I told the gentleman behind the counter it was my first time visiting. He was very friendly and asked me what I was looking for; a slice, or something else. I told him I wanted a slice and made my selections, which were to go. The slices are large, and the toppings plentiful. I ordered a pepperoni pizza wheel, a slice of everything and I think pepperoni and sausage. They were heated quickly and boxed to go. I also got a slice of plain cheesecake. It was great. When I got home, the pizza wheel was still piping hot, as it was wrapped in foil. The slices were very warm. I was disappointed because I did not taste garlic, oregano, salt, basil or much flavor aside from the actual toppings. Is that traditional in a New York pizza? The cheese was chewy, which was great, and the crust was crispy. I will go back again, because they service was great, and I want to try the pastas. I don't think I'll try the pizza again though. The price was very competitive.

It's really hard to mess up two New York style crust pepperoni pizza except when they DO mess it up, which is about a third of the time. I'm starting to believe that the people in their kitchen either can't read or refuse to read their order printouts, which are perfectly clear and in my experience perfectly legible. If you love pizza, as we do in my family, CRUST MATTERS. Hand tossed and New York style from Zio Al's is NOT interchangeable. Their New York style pizza and crust style are PERFECT. "What's a little extra crust with the hand tossed?" you ask. "No big deal on the mixup, really," you might say. But IT IS! When you literally order the same thing more than twice a month and they screw it up a third of the time, that is a problem. It isn't complicated. READ the order printout.
