Staff was friendly, made sure the young skaters were safe, and were organized. They also have the helpful walker things for new skaters to help balance. They have a snack bar, but we didn't try anything. It's a cool vibe and will have to try it again at night.

We booked again this year and what I was not expecting is for the owners to be completely awful hosts from the minute we walked in until the minute we left. I booked this party at least two months ago, and didn't receive any kind of follow up call to confirm details or anything. We rented out the rink for this party, and I thought I remembered that we had 30 minutes to set up for the party, so we arrived 30 minutes early. The male owner immediately wanted to know what we were doing there. I told him and he got very upset that we had come early. I tried to explain that I was sorry for the mistake. He told me we could sit at the tables for 15 minutes until it was time to set up. It was my mistake that we arrived early, so we did as he said; however, it was an honest mistake and he treated us like we were trying to scam him out of 15 minutes, which was not the case. He was extremely rude throughout the party. At one point he interrupted a conversation I was having with a guest and shoved a wrapped stick of gum in my face. He said, "gum and skates don't mix." I replied that no they don't. He said, "well I just found this on the floor." It was not my gum and I wasn't sure what he needed me to do about it. He threw it away and walked off. The owners had a dog there who kept barking during our party which was distracting. The bathrooms had also not been cleaned. The female owner stopped our music 30 minutes early and hijacked the rest of our party. Our party was supposed to be over at 3:00 and she played, "So Long, Farewell," at 2:45 and told our party that was the last song. It was a very depressing way to end the skate and my daughter was confused why we didn't get to use her playlist they told us we could use the whole time. At 2:50 they stopped all the music and told kids to get off the floor, 10 minutes before our party was supposed to be over. We were supposed to have 15 minutes after the party to clean up, but based on the demeanor of the owners making us feel unwelcome at our own party, we had started cleaning up at 2:30. We let my son continue to skate while we cleaned up, knowing that we had paid to have the rink until 3:00. At 2:58, the male owner threatened to charge us more if our son didn't get off the rink. We were flustered and felt so rushed even though we had paid for the time. At 3:10 we had just about everyone from the party out except for a few people who were chatting. I was waiting by the door trying to get all of our guests to leave quickly, and the male owner opened up the door and told us we had to go. I said I know I'm trying to get everyone out. He said they had another event to get ready for. I didn't want to exit before my guests, so I finally got everyone out of the building at 3:11. It was so stressful, and whether they had another event or not, I was also a paying customer and did not deserve to be treated so poorly. My daughter only gets one 10th birthday, and I worked very hard to be able to pay for her to have a nice party. I left trying to hide tears from my daughter and shield her from all the unnecessary behind the scenes stress. I have seen other reviews from paying customers who also had trouble with the male owner in particular and his lack of customer service, or even basic human kindness. I've also read how defensive the owners get in response to negative reviews. I rarely leave negative reviews, and in fact prefer to leave positive reviews for small businesses especially. But this party was absolutely miserable. They likely won't care, but RollerWorld lost some loyal customers yesterday.

Time has gone on, you and everything else around you has grown and matured, but Westlake is still the same. Some skate purists will appreciate that, while most others would not. I really enjoy coming here, but I can see why most people would stay away from this place. 1) the place is in dire need of a deep clean and renovation. The carpeted walls and seats feel so dirty, the lockers look nasty, and the overall esthetics gives off that "cooties" vibe; 2) A lot of the rental skates are old. If you plan on coming on a Friday or Saturday night, get there early or you might get stuck with the older slates that aren't too great. 3) You aren't going to be treated like you're at the Ritz. Sometimes the workers are nice, but that can easily change once it gets busy or if you become that annoying customer. 4) Like at most skating rinks, there are unsupervised kids falling every where, skating the wrong way, and simply getting in the way. 5) Masks are not enforced and most staff do not wear them. With that all being, I love going to this rink. It has its flaws, but 1) there's a great community of regulars who come and/or work there. 2) It's a family friendly environment (though, song choices are questionable). There are usually fun games for the kids that do not take up too much time. 3) The music is pretty diverse, though it pays homage to the weird skate/techno genre (most people like it, I don't). 4) The culture amongst the regulars is pretty welcoming and inclusive. People are more than willing to help or share different skating tips. I would recommend this rink to novice/intermediate skaters who do not mind kids just want a low-key place to skate. For those of you who skate once in a blue moon and do not own a pair of skates, I'd maybe consider somewhere else.

We have been here multiple times to let the kids get loose and enjoy roller skating. There is a parking lot provided, but it can and will fill up fast depending on the time and day you go on. The tickets to enter are fair and reasonably priced and can be purchased at the front door. The skate rental is an additional charge if you do not have any skates. They have discounts on certain days of the week, and I would highly suggest checking on the website for the most up to date information. They have tables and chairs for kids' birthday parties that are very common on the weekdays during the daytime. There is also a snack bar where you can purchase food and drinks. They have typical snacks such as pizza, nachos, and pickles. There are also a couple of vending machines inside that have cold drinks and snacks as well. The rink is large and is perfect for large groups to attend and have fun. They have age group races to participate in and also play appropriate music for all ages. They even offer skating lessons for a fair price as well as figure skating classes if you're a bit more serious in skating. Overall, Forum Roller World is a great place to go to and have an awesome time. The kids' birthday parties always turn out well and are reasonably priced and won't break the bank.

The customer service at the front was good, and the food service was good. But being that I was celebrating my birthday and paid almost $200.00. I asked for a few songs (Montell Jordan, come on ride that train, and roll bounce) and was turned down more than once and had a few of my guests request songs and both the dudes/dj's refused to play and asked me if Young Buck was okay to play. (all were kid friendly songs) My party was 7:30pm to 9:30pm. I guess because I was an adult, I got a shout out at 9:15 then finally got one of my requested songs. I didn't feel the need to rent out the whole skating rink for 7 to 10 guests. From my understanding, when you skate slower you on the inside and fast on the outside. The dj and his friends was flying in and out everybody like they owned the skating rink for the night. Upon booking I was someone would have told me that this wasn't a good night to book instead of just collecting. I have a free pass but I'm good I don't want to go back. I could have said something while I was there but I didnt want to get upset in front of my child. My party was a kid friendly event, so I wanted to accommodate the kids that were coming as well. Never again.
