Sometimes I feel like the "ratings" don't allow me to accurately portray my feelings. I mean I know…read morethat's what the actual review box is for, but of course people pay a lot of attention to the stars, so... I don't know. Anyway, Stephanie called me to apologize... sincerely. You know how some people just apologize because of the whole "the customer is always right" mantra. Well she apologized because she gave me her real feelings initially and also let me know that after she reflected she realized she was in the wrong. I appreciated that. We're human, so it's only real that we feel some type of way about the situation but it takes maturity to reflect on the situation and identify whether you are truly in the right or wrong. She also let me know that I can come back for a free service. I appreciate that as well. I mean she apologized profusely. And I truly believe it's because she knows that whole scenario could have played out a whole different way. She let me know if I ever feel negatively about something when I come for a service to come to her so it can be resolved immediately. That's cool too. So! Will I be back?... maybe. I know I get a free service, but by the time I need a cut or some other service I probably won't be near that area anymore. I'm all about venturing to far out places for a service or product(s), but we'll see. When I find a service/product that I truly love, I'm loyal. No really... I still go to my esthetician in Cary when I go home. All in all... try Stephanie out. I mean she is great at what she does and she does have an "open door" policy, which I'm sure anyone can appreciate.

I figure I'd wait a few days to write this review after getting my hair cut. Well it's been longer…read morethan that. For some like myself it takes a few days to get used to a cut. I had to wear it a few ways to see how good or bad it is. And well... It's good. I had to clip a few pieces but ultimately I love my hair. I asked her to layer it and she did a good job. However I do have a few suggestions: 1. Ask how the person wears their hair. I wear mine parted on the side ALL THE TIME and the cut was done with a part down the middle and this probably why I had to cut a few pieces of my own hair. Luckily this turned out well enough for me to not mess it up. 2. Is a cut and wash really $40???!!! Is that what we doing in Charlotte my people? Now originally when I came in to make the appointment she told me a cut and wash was $25. I didn't want a style, so I'm thinking that's cool. I come in and she cut my hair ONLY for $25. She must have forgotten that I wanted a wash. I didn't say anything because I thought she was going to wash my hair afterwards (which would be a bit odd to me), but she's the expert so I rolled with it. I asked how much extra a wash would be. She said $15. Say what now? For a dry cut, I probably could have had my Godmother do it for me. She did my wedding hair and it came out fabulous. People thought a professional did it. 3. Make sure to write down along with my information, what I asked for. When that's done you will see the exact service(s) requested and how much you told me it would cost. Although I would think the services are the same across the board. This was the mistake it seems that the previous salon made. That was a whole other situation that caused them to never see my face in there again. All in all, I'm happy with the result. But after being told that I could get my hair washed and cut for less, I've decided to go in a different direction. I mean let's remember, I asked for only a wash and cut... no style. For that I'm willing to pay $25. Anything more is just highway robbery. But hey, if you can afford a $40 cut and wash and you have natural hair my sistahs, then you'll be in good hands. Well at least make sure you tell her how you wear your hair. That would make all the difference in the world.
