We have had nothing but a positive experience with the absolute best coaches. I would recommend WOGA to anyone whether it be for a rec class or team. Coach Mary is the best, and knows all of the kids that come in the building! :)

As a minority mother of a neurodivergent child with ADHD, I left absolutely heartbroken by how my 7-year-old daughter was treated. Throughout the class, Coach Ashley repeatedly yelled at, corrected, and singled her out in a way that felt drastically different from the treatment of the other children. The final straw was when my daughter was denied a turn on the trampoline while the other children participated. She left class in tears. When I attempted to speak with Coach Ashley afterward, she refused to engage and walked past me. When I brought my concerns to management, I was interrupted before I could finish explaining what happened. There was no apology, no concern for a crying child, and no accountability. The only response was, "I'll change her class." What made this even more upsetting is that this was not the first concerning interaction I have witnessed at WOGA Plano. I have personally observed management speaking harshly and publicly reprimanding other minority children in a way that made me uncomfortable. I cannot tell anyone what was in Coach Ashley's heart, but I can tell you how it felt to watch my daughter be singled out, excluded, humiliated, and reduced to tears while other children were not. As her mother, the experience felt racist, discriminatory, and cruel. WOGA Plano may have a strong reputation, but no reputation excuses making a little girl feel unwanted and unwelcome. I do not recommend WOGA Plano, especially for minority families or families with neurodivergent children. My daughter deserved patience, kindness, and encouragement. Instead, she left asking why her coach was so mean to her.

What started as a positive experience turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing…read moreexperiences we've ever had with a youth sports program. My children genuinely enjoyed attending classes here, and we initially believed we had found a gym that cared about its athletes and families. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism proved otherwise. Shortly after joining, my daughter was repeatedly told by her coach that she was on the competition team, would be competing soon, and should expect to start preparing. As a parent, I immediately began asking for information regarding costs, schedules, commitments, and expectations. For TWO MONTHS, I sent emails, made phone calls, and followed up repeatedly. Every single time, I was brushed off with vague responses like, "We'll get that information to you soon." Meanwhile, my daughter's coach continued building excitement and reinforcing the idea that she was already on the team. No one seemed concerned about the fact that a child was being led to believe something that had not even been finalized. To make matters worse, my children travel out of state regularly to see their father, making advance scheduling absolutely critical. ASI was aware of this. They knew we needed information to coordinate custody schedules, family obligations, and finances. Yet they still failed to provide even the most basic details. After months of chasing answers, I finally learned that team selections hadn't even been finalized despite my daughter being told repeatedly that she was already on the team. When I expressed my frustration and requested that someone speak with my daughter and apologize for getting her hopes up, there was zero accountability. No ownership. No acknowledgment that they had handled the situation poorly. Eventually, I was given cost information--an additional $100 per month, hundreds of dollars in uniforms, competition expenses, and other commitments. The cost itself was never the issue. Competitive sports are expensive. The issue was being strung along for months while my daughter's expectations were built up based on information that should never have been communicated to her in the first place. I was promised a follow-up email with all competition details so I could discuss everything with my children's father and my fiancé. That email never came. Three weeks later, I was still waiting. What is most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been avoided with basic communication and accountability. Instead, I was left constantly chasing answers, forced into the position of disappointing my daughter, and treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. My son has autism and absolutely loved attending classes here, which makes this decision even more heartbreaking. However, the way this situation was handled made it impossible for us to continue supporting this gym. If you're looking for a program that communicates with families, keeps parents informed, and takes responsibility when mistakes are made, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The emotional impact on my daughter and the frustration this caused our family were completely unnecessary. We left not because of costs, schedules, or competition requirements. We left because of the incompetence, lack of communication, and complete refusal to take accountability. I would not recommend this gym to any parent.

I booked Golden Grip Gymnastics about six weeks before my son's 3rd birthday. They were so much cheaper than everywhere else in the area, but my husband and I checked out the gym when we put down the deposit so I felt confident that the kids would at least have fun if nothing else! I had planned to bring my own cake and have pizza delivered, and although GGG provides tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc., I brought my own because I wanted everything to follow the theme of the party. We had the whole huge gym to ourselves. The gymnastics area was a BLAST for the kids (especially the foam pit), and then Corbyn led a group dancing game and we took photos of all the kids together (a great idea and something I never would have thought of to do!). The GGG team took care of setting up, handling the kids, handing out pizza and cake, and cleaning up. Corbyn set everything up on the tables, but was totally cool with me rearranging some things in order to make room for the pizza.  My review is not doing justice to the amount of hard work the GGG team put in and how much fun the kids had. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Golden Grip as a birthday party venue. Such a great experience, and depending on my son's interests next year, we'll probably plan to be back!

Run by a former Olympian, she taught her the basics and seemed to break it all down in a way my niece would understand. I had the privilege to observe a couple of classes in a great holding area for the parents and visitors. As I understand it they also train the older kids who are Olympic hopefuls and have garnered some major awards in the various competitions across the state. As I understand it, gymnastics is HUGE in Texas so it makes perfect sense a place like this exists!

If you don't believe me, let the look of trust, confidence and happiness in these pictures speak for themselves. The owners and coaches are fantastic--not only are they highly skilled and knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about each athlete. They take the time to get to know the kids, build their confidence, and ensure they are always safe while pushing them to achieve their best. The coaches emphasize proper technique and safety, which gives parents peace of mind. They have a way of making even the toughest workouts fun and engaging, so the kids are always excited to come back. Team members are expected to be at practice; but there are reasonable exceptions to allow for a life outside the gym. We've seen incredible progress in our girl's skills and confidence since joining Texas Dynamix. It's more than just a gym--it's a supportive family that celebrates every success, big or small. Like all families, none are perfect or without a few bumps along the way. But when things happen, the owners are open to feedback and making adjustments if possible. If you're looking for a place where your child can thrive both athletically and personally, look no further than Texas Dynamix.
