The plumber was at my home as scheduled to check out my system, but before he would do anything, he told me that I have to pay $460 (plus tax) for labor, and if the disposal system needs to be replaced, it will cost me at least $750 (plus tax). He said he could only go as low as $300 (plus tax), after checking with his supervisor. I thought it's overpriced so since my issue wasn't urgent , I declined to have it fixed. I found a local plumber, who didn't charge for an inspection and charged me a total of $450 including labor to replace the broken system with a new garbage disposal system. Customers should beware of Plumbing services who claim to have free estimates on site but would charge desperate customers exorbitantly, especially if the plumbing issue needs to be fixed urgently!

Most of them are just upset to have to be dealing with household management. I understand, but it's not fair. They replaced our water inlet valves for our washing machine - 10/10 service. It was pricey, but you get what you pay for. They didn't charge us for new hoses. The new valves are fantastic. Huge improvement. We also had them upgrade our entire HVAC. They gave us a VERY competitive price. Knocked an entire grand off for booking the same week. Minor issue after install and they called in someone who had technically just ended their shift. Above and beyond. We joined their protection plan for priority scheduling plus a free AC and furnace inspection annually. Holding off on the free plumbing inspection to do our own due diligence first. You only see Donnelly's trucks around my area for a reason. Outstanding quality. My advice would be to seek more estimates for smaller jobs, but do not hesitate for big/important projects. Clean, respectful, down to earth. Highly recommend!

I called Donnelly's to get their assistance with diagnosing an issue with our in-wall Roman-style…read moretub faucet that was experiencing poor hot water flow. After identifying the faucet model number, cartridge size and installation details, I expected the technician to be capable of helping me get over the final hurdle and check everything out. Because it wasn't a "name brand" OEM (it's a Home Depot in-store brand - FLG) that uses a generic cartridge rather than a manufacturer specific one, plus the fact that the faceplate appeared to be secured with silicone caulk (it wasn't - just two rubber O-rings for the opening for the diverter valve and the main cartridge body), he said that his manager could only authorize a COMPLETE VALVE BODY REPLACEMENT - which would have involved removing the tub, tearing out tile and drywall, and several hours worth of work. He wouldn't even touch it other than removing the covers to expose the lock screws that held the handle in place. He said he'd need an Allen key and would have to pull the cover completely off to get to the shutoff valves in the valve body. What self-respecting plumber DOESN'T CARRY ALLEN KEYS to install small handles and hardware? I was so angry that I shut off the water main and the hot water to the house and started disassembling the handle and removing the cartridge before he was even gone. Fifteen minutes later I'd diagnosed that the cartridge was fine, so I went ahead and pulled off the faceplate, found the local shutoff valves, cycled them closed and open again, and then tested the cartridge to find that the water was flowing perfectly! I wasted a $49 diagnostic fee on mediocre service. Plus, the guy smelled strongly of cigarettes, which was very unpleasant. The only thing he did right was put on foot covers when he walked into our home. I want my money back! TLDR: I do not recommend this company. They fleeced us for a diagnostic fee and I fixed the issue myself in 20 minutes.
