After grabbing some weights and equipment for the class, I got started. I liked the blend of yoga, bar and aerobic exercises, and more tension-based exercises with the core. Keeps things more interesting with the variety of movements. I had a substitute instructor who was overall great and very encouraging. She really pushed us because she would often count down for some exercises which would make me think we would be done after that, but then she would lead us right into another exercise using the same muscles so you wouldn't get a break! Overall a great opportunity to be challenged with a full body workout! I would definitely go back if price wasn't a barrier for me personally. Membership prices range from $90/month for 4 classes a month to $160/month (unlimited classes.

I've made so many new friendships and let's be honest.. it's hard to make new friends as an adult. It's my place of choice to go to relieve stress, to focus on getting stronger and to just breathe. I would say the biggest impact it's had on my life is I was able to work out during and after my two pregnancies. I simply modified each move to make it possible for my body. The decor was super chic as well, and it felt so lovely to be there. I took the Reformer class with Gabby, and I really enjoyed the entire class. I typically take megaformer classes, but Bodybar was a fun way to switch it up. While I found it to be a little bit easier than a megaformer class, it was still a challenging and fun class that consistently burned out my muscles. I especially loved the lunge-lift move that made it feel like I was flying. :) I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in town!

I have never ever liked to exercise until I was introduced to the Bar Method and the amazing staff at the Plano location.
