We had to stop and reset plays 8 different times today because balls from other courts kept landing in ours. The bathrooms smell terrible and are not clean. Terrible facility and terrible tourney planning. I would never sign my kid up for their program based on their tournament.

Club Volleyball isn't like recreational volleyball in the sense that there is more of an urgency to win; that being said, it's great preparation for the real world of sports, be it middle school, High School or College level. This league has some serious issues that need to be handled. They don't have a set of rules that…read moreare consistently followed. It is made up as they go along...in multiple age groups. This season seemed particularly bad because there was an instance where the league Vice-President (John Holifield) did not follow the rules to get an advantage over another LBSA team by letting a guest player pitch! In the 7/8 age group the Rangers (coaches) broke the rules every single game in hopes that the umpire wouldn't notice. Their coach's wife (Kristina Guerrero) is a commissioner for T-Ball and didn't see an issue with the way the Rangers played. These two incidents speak volumes about the way this league is ran. If two board members are ok with not following the rules what kind of precedent does that set for the league overall? There is very little league organization. There are tons of board members, but very few who actually do anything. The only part of this league that anyone cares about is select baseball. Everything is funneled into the select teams. The rec teams are thrown together last minute. The rec team equipment is worn out and needs to be updated. I believe the last time any new equipment was purchased was probably 5-6 years ago. As big as the city of Lewisville is there should be no less than 5-7+ in each age group. The small city of Corinth can manage that. LBSA is barely able to put together 3-4 teams (even during a non-covid year) in a division. It is time for Josh & Nikki Briscoe, Ashley Sauls and Stacy & Doug Gorsuch to move on (they all don't have kids who play in the league). They are ruining this league. Go read the way Nikki responds to people on the LBSA Facebook page. The board is a joke. There are no elections for the chair seats (Josh Briscoe has been the board President for over five years) and anyone can be a board member just by saying "hey, I want to be a board member." My hope is that the city steps in to run things and appoints board members that actually care about the league. There needs to be a full investigation into how the league is being ran and how the money is being handled.

We went to a RoughRiders game on Mavericks Night through the Get Out pass. There are free parking…read morenear the stadium and paid parking for $15 or so. I believe there are two entrances (uncertain if one entrance is for special guests only) and the line goes by quick (just make sure you pull up your tickets). We were immediately greeted by the Texas Legends mascot. The School of Rock The Colony were playing on the right of the main entrance. We walked around and visited 2-3 vendors handing out swag. There's a small playground on the left side for little ones with some seating areas for big ones. Across the way, there's an inflatables Kid Zone (about four bounce houses, one soccer, and one basketball) for $5 each kid. We went at the beginning of September when it was still 90 degrees at 7 pm. Fortunately, we were under the shade so it didn't feel so bad. Throughout the game, there were deals for special plays. For instance (making this up since I can't remember exactly), Jet's Pizza offered free corner pizzas since the RoughRiders hit a double. One of the concession stands offered $3 off an alcoholic drink because of a particular play. That was nice! A gentleman went around selling raffle tickets called 50/50. I don't know how often they draw the tickets, but you purchase a certain amount of tickets (the more you purchase, the better the discount) and it goes into a prize pool. They wait a few games and draw a winner. The winner will keep 50% of the pool. For our raffle, the winner won over $3,000. Check out their site as you can book group outings (sit in a wagon or the terrace), first pitch, and lazy river. They have special nights and will have fireworks on certain nights (cancelled when we went due to the burn bạn). The biggest downside about the stadium, though it's expected, is the cost of concessions. A bottle of water goes for $6 or so. Eat and drink before you go so you don't have to spend so much money at the game. The coolest thing about the game is that we sat in section 121 and at the end of every inning, a player would toss a ball in our direction. Book section 121 and bring your baseball mitt.

Dont get me wrong I have no issue with them wanted to be in their birthday suit i played sports in high school but at least sit on your towel dont drag ur sweaty bean bag and your nasty crack all over the benches where someone else is gonna sit. Some of the staff have been notified and put up signs then 2 days later the signs are taken down‍. Do a better job LA Fitness i know your not elite anymore but take some pride. People still come here because they remember what you once were. Don't even get me started on the lockers who's bright idea and penny pinching idea was putting compressed wood lockers might as well have made them from card board for all they lasted its an embarrassment. Even Planet Fitness which i hate has better lockers!
