Fireworks on Friday nights (May 2025)
    Samantha G.

I honestly did not know that we had such a cute little stadium in Frisco! The baseball stadium is way smaller than the TX rangers, but so cute! The field has a lot of interactive activities for kids, and raffles/games for adults. The baseball field was very clean! Loved the fireworks at the end of the Friday games! Plenty of parking.

My lady & her daughter and myself decided to attend a celebrity softball game.. the facility and the atmosphere was very festive and clean. The weather was fantastic. The game was a lot of fun and entertaining as well. God Bless ALL the veterans and service men & women that keep us ALL safe everyday. We were feeling a little peckish and decided to get some food. I ate it but, I think it was a sausage dog wrapped in bacon. Bun wa stale, dog was not very warm and the bacon was stringy. $40 to feed everyone is not unexpected but maybe open up some better food options when the park is open. Overall it was a great time and memories were made. Stay safe.

We had a amazing work event for my hubby's work. Family day for Web industries. So much fun and very family friendly .. roughriders won ! Bathrooms were so clean . Prices are not cheap but portions are a good size ... haha I couldn't believe that people were still swimming even though it was overcast and cool we will be back ! Little boy got lost and we made sure he found his mom.. that was sweet he couldn't stop crying .. but I reminded him we would find his mom and dad !

Don't sleep on this minor league team! The games are fun, and family friendly, and way cheaper than a Rangers game! The RoughRiders stadium and experience is great for all ages and they really do a great job of enticing you to come, with various theme nights, fireworks after the game on the weekends, a lazy river pool option. I mean the opportunities are endless. Check the website to see before booking your tickets. We went on a night they collaborated with the Mavs, and got some really cool Riders jerseys with our tickets. The food options are plentiful. Definitely get a loaded brisket baked potato from the Smoke House place, did not disappoint! But honestly they have lots of good options outside of your typical baseball fare. The mascots are great and lively and keep you entertained throughout the game as well. Definitely a fun day spent at the ballpark!

This is a really cool stadium if you have kids...there is a playground within the stadium fence! Our 4 year old loved the playground and lasted for so many more innings than he would have otherwise. The three mascots were great with kids and they also have a mascot dog that you can pet at the playground after one of the innings. Really cool experience and I highly recommend!

As a part a Solar Eclipse trip with my baseball traveling buddies of many years, we opted to see a double A minor game between the Frisco Roughriders (associated with the Texas Rangers) play the Corpus Christi Hooks (affiliated with the Houston Astros). Aside from getting into the City of Frisco and its loooooong traffic lights, parking around the ballpark is convenient and very close to Roughriders Ballpark. Watching a AA Baseball game is special because typically, the players here are at the beginning of their careers and no one typically has MLB experience so you are watching kids playing ball for the love the game and the outside chance of making it to "the big show" in the future. The vibe of this ball park is pure Baseball Purist Americana at its finest. First thing I noticed was the small town friendliness and sincerity of the ticket sales lady who walked me thru the ticket process without any stumbles or falls. Entering the ballpark was a friendly gentleman who scanned my tickets and almost immediately, I was awakened by the smells, sights and sounds of traditional baseball that brought me back to my earliest memories of baseball when I was a children living in Tacoma and attended a Tacoma Tides baseball game back in the 1970s when I was only 4-5 years old. I smelled popcorn, the grill cooking the Philly Cheesesteaks and the sounds of the pitches piercing the catcher's mitt as well as fun interactions between the fans and players and even umpires. I also enjoyed walking about the park and the the swimming pool in Centerfields was charming. Every staff at the field that I interacted with super hospitable to an outsider tourist such as myself. Had a wonderful time here and would come here over and over again if I were a local. Thanks to the Roughriders staff for a pleasant visit and experience that reminded me of why baseball is my favorite sport to watch.

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #54 This stadium is home to the Frisco RoughRider Minor League Baseball Team. Food is typical for any minor league/baseball stadium. Hotdogs, Burgers, Ice Cream, Beer, Soda, Mix Drinks, Candy, and Peanuts. This stadium sits about 10,000 people not including their lazy river and lawn seating. Be sure to check their website because they offer different themed nights throughout the week. For example, every Thursday is adult only night in the lazy river with discounted drink specials. There is currently a family of four special going on which includes four tickets, four hotdogs and drinks. Lastly, Every Friday night game has a firework show. If you're ever in the area and there is a game, I highly suggest checking out a game. It's a great time and be sure to stay hydrated.S

Nice stadium. First time at a Double A game/stadium. Parking was easy, right by the stadium. Gates open pretty much on time if not a few minutes early. The mascots were waiting there to greet everyone. Most Fridays they have fireworks - which you get to watch from the on the field! Saturday they had select half price beers before the 1st pitch - they always seem to have different deals and stuff going on. Plus they have the lazy river in the outfield as well. The stadium had good vibes and atmosphere, like the old skool look. Had a great time, ended up coming back the next day. Good place to see the TX Rangers come and do rehab.

