I can't even tell you the last time I was at a skating rink and had forgotten how much fun it can be. For just $15, you can get a good workout going round and round on roller skates. The rink was pretty big and there is a seating area in the middle if you need a break or need to relace your skates. The line at the rental booth can be long, but there are periods where you can walk right up. There are also seats all along the wall for spectators and skaters alike. I would love to give InterSkate Roller Rink 5 stars. The facility is clean and well maintained, the staff at the front desk and snack bar are polite, but they need to do more to ensure the safety of skaters. My family goes to InterSkate once or twice a week. My wife and daughter have been taking skating lessons, and recently advanced to level 2 of their program. My only complaint is that the staff that is on the rink doesn't do enough to ensure safety of everyone skating. There are a lot of kids using the skate trainers. The staff doesn't do much to ensure that they are being supervised by an adult, or skate safely while using them. The kids skate the wrong direction, run into other skaters, and have taken some pretty nasty spills. One kid ran into my wife, causing a whole group of people to crash to the floor. No one bothered to check on the situation and tell the kid he had to skate counterclockwise like everyone else. The more advanced skaters can be even more dangerous. They either skate way to fast, weaving in between skaters, often startling them, or skating in large groups dancing and recording TikTok videos. The staff, actually seems to encourage this! I just wonder per my first time visit on Tuesday 11/18/25 special for $6.00-- why many skate at this rink that is beyond expensive and seems desperate for money!!!!?? The restrooms right in FRONT of eating area, high price snacks, no surrounding hold wall bar (just in case needed to avoid a fall), locker prices expensive, no hold shelves/boxes, etc... Not returning but look forward to the rinks at TEXAS SKATIUM which seems to be the best of all rinks in Texas!!!! read more

This wasn't our first time here, but this visit was for a birthday party on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy with kiddos up to adults!! My kiddos enjoyed themselves and are still learning and getting comfortable with skating. Make sure you sign your waiver ahead of time as that will save you time when you get there. You'll pay at the window and also pay for the trainers up front as well. They give you a wristband to pick up skates & trainer in the back. There's a separate section for smaller kiddos, which is great. The party room is a good size but was kinda hot so I didn't go in there. I've also never had anything from the concession. I just had the most bizarre experience with someone who said her name is Melissa. My daughter had her birthday party on December 7 of this year, and everything went pretty well. We had no complaints or issues. The package I purchased (Gold) was supposed to include goodie bags for each of the kids. This was a big relief for me, as I usually make my own goodie bags, which is both pricey and time-consuming. The party ended, and the following morning, I realized that we never received the goodie bags. I was disappointed, as the fee I paid included them, and I needed this to be resolved. I called the next day (12/8) and spoke to a young man who was polite but informed me that the person I needed to talk to wouldn't be in until Monday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. I said that was fine and that I would call back. I ended up getting busy with work and called a couple of days later (12/12) during the time I was told to call. However, the person on the phone told me again that the person I needed to speak with was not in. This time, they wrote down my information so someone could call me back. I called again the following day to see if I could reach the person who was supposed to help, and I spoke to a nice lady who claimed to be the person this review is about. She also said she would write down my information. Today (12/16), after not hearing anything back, I decided to write an email in case the person I needed to speak to wasn't getting the messages that I had called. I sent a polite email, as I had no bad interactions with the skating rink up to this point, and explained that we never received the goodie bags. I requested reimbursement for that portion of the payment. I received an email back within an hour saying that I had only called once, according to their notes, and that they could mail me the goodie bags. This felt unreasonable, considering the party was already over. I'm not going door-to-door to deliver goodie bags, especially since some guests were from out of town. Instead of responding to the email, I decided to call and clarify the situation. When I called, a lady who said her name was Melissa answered the phone. Before I could say a word, she told me I had called multiple times and accused me of making it seem in my email like no one was answering the phone (which wasn't true). She also said the person I needed to speak to had just left. I tried to clarify that I never claimed no one answered my calls, but Melissa would not let me get a word in. She repeatedly told