We went to a RoughRiders game on Mavericks Night through the Get Out pass. There are free parking…read morenear the stadium and paid parking for $15 or so. I believe there are two entrances (uncertain if one entrance is for special guests only) and the line goes by quick (just make sure you pull up your tickets). We were immediately greeted by the Texas Legends mascot. The School of Rock The Colony were playing on the right of the main entrance. We walked around and visited 2-3 vendors handing out swag. There's a small playground on the left side for little ones with some seating areas for big ones. Across the way, there's an inflatables Kid Zone (about four bounce houses, one soccer, and one basketball) for $5 each kid. We went at the beginning of September when it was still 90 degrees at 7 pm. Fortunately, we were under the shade so it didn't feel so bad. Throughout the game, there were deals for special plays. For instance (making this up since I can't remember exactly), Jet's Pizza offered free corner pizzas since the RoughRiders hit a double. One of the concession stands offered $3 off an alcoholic drink because of a particular play. That was nice! A gentleman went around selling raffle tickets called 50/50. I don't know how often they draw the tickets, but you purchase a certain amount of tickets (the more you purchase, the better the discount) and it goes into a prize pool. They wait a few games and draw a winner. The winner will keep 50% of the pool. For our raffle, the winner won over $3,000. Check out their site as you can book group outings (sit in a wagon or the terrace), first pitch, and lazy river. They have special nights and will have fireworks on certain nights (cancelled when we went due to the burn bạn). The biggest downside about the stadium, though it's expected, is the cost of concessions. A bottle of water goes for $6 or so. Eat and drink before you go so you don't have to spend so much money at the game. The coolest thing about the game is that we sat in section 121 and at the end of every inning, a player would toss a ball in our direction. Book section 121 and bring your baseball mitt.

They hold every athlete to a high standard and push us to become better swimmers and people with every bit of assistance along the way, no matter your unique situation. The team culture is just as incredible. The camaraderie between the athletes has created a fun, supportive, and hardworking environment where everyone pushes each other to improve. From my experience, the one-star reviews don't reflect TFA at all. If you join a competitive club wanting to get better, you should expect your coaches and teammates to challenge you and hold you accountable. Some negative reviews seem to come from frustration with those expectations rather than a true representation of the club. I'm extremely proud to swim for TFA and genuinely wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

All staff where the same colored shirts on the same day, so there is an identifiable uniform. Just as cheer wears a certian uniform, socks, shoes, bows etc. So they can be identified and show as a team. (Have different shirts for customers to buy vs the same as staff) 2. *Consistency* in how a class is taught when you have multiple instructors (different one each week) is key for many! (Example: warm up the same, next exercise/apparatuse the same and how the present, explain and demonstrate, and so on) -When there is so much variation students tend to get confused. 3. Show the student how to do the exercise, do not just mark it, as many do not have an idea. Example Cartwheel - show a cartwheel, explain a cartwheel, then help student do cartwheel (just like you do a routine marked or full out, show full out!) 4. When classes are going on, random gym kids are wondering the floor and getting in the way of others. This is a safety hazard and rude to the ones participating in a class. 5. Staff should not be allowed phone use (or even on the mat) during a teaching of a class. 6. Staff greets as one walks in, Hospitality goes a long way in a competitive market (vs talking to friends) Overall kids enjoyed, instructors are nice, however had no big take aways or building on skills. We will be looking for another gym to try.

I normally do not write negative reviews, especially about a facility where our volleyball teams…read morehave played for the past three years, but the change we have seen at Frisco Fieldhouse has been extremely disappointing. Two or three years ago, I would have described the Fieldhouse as a very professional organization. There seemed to be a genuine emphasis on sportsmanship, accountability, fair competition, and maintaining the integrity of recreational sports. Coaches and teams were expected to follow the rules, and there appeared to be very little tolerance for cheating. Unfortunately, that is no longer the experience we have had. Over the last year in particular, the culture has changed drastically. From our perspective, the focus seems to have shifted away from maintaining a fair recreational sports program and more toward simply collecting league fees and filling teams. Last season, we began noticing teams stacking their rosters and using players who were not consistent with the rosters we had competed against. We brought our concerns directly to Fieldhouse staff. What shocked me was being told that there was essentially nothing they could do unless we paid a $50 roster-check fee. Think about that for a moment. We are already paying to participate in a recreational league, yet if we believe another team may be violating roster rules, we have to pay an additional $50 just to have the Fieldhouse verify whether its own league rules are being followed. Why should coaches and parents have to pay extra to protect the integrity of the league? We eventually had an incident involving what we believed was clear roster manipulation, and we even provided video evidence to staff. Despite that, we felt our concerns were largely dismissed and nothing meaningful was done. I have personally attempted to contact Cole Fimbel regarding concerns about the direction of the sports programs and the decline in accountability. Other coaches have told me they have experienced similar difficulty getting responses. Yet emails promoting upcoming seasons continue to arrive regularly while the cost of participating in these recreational leagues continues to increase. That disconnect is frustrating. There is also growing concern among coaches about favoritism and potential conflicts of interest because some individuals involved with these programs also have relationships with other sports organizations or schools. Whether intentional or not, when complaints are not addressed consistently, it creates the appearance that certain teams or organizations receive different treatment. The officiating has also become increasingly inconsistent. Everyone understands that referees will miss calls -- that is part of sports. But consistency, professionalism, and accountability should still be expected when families are paying to participate. What is perhaps most disappointing is watching longtime teams leave. There were several volleyball teams we looked forward to playing every season, and over time we noticed many of them had moved their programs to PSA or elsewhere. Unfortunately, PSA was not a practical option for us because most of our players live close to the Fieldhouse, so we continued trying to make it work. After this summer, however, we decided we were done. This summer was our final season playing volleyball at Frisco Fieldhouse. That decision was not made because we lost games. We have won and lost plenty over the years, and that is part of sports. It was made because we no longer had confidence that the rules would be enforced consistently or that legitimate concerns from coaches would be taken seriously. Recreational sports should be about giving kids an opportunity to compete, develop, and enjoy the game in a fair environment. Coaches should not have to investigate opposing rosters, produce video evidence, repeatedly contact administrators, and then be asked to pay another $50 just to have league rules verified. I sincerely hope the Fieldhouse takes the criticism from coaches and families seriously and works toward restoring the professionalism and integrity that made this facility enjoyable several years ago. Unfortunately, based on our experience over the past year, we could no longer justify bringing our teams back.