I've been to games in Tulsa, Springfield, Kansas City , and San Antonio...ALL of which have far more entertainment and engaging activities, music during the games. I come for the fun activity and was highly let down here in Frisco. The characters have been sitting in seats 90% of the time, music very sporadically, announcements only second half. Plays are uneventful and not highlighted, celebrated half priced drinks more than a double play. No t-shirts being thrown, or small prizes. Seems like activities are bare minimum to complete sponsor obligation. Beautiful facility but doesn't make up for the vast lack of experience.

This is my first time back in about 7 years, but it's still a great and affordable activity for the summer. Located right by Ikea. Only downside you have to pay for parking but its $10 & drinks are pricey (but its expected at a sporting event)

Been going to their games since I can't remember, but the photos of my first RR cap and its original team logo might give you an idea of how far back if you are a fan of baseball trivia or this team. I've traditionally gotten a 10 ticket package for 10 game seat vouchers without the food option. Last few years I've been buying the "Holiday bundle" when the new people in the ticket sales department call going into December. Sadly they seem to all be replaced each year but the good thing is probably that it is because they are giving internships to sports related college majors but who knows. In any case it's a seasonal job and my ticket rep changes each year. Sadly so do the terms of the seat vouchers and their restrictions and after all these years I have been relegated to outfield seats. A point that seems to be lost in both the package promotion and the MiLB ticket system policy statements for the various classes of tickets and their promotions. My receipt shows that I bought the last 10pack on November 13th and it wasn't until I called end of February to get opening game day seats that I found out about being moved to the outfield. I asked for a refund to get my prepaid money back so that I can just buy seats directly area to my liking as I have sat in for years. Nothing happened and I had to call back again to get my one seat booked, in the outfield. I had planned on taking friends to opening day to promote MiLB games to people I know who are sports fans. But by then I realized that this was probably going to still be screwed up come gametime and I didn't want to expose my friend and his physically handicapped wife to standing outside at the box office window while holding up the line to get their next foray sorted out. Or worse, having to buy a full price day of game ticket so I can come in and wrangle with the back office of the ticket office at the window inside the ballpark where this garbage gets resolved. After I finally got nonexistent vouchers in the ticketing system reinstantiated into my account and got them to book my seat in the outfield section. I called on opening day to find out if the dismal rain forecast would involve a rain cancelation. Game is on despite heavy rain falling mid afternoon with more forecast for the evening. I ask if I can move a booked ticket for Tuesdays opening day to a dry Thursday and am told that they will need to call me back. In the interim I log onto MiLB ticket account and see my updated account status of no tickets, no vouchers, and no credit card on file. This after having gotten them to find my 10 seat package and install it to my account while booking an outfield seat for opening day a month prior. Alas I got no call back and now don't know how to plan or replan my evening for sitting in the wet and likely rain. Another call to the box office an hour later doesn't yield anything and for the second time this season I am ready to throw in the towel on this season's attendance. Good thing was in the 4th call my rep told me the manager of sales would call me tomorrow and work it out. Which was after the 3rd call where the rep who identified himself as Brooks wouldn't even grace my request for the name of the ticket sales manager. So I very much appreciated it when Danni called me to tell me I would be getting a call tomorrow from Alex, since we thrashed around with this the whole afternoon and it was now the end of the business day before the Opening Day game that evening. Long and short is that it took another hour and 15 minutes for the Group Sales Manager to cave in and give my fees back for the 10 ticket voucher pack because after hours of time on tne phone trying to resolve their failure to put ticket vouchers into my account and keep them there without them being deleted, I was done with MiLB games for the season before it even started. The team is great, I enjoy the stadium and the distraction of watching the games. Being jerked around, told BS, not listened too, and total miss from miscommunication for something they have been doing for a decade but keep changing the details of, we'll... with that I have issues. This is a new thing for the ticket sales people and they need to address some informed and training issues. It's a shame because the players and games are good. I dearly hope your experience is better, whatever type of seats you buy. If this is how it works for a long time fan, we'll, then it's going to be Ice Hockey for me this year sans baseball of MLB or MiLB.

After reading a few of the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. Had I known today was Education Day at the park, I would have picked a different game and time. Could tell the kids didn't give a damn about the game. All they wanted was out of school. Up and down and moving around until they all finally left at the top of the seventh inning. Oh well! In spite of the kids, I had a blast. Had never been here before. Yours truly is coming back again for sure. As I knew it would be, two bottles of water cost $10. Nothing I can about it. Made them last throughout the entire game. Twelve years and I'm finally catching a game. Don't wait as long as I have.

Great seats, and exciting game tonight. The Rough Riders do baseball right!

DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, STILL THE BEST FUN YOUR FAMILY CAN HAVE AND YOUR MONEY CAN BUY... Always impressed with how well the marketing and operations teams here execute against creating a fun and unique experience. Excellent every time! Texas Ranger fans, pass on that industrial sterile Globe Life stadium and be sure to get your family out to the Frisco Rough Riders this year for a true and traditional baseball experience.
