, I have to admit that the room was clean. ... Oh, and the wifi worked like a charm. That's another thing that was better here than many of the other hotels we were in, but I'm guessing that's in large part because the kind of clientele that this hotel serves probably doesn't hop online all that often. There is a pool, but we didn't have time to check it out. I only stayed in this hotel because everything anywhere near Austin was full thanks to SXSW. While I've experienced better, I have to say that for the money, this is a pretty decent deal. Just be prepared to jiggle the door if you want to lock it. And bring your own breakfast.
