A Bosnian sandwich shop is a culinary change of pace. One of the best dive bars in all of Boise, the Navajo Room, is also in the same strip.

I also appreciate the bar with a fair selection of canned drinks and they do a couple themed drinks for the shows. One is typically an Italian soda that can be be made with a shot of vodka or nonalcoholic. I think it would serve them well to add a 3rd option for themed cocktails but I can see why they want to keep it simple for the bar employees who get quite busy on show nights. One down fall is they have no food concessions whatsoever. They put out a small plate of store bought cookies at the bar for intermission but they go super fast... and they are just the Keebler cookies so really nothing all that special so be sure to eat before you come here. The shows they put on are great quality especially the one my fiancé and I went to most recently.. Santa Clause conquers the martians! It's honestly the BEST stage prodution I've seen thus far and I've seen A LOT of amazing theatre productions!! I got a great deal for this show as I volunteered for a day here recently at the box office. When you volunteer they'll give you a free show ticket. I'm not sure if I'll volunteer as a box office attendant here again... while I overall enjoyed it, things did get overwhelming up front at one point and I needed assistance from my supervisor who was helping out at the bar. She definitely gave me a hard time for that after my volunteer shift was up but I do understand her frustration with me, I can't blame her for wanting everything to run smoothly when i forgot how to do a couple tasks that she showed me during training. I recommend being a volunteer for community theatre but unless you are very tech savvy, I'd suggest volunteering as an usher at Boise Little Theater instead as that's much easier and you can still see a show for free. The event center is beautiful and so big! We sat towards the back half of the event center and it was so nice being able to see the screen and stage. Regardless at how tall the person in front of me was, the staggering of the seats didn't block my view. I'm pretty sure no matter where you are sitting, it's still a great seat. There was a 20 minute intermission for the singer and band members to take a break. Of course we headed to concessions to grab a drink. It was nice how they had it set up. The line went really fast and guests were being helped at a great pace. We were able to get our goodies and head back to our seats pretty quickly. I know there are a lot of events that happen here. I need to be more proactive and see what they are. The venue is so pretty here. The seating is comfortable and nice. It was cool to have my first experience at the Morrison Center tonight. Despite flying in outside talent, I've seen better high school performances. Only a few performances stood out. One actor did a decent job and clearly understood the text, though he was surprisingly calm for a supposedly manic character. Two others were ok; one started badly but turned it around, while the other started strong but lost momentum. Most of the performances felt very one-note. One monologue had decent emotion but lacked any kind of range. The performances were also stiff, as if they were acting only from the neck up without using their bodies or playing off one another. There were also several moments where the cast simply didn't commit to the moment. Additionally, there were some odd creative choices, like a father with a Southern accent while his son played it like a character from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Even for a modern adaptation, it just clashed and felt incredibly out of place. Although, I wouldn't fully blame the actors, I feel like another director might've pulled better performances out of them. Ultimately, we ended up leaving during the intermission.

I will put my words in concrete to let everyone know that this coffee joint has the best Chai and staff, hands down! You can't compete with this shop. They are always on point. Thank you to the two baristas working last Saturday afternoon(7.25). The both of them took such good care of me. They were kind about getting me a non communal lid and straw.