me someone would call me tomorrow. When she finally paused, I tried to ask a question, but she abruptly told me she had an important call to take and hung up on me. This interaction was shocking, as I had no prior issues with the staff. I explained the situation to my mom, who had helped me plan the party, and she decided to call to see if she could get any answers. When she called and mentioned the party, Melissa immediately became argumentative. Melissa kept repeating that someone would call us the next day and that she couldn't do anything about it. My mom asked if we had done something wrong, and Melissa said no but then went on another rant about how we'd get a call tomorrow. She then hung up on my mom, too. At this point, we were both shocked and couldn't understand where this energy was coming from. My mom tried calling back, but every time she called, someone would pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I never write reviews, but this experience has been insane. This wasn't even a major issue--just a simple request for partial reimbursement for something we didn't receive. The way we've been treated is absolutely ridiculous. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. The service I received for my FIRST visit here was horrible and needles to say it will definitely be my LAST. Mondays are my off days, so on this day I like to go skating. My daughters and I found this spot on google and decided to give it a try. COST- it was about $60ish for 4 people + skate rentals EXPERIENCE- I came here with my two teen daughters and our little cousin (age 2) when asked who all would be skating, I advised myself, 2 daughters and the toddler we had with us. At this time I did not see anything about the Skater aid being an additional charge for kids BUT being that your worker knew I was including a child upon entry I should have been made aware. This is actually the first skating rink that I have ever been to where there is an additional charge for the skaters aid. We go to the back and wait on our skates. About 5 minutes after putting on our skates I recognize where the skater aids are. So I go back to the same place where we got our rental skates from and stood there just waiting I know a good 12 minutes and no one ever came to ask If I needed help or why I was over there waiting. I was WAITING there so someone could give me the skaters aid for the toddle with me. But no one ever came! There was a group of people working on the skaters aids (the little bar that assists toddles while skating) across the floor. So after waiting over ten minutes on assistance. No one ever came, so I decided to get the skaters aid myself. The moment I get one I hear a very loud voice screaming across the skating floor "put that back up there. Put that back" AS IF, I was trying to sneak and get it or something. Where was all that acknowledgement when I was standing there waiting without any assistance????????? He seen me standing there that long time waiting on help. But not once did he come over and ask why I was standing there or try to offer assistance. And to make matters WORSE. He yelled across the floor again " THOSE ARE FOR KIDS" like I didn't already know this! It takes nothing to use a little common sense! I wasn't standing there for nothing!!!! How embarrassing! I later found out AFTER asking someone else how did they obtain it and was told it had to be paid for at the front. Well well wouldn't you think since the person at the front took payment knowing there was a child that he would let me know that there was an additional charge for it. In addition to this! They didn't even have the skate size for my little cousin. The smallest skate size turned out to be 4 sizes larger than his size. He knew the skates was too big and didn't even offer a refund for the skate rental that could not be used. I wouldn't come back here if it was the last skating rink in Dallas. These people are rude and lack customer service. He completely ruined my first and last visit here. In addition to all of the above. While I was skating my daughter tells me a man comes and says to her " that baby can't be on the floor with you" but I saw another race of people with their toddler on the floor. Was it a racial thing...who knows. Why was I singled out! One thing I do know is I would never come back here. This place sucks!!!!! Best indoor activity in DFW! Great exercise, super fun music and friendly staff! Interskate is ultra clean and nice inside with new carpet, cool disco ball and lights show on ceiling and a great plentiful snack bar. Love the dippin dots ice cream and thick hot pretzels! They have discounts and it's family friendly. You can rent inline skates or traditional or bring your own. They also have handy trainers for rent $5 which really help build confidence if you haven't put on skates in a while or you have a cautious little one in tow. We had a great time here! I skimmed the spotty reviews out of curiosity and feel the need to address a running theme on some of them. If a business has rules, you can follow them or you can do business elsewhere. Lots of places kept mask mandates within their business even after mandates went away. This is NOT a reason to trash a business, as it's their rule. Period. if you don't like their rules, don't go