Incredibly disappointed. when Sting Soccer Club merged with the club our child was already playing for, we decided to keep her in and embrace the change. we were in constant communication with coaches, local directors etc (Lincoln NE) and nobody bothered getting back to us about team formations. We literally asked at every practice and had several follow up emails that ended with "someone will get back to you" with no response.(this was for recreation/less competitive teams btw so it isn't like my kid missed a tryout or anything) I get things get messy with a merge but my last email wasn't even acknowledged. If that is how Sting operates, we have no choice but to find a different place for our kid to play. read more

This club is disappointing and disgusting. My 9yr old son played on a team in Nebraska. He was harassed and bullied by other players on the team for the time he was there to the point where he doesn't want to play soccer again. The coaches played dumb and said they knew nothing about it. That's a problem. I emailed corporate my concerns and a guy named Stuart reached out to me for the "internal investigation". To sum it all up Stuart already had his mind made up of what the outcome was going to be. I asked if I would know the outcome and he said no. We will be taking further action to make sure this does not happen again to another innocent child. read more

Sting has been an outstanding experience for my daughter. The coaches have cared for her development well and taught her many valuable lessons about being on a team. The club is big enough to ensure a competitive landscape for all players. Communication is consistent and proactive. I highly recommend! read more

We had a great experience with Sting Soccer - North Texas. My son is a 2004 goalkeeper who grew tremendously with the organization. Our coach was one of the most personable coaches we've ever had and dedicated to the boys' development. The leadership at the organization was awesome as well. The club dues were also far less than some of the other clubs in our area. All in all, a five-star experience. read more

Sting Soccer club is awesome. They provide so many opportunities for our girls, and now have combined the boys side(formerly Titans). Part of being on the team is having to do 10 hours of community service, which is awesome, more bonding for girls and teaches them about volunteering and better our community. The college showases & ID camps are very nice as over 80% of girls get some sort of scholarship for school. Wonderful families, players and coaches. Definitely some bad apples but they usually get sussed out quickly. Our girls love this club. read more

Since we moved back to Texas in 2016 we have been a part of the Sting Family. We had sought our a few different clubs but decided to go with Sting in most part to the technical development she was experiencing. She has grown and learn so much in the last couple years that has not only benefited her in on the soccer field but on the basketball court and in life. Our very athletic, successful and typically happy daughter recently went through a bullying situation with the Sting soccer team. It was shocking how girls turned on her and the coach didn't have her back or handle the situation professionally. I tried contacting a handful of the parents, they didn't take it seriously and she was soon after treated worse. Being bullied by one or two kids is tough, but a group of several who no longer are interacting with you, speaking to you and/or whispering about you is devastating for a 9 year old. Sadly, she stopped eating hardly anything for a few weeks, stayed mostly in her room and no longer wanted to attend practices, or attend and play at games. Yes, it is true that she was being ignored, whispered about, mocked, avoided, and no longer treated like a friend or a team member by the majority, I saw it with my own eyes and she eventually decided to quit. Of course, even though bullying was called out by her coach to us and he said he knew who it was and had witnessed it with our daughter and others, the select soccer team won't let us out of the contract and will now turn us into a collection agency if we don't pay the remaining year out. Unfortunately, our daughter started having nightmares through this experience, and began waking several nights during the week and coming into our room, this never happened beforehand, not once. I imagine she is confused and feels betrayed but will likely get through this stronger after time has passed. She will continue to attend the same school as many of the girls once Covid clears, I fear she will once again face the same stuff and the Sting coach could have stepped in and helped coach this team to be better sportsmanlike. To add insult to injury, we then had parents accusing us of filing complaints against their children and we believe this was shared by the coach himself, this caused our daughter to be retaliated against. Instead of expressing concern for our child's well being, the parents and soccer leave started to gossip and spread lies, never once asking about our daughter or if she was ok and instead avoiding the situation. Moral of the story is, I really don't know... stay far away from this league, they only care about money and fees. read more

Your Austin Branch of Sting Soccer is not about the children. It is about the adults. When a coach tells a 13 year old player during a game to "move, I don't even want to see your face" (because her team was losing the game), when the same coach tells her players they are worthless and that she hates them as a team and you go to the DOC with your concerns you will be blackmailed and your children will suffer as a result! They were removed from the club because of the coaches actions! They knew they were not going to have my girls return because I blew the whistle and showed concern with the treatment of players. Instead of just asking us not to return they allowed my children to tryout, put in 110% effort and work hard. I knew something was going on before tryouts when Oscar would not even speak to my children. After tryouts they club announced that all the players would be notified that night if they made the team. Four hours later everyone on the team was notified that they made the team via email, except MY FAMILY. We did not get any notifications! I called Oscar once, Emailed him and sent him 5 text messages asking him why were were not notified about a team placement for my girls. Twenty One hours went by, and still had not heard anything from him. Then he finally called me and told me my girls didn't make the team. They didn't make the team because I had complained about Jessica during the season. Couldn't they have been less cowardly and just said something before tryouts, so my girls didn't feel unworthy or unqualified for the team? They are both qualified to play at the level the teams were formed. One of my girls even received recognition for "Heart of the Team" (an award), players less qualified made the team. My girls have never given a coach trouble, as a matter of fact my girls show up to every game and practice and do what they are asked to do with complete effort given. This was done for political reasons. If they really cared about the kids they would not have lead my children to believe that they should tryouts on the team who are at a lower level made the team, the teams do not even have full rosters. My daughters were the only children not given a spot. The really shady part of it is they waited 21 hours to tell my girls. I had to reach out constantly to attempt to get an answer. Oscar knew that my girls could have gone elsewhere but again, he was too cowardly to say something prior, he wanted my girls to suffer! read more

Sting has been such a wonderful experience for my family. My daughter started with the club at age 9 and recently graduated and is set with a scholarship to a Div. 1 school! We had several coaches over the years, but found they all worked together for the betterment of the kids. The friends my daughter has made have been invaluable and I truly feel her success academically, and personally has a lot to do with the lessons she learned over the years on the soccer field with Sting. read more
