I'll start with parking at its important for a venue as such. The parking was very feasible as there were a few paid and non-paid options all within walking distance. I was at the venue for a 3rd party event and everything seemed to be ran well. For it to be a entertainment venue a major plus is that it was well ventilated. My only complaint would be the wait and layout of the pop bars in the pit. The alcohol choices were limited and the wait was easily 40+ mins. Other than that I enjoyed the event being held here.

We came to see the Cirque Du Soleil show Ovo. We came on a Sunday and so getting in and out and parking were a breeze. Parking was included with our ticket, which is appreciated. There was a lovely woman directing foot traffic, as there are a few entrances and there was no signage indicating where you were to enter. Once we were in, there were metal detectors and they scan your ticket. Comerica has one of those annoying clear bag policies, or you can bring a clutch no bigger than 4x6 inches. Considering the lack of pockets in womens fashion, I find this rule most irritating. I tend to take that into consideration when attending an event. There isn't a lot of room to move around before finding your seat. It isn't a high capacity venue but moving around the bar, merch, and candied nuts, it is a bit tight. However the bathrooms were clean, the employees I encountered were friendly, and while the show encourages photography, they do not allow the use of flash or to record. There actually were people there looking out for that but they didn't seem to be rude or overly bothersome. Cirque shows are always fantastic. Once seated, we fully enjoyed the experience.

Attended the Legends last game with tickets my kids received from school. Thank you Legends for the ticket donation and opportunity for a family activity. I give the event 3 stars out of five. After waiting in the long face paint line that only had 2 people working, the line for the play area, then concessions, it was the 3rd quarter of the game. Needless to say I was tired and beyond ready to sit down and actually watch the game. Waited in 2 concession lines with my card getting charged in both to only have them be out of cotton candy and popcorn.

Great arena, perfect size, seats are well maintained. We went for the circus and had a great time. But the food was awful! The pretzel crumbled to nothing, it was stale and horrible. The milkshake from the diner was $8 and was hardly mixed. The guy handed it to us saying "sorry we don't have lids", that's not going to work for me when I have 2 little ones. Thankfully another guy working gave us a soda cup and lid to pour it in. The size was pretty good for the price but we probably only drank a quarter of it because it was mixed. Scoops of ice cream and chunks of peanut butter when we ordered the chocolate covered banana shake which doesn't even sound like it has peanut butter in it. Definitely go to the venue but skip the food.

Shows were alright. Nothing much to say except a cheap entertaining night if you have nothing else to do.

The halftime bands sound better, too, because the acoustics are better. I've sat in both floor (VIP) seats and the general (stadium) seats, and they're both good. The way the coliseum is set up, there's not a bad seat in the house. It's also on the DART light rail line, but I always drive and just pay the $10 to park. I guess you could park by one of the restaurants or bars by Exposition Park and walk over but I don't. Check their website for bout details and tickets. It's usually cheaper to get them ahead of time, which is what I do.

I have always had hot and cold experiences with shops dating back even before Players Bench and Monkey Sports came around. I brought my old Vapors in to compare with whatever skates I was trying on that night. I ended up buying another pair of Vapors that were on clearance and skated on them a couple times. They definitely felt a lot more aggressive than my last pair. Enter Ryan and Parker. Both of them helped me on different occasions and was easily able to talk hockey as well as babble about our favorite NHL teams. I felt comfortable from the start and there was no nonsense which came highly appreciated. We decided the pair of Supremes I tried on were more in line with my skating style now, so we swapped out. On first skate, I knew these were my skates. I have dealt with the aforementioned shops before and ended up dealing with clowns. The guys here at Pure Hockey are straightforward and explain their methodology and the science behind it all. Most important is that it all makes sense and is consistent. I even saw a mom come in to buy skates for her son and they spoke to her the same way they spoke to me! Kudos to the staff here. Looking forward to replacing more gear in the near future!