there. Pretty simple, and I feel like reviews like this should be removed since you're complaining that you're not allowed to break the rules. Anyway... The rink was in good shape - nice and smooth - and I appreciated that they had a little kiddie / warm-up area for less experienced skaters. My son got his sea legs in this area before heading out to the ocean that is the main rink. Great set-up that I don't remember being at the roller rinks I used as a kid. Only complaint - and it's a notable one, IMHO - is they need to switch skating direction more often. We were there for hours and they only switched it once - BRIEFLY - because I asked if they could. We went the other way for a few minutes and then then reversed it again and stayed on the counter-clockwise rotation for the rest of our time there. Weird. Don't y'all know one leg gets tired if you skate in the same direction the entire time?? So weird and annoying. Annoyance and weird policy aside, nostalgia wins and we still had a great time. I went skating here a couple weeks ago - my first time skating in over 15 years. It was ok. It was adult skate night, so that was a vibe, but the music was a little too raunchy for me. Maybe I'm just old. I didn't like that the concession stand was not open and the vending machine for drinks was not working. They also did not honor the $1 off entry deal for checking in via Yelp. I was very grateful for the side practice rink, though. That's where I spent my time and it helped me get back in the groove of things. I would rather have my head stapled to the carpet near the snack bar than pay to skate around listening to boring , sad goth techno sludge . It's the worst music I've ever heard. I am from Louisiana and trying to keep skating alive! I bring my own Harlick Roller Skates made in California. For the past 10+ years my husband and I have made a goal to skate in each state at least one time. I was on a work road trip and just settled into my hotel for the night. When I soon realized there is a skate rink open nearby. I love to skate on adult nights. The floor was wood which I prefer. Also, there are two rinks here. One in the back is a smaller learning area. Though apparently they don't require masks now because more people are getting vaccinated. Anyway, I got off in a tangent. Took my daughter here for her first time skating. The interior is just like what you expect from the 80s. Brought back some good memories from when I skated during my younger years. I wish I could give a negative 10 review, but it won't allow. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever spoke in my life. Please do not do business with them. My granddaughter had a birthday party at the rink with a little over 25 kids. The person assisting us said they ran out of candles for the cake we brought in, we had to request a knife to cut the cake and he did not give us party bags for each child as we were leaving. We did not realize the party bags were not given out until we got home. My daughter called the following business day and was told that the person she needs to talk to was not in, and would call her back. After a few days, and not receiving a call back, my daughter called 2 more times, leaving messages. She then sent a detailed email to the rink regarding not receiving the party bags and received a defensive email reply stating that their records revealed she only called once, which was irrelevant. Melissa, from the rink, finally called her back and was very rude and dismissive regarding the party bags. My daughter requested a refund for the party bags and Melissa said she would mail them to her. What are we going to do with party bags 1 week after a party!!! Melissa hung up on my daughter while she was still talking. I called the rink right back to get resolution and also talked to Melissa, who was very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I respectfully asked her if she was alright and she said something sarcastic to the person in the background, then hung up on me while I was talking. I called back and a person named DQ answered. I asked for the owner or manager of the rink. He was quiet and when I said hello, he hung up on me. Again, this is the most UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever spoke in my life. When you go here, they immediately have you sign a liability form. I thought that was rather odd but now I know why when I was there there was a little kid on a Saturday night on the floor skating against me and I was skating pretty fast but he turned and went the opposite way and there's no accountability on his side. He ran right into me and I tried to miss him, but I couldn't and I had it straight for the carpeted concrete and the benches and the lockers and I knew I was gonna fall and I knew I was gonna fall bad lucky for me. My adult children were there and came to my aid, but the kid that ran into me and or his parents never came up to me not even one person at the establishment came up to me. No one even checked if I was OK and let me tell you what I was not. OK. I slammed my head against the concrete twice, and it took my joy of skating away from me. I am sad that there are places like this that allow this kind of stuff without even flinching worse than that the audacity of the parents never even coming up to me to Check or the kid apologizing to me For skating backwards. They need to have better rules or less people allowed in at a certain time it was just crazy if you don't know how to skate good I would not recommend this place because I'm a very good skater and I tried everything I could to get away from him and it was still hard And the way that it felt when I landed was horrible. I couldn't even cry it hurt that bad needless to say we left early. We were barely there for an hour. I will never go here again. read more

