Large open spaces, basketball court, restrooms, pavilions for rent, cool playgrounds, a spray-ground, paved parking lots, and it connects to the Bear Creek trail system making it great for hiking. Most recently we've rented pavilion for children's birthday parties. Easy process. Electric available. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy time outdoors - no matter what your age is.

Speaking of bathrooms, and I know park bathrooms can be scary, these ones really are pretty clean! Parr Park is big and clean and lush and green. It's connected to the Bear Creek trails, so there really is a lot of nature to explore. There are almost always people around so it's never too quiet, but it's still big and forest-y enough that you could feel a little bit lost in the wild, if you wanted to (I do).

This park is so beautiful, we love walking to the pier and watching the tadpoles and fish swimming around. There's a long walking trail which we didn't get to walk all the way down today but we will have to make time for it. You can't go wrong no matter who he path you take, you will find picturesque scenes everywhere. In fact, there was a photo shoot taking place today while we were there. Relaxing pre-lunch outing, I'm sure we will be back again.

This is a beautiful park, in many ways far superior to the more popular Bob Eden park. The trails…read morefrom McCormick Park connect to those at Bob Eden (and Bear Creek) but this stretch of the trail is shadier and much more lush in foliage. It's a perfect walk for a hot summer morning. The park also boasts a pond with fishing pier and a very sweet little bird watching area, a nice gazebo, and a small (but fun) playground. The playground is FULLY SHADED by the mature trees surrounding it. The only negatives to McCormick park, so far as I can tell, are the absence of both a bathroom and clear trail maps. There is one map that gives an overview of how the main trail connects to the different parks, but I think there ought to be a more detailed trail map at every fork in the trail. And not having bathrooms is a serious drawback for people with kids. I pushed my luck too long this morning and my 2 year old peed her pants. Parks need bathrooms!

There is also an unpaved area of the trail the goes along the north side of the creek that is quite beautiful. The play structures are pretty pathetic. Definitely for the 2 and under crowd. There is one near the parking lot and one at the end of the Trailwood park trail. Both are underwhelming. There are outhouses by the parking lot and a bare-bones, one-stall bathroom near the tennis courts. I am thankful for all parks with trails - what a great way to get out and get exercise - but I think there are better trails in the area.

Trying to watch my granddaughter play but I would have to walk too far away to get shade so that's going to stop me from coming on warm days. There are a few walkers out here. So it's a good place to walk for your health. I'm thinking my daughter will bring the grandkids out here. But I'll only come if it's fairly cool outside.

Terrible gym. Incompetent and rude staff. First time I've been kicked off a machine in 30 years of…read moreworking out in gyms across the world...literally while in the middle of my set by an employee unracking my weights and telling me to get off cause they are moving the exact machine I was currently using,.. I only had two sets left, mind you, and my sweater was on machine, I was getting ready to sit in it and use it, and the employee starts unracking my weights. I said "excuse me, I am using this and he said well we are moving it"! Never ever would this happen at 24 hour fitness or any other commercial big or small private gym. They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL. But that is not the worst of it.. after the manager talks to me, the rude employee that kicked me off my machine (older man) comes over to where I am and rolls his eyes and tells me "get over it"!!! I've never been spoken to so poorly by a grown man. Shame on him for speaking to a lady that way. Zero respect, zero common sense, zero gym etiquette or know how. These people are running a joke of an establishment and their employees know nothing about serious training or why people actually go to the gym and yet they work at a gym. Canceled my family's membership and never going back to this dump.

We love that there are two play fixtures, one little and one big which is good for our two kiddos (ages 3 and 1). There is a great big bike path and gardening area right next to it that also belongs to the church, which church and community members are often at. This always makes me feel safe and comfortable, because its never quiet! The play area is also fenced in, so kiddos can't escape when you've turned your head. (Other play areas need to take a hint!) The only problem is that the wood chips need replacing, so the slides drop off pretty darn far to the ground. Other than that, we can't complain!