Our kiddo wanted their birthday party here, as we have been several times as a family and with friends and enjoyed ourselves. If i could give zero stars I would. We had an employee tell us she was there to help with anything we would need with our birthday party. She then disappeared. For almost an hour and a half. She did not supply forks nor napkins. When i asked, she proceeded to laugh! So we've got younger kids with cake infront of them, that they cannot eat. My husband ended up taking them from the snack bar area. There was essentially no help from our "party assistant". We had a guest ask if the employee was high (HOW EMBARASSING...) She did not help transfer tables nor clean up. We missed out on the enjoyment and involvement because we were constantly running around. HOWEVER, after speaking with management it was evident wheres she got her training! They could care less what we had to say. The male manager would not let me explain the issues about our experience and proceeded to tell me that we were inconveniencing them, as they needed to move another party in and wanted their money. This is no way to run a business... DO BETTER. Listen to your guests. Help your guests. Treat the people you are making your money from with some respect. This place was fun with the vibe and the training skating rink. HOWEVER the main rink has a HUGE crack circling the edge of the rink and the carpet step. My rollerblade got caught in the crack and I broke my ankle in 3 different places!!! The waiver waived any responsibility on the company for any negligence to the property or injury because of that. Do not attend. If you get hurt, the company will not compensate you legally. Although, the staff at the rink did help with my injury in support, I do appreciate that. Came here last night for a private party. I haven't been roller skating since I was probably 13! Setting aside the obvious physical rustiness & associated perils (I only fell once though!), I was immediately transported back to my 13 year old self (I wasn't a pro skater back then either!). The decor looks just like the rink I went to 20+ years ago. The DJ was pretty good and the staff was friendly enough. I didn't check out the bathrooms or concession stand so I can't weigh in there. They DO have lockers for $1 each (bills or credit cards only) or they have open cubbies. I didn't see an arcade. I thought this was fun but my sore body isn't so sure about coming back...oh - one more thing - the waiver! They absolve themselves of EVERYTHING. The staff could pretty much walk onto the rink & kick you in the knee and they wouldn't be liable so just be aware of that going in. read more

Booked a party here for my daughter, and less than a week later, she fell and broke her wrist. They would not refund the party, and also would not allow me to reschedule unless I did so in 30 days, by which time she still wouldn't be able to skate. They told me they had too much demand to let me "take up a spot". (That doesn't even make sense.) I was cancelling with almost 3 weeks notice. Really unreasonable. I would understand if I had changed my mind, but I offered to bring a doctor's note and they did not care at all. I was a regular at this place. I used to go every adult night, but after this, sadly I can't say I will be returning. I paid $10 for my entry just as usual, but this time I noticed I had been charged more than once for a single entry. After I brought it to their attention, they accused me of paying for other people's entry, but when I told them I had entered independently, they told me they'd call me back. Following this, they asked me to send them proof of the posted charges, and when I did, they still refused to send me my money back. They told me they could grant me "free entrance" on my next visit, but I refused because all that meant was that I paid early for my next visit, when they're the one who made a mistake on their end. Following this, they told me that they didn't have a single transaction from me and left it at that. I had to end up disputing the charge through my bank instead. If you do choose to go here, make sure to ask for your receipt... they will take your money and not think twice about it... otherwise the floor is nice, the music is... ok, and the community (at least on adult nights) are pretty rad! read more

Maybe they were young but it wasn't a vibe at all and the music is almost what makes the night when you're skating second to experience. There's no patrolling of dangerous skaters. Kids are going in wrong directions. Kids spinning erratically pushing trainers. Great atmosphere- friendly owners! They play a variety of music for everyone. The crowd on adult skate night was from 18 to 60 year olds. Concessions are available for snacks and drinks.
