I want to be fair, but honest about our experience. I expected so much more than what we experienced. It was my first year and based off past reviews, it definitely isn't what it was in years past. No corn field One food truck Two big inflatable slides 1 tarot card reader 2 mazes 1 immersion experience-$10 extra The execution felt sloppy and unfinished. It has a very "carney bootleg" vibe. It didn't feel like a highly stage crafted production. On the website they make it seem like it's a complete event, with things to do beyond the maze. There was not. Here is the silver lining, the two mazes ( Asylum and clown) were descent. A lot of jump scares and a few cool features(vibrating floor and loud horns). The actors did a good job of interacting and really are the heart of the experience. Is it worth $30? Umm, that's debatable. I'd probably say it's close to $20. Bottom line it's not as bad as people make it seem in other reviews, but it certainly isn't as good either. I made the most of it with my group and we had a good time getting scared. Visited Friday evening. Amateur hour event. Would not repeat. There are two different businesses here. The Dark Harvest is 2 walk throughs owned by one group. Then there is third "maze" you have to escape that costs another 10 bucks. That group is actually more professional and interactive and fun. However, neither was worth the 25 minute drive in traffic to get there. The first two haunts consist of very little decoration and much yelling in your ear, as others have posted here. Went with a group of friends on Saturday night and we all agreed it's was ok. I think it's too pricy for what it was. Value is more like $15-$20 max. It's a low budget type of haunted house. Not much creepy decor or elaborate scenes which is my favorite part of haunted houses personally. They did have quite a few actors in the haunted house which allowed for a few screams. I know a lot of ppl recommended the additional maze for $10 but I say absolutely pass. There wasn't much too it and it was very confusing and we kept going in circles. There had two room with the most extreme strobe lights I've experienced. These were not "good" strobe light and if you are even a little prone to seizures 100% pass. First off this isn't the Farm or the Studios level haunt, that said I think it offers something unique and I had a great time. There are 2 mazes that you get to walk through with just your party, which is a plus because each scare actor is going to interact with you or someone in your group. The scare actors makeup were all amazing and even while you are standing in line they go out of their way to entertain you. We went on a Sunday evening and there was maybe a 5 minute wait for the mazes. The mazes were creatively as spooky as something you would see at bigger haunts but these are honest people trying to make a buck and I liked the idea of supporting a smaller operation. Every person working there was nice and helpful although they did keep telling us about the 3rd immersive experience, which by the way is an extra 10$ on top of general admission (which is 30$). But since we were done with the first 2 mazes in less than 30 mins we figured why not? I am so glad I opted in for the 3rd maze, it was spooktacular. I don't want to give too much away but you do have to sign a waiver before entering. It's not one of those those torturing or gross out things or anything but it was definitely a unique maze experience which took longer than the other 2 mazes combined. I felt like this one made the night. I will be telling my horror loving friends not to miss out on this experience. Expectations exceeded! We had so much fun doing this cornfield maze haunted house. The cornfield takes the scare factor up and each house were done well and suuuper creepy. The characters all did a marvelous job. They do not pile a bunch of ppl in. Each group is spaced out so you are walking through the corn field with just your group. The people running the event were nice and professional. Mazes aren't overly scary, but still give a creep factor. I don't scare easily, so it's pretty hard for me to rate something 5 stars. I wouldn't even give the big studio productions 5 stars. I enjoyed Dark Harvest because it was low key and easy to get to. Good scare actors. The website states that there would be a pumpkin patch and local vendors. When we arrived their was one food truck open. They had 3 blow up jump houses that weren't even open. They're was no pumpkin patch set up. When I went to ask the staff they tried to blow smoke by saying the pumpkins wouldn't be here till next week other wise they would rot which is B.S. Then when I said why are customers paying for things that aren't actually available. The women got an attitude with me by claiming I was being aggressive. At that point I became angry because she accused me of having an attitude when I was being respectful. They she tried to say oh you only paid for the mazes. The website explicitly states. Me and my boyfriend had such a fun time. I decided on this haunt to be honest and he went along with it. The very dark maze that I believe is VIP only is the best. The other mazes were really good to. The acting is amazing so much better then Knotts Scary Farm where the actors just stand there. The actors in these mazes interact with you but it's not over the top either which I like. Probably the scariest thing I saw was that short alien monster creature. Good job everyone! Cost for 1 ticket was $30 which got you into two mazes. Neither maze was even close to scary. There were bounce houses included which were bouncy. The customer service was bad and the parking lot was closed so we had to park offsite. read more

I saw good reviews on this but now I'm led to believe they're from family members and friends. *semi spoilers ahead* (not that it matters...) We bought a Groupon that saved a bit of money so there's an option. The maze is in a very small parking lot that resembles a small pumpkin patch with no pumpkins lol. Parking fits about 10 cars but there was still room for more cars lol. The workers were nice enough but it would have been better if they were in character. There was no vibe setting outside of the maze. Just a waiting area and a motor home. As we redeem our tickets the workers tells us the actors need water so they will take a 20 min break. So in my head I'm thinking wow they must be really kicking ass in there haha. 20 or so mins later an actor comes out and gives a backround story to the maze which was kinda decent so I had an open mind. We start walking through the maze and it was just a hallway with no decorations lol. Then we started going to room to room and some were okay and some were just bad. Most of the actors were just screaming loudly. We found ourselves wanting to exit and mind you it was only like 3 minutes into the maze. The whole walk through was maybe 5-6 mins long. It was super short and just BAD. The funny part is when we first pulled up to the parking lot there was an OLD couple probably in there 60s-70s and they whispered to me "don't buy tickets its horrible! Just leave now". I'm like crap I already had Groupon. Then I asked them more and the man was like it was terrible. I had a gut instinct to believe them because old people are usually brutally honest haha. When we showed up on time there was nothing planned .. completely unorganized.. they didn't even scan my tickets and I paid for vip. On top they let 2 other families cut in front of us .. even tho we showed up first / paid for vip/ waited in like for 30 mins.. what's the point of a time slot ? Wtf .. the only cool part was the paid actor / clowns that were trying really hard to keep everyone entertained while the staff organized on the spot .. when we finally got to walk the single maze attraction (YES SINGLE..nothing like what's listed online) the actor told us to exit out of the side.. which I'm pretty sure was an emergency exit.. leaving me to walk back to my car from the side of the venue .. (no lights and felt unsafe) WTF? Another actor noticed our dismay and tried to call the "manager" who then told us we didn't complete the maze correctly. I paid 145 .. and I wouldn't even pay $10 per head after that experience. My 6 year old called it a bust.. just a bunch of noise being made with chainsaws & horns... noise isn't scary btw. This was pretty bad. For 30$ plus online fees, you only get to go through two mazes that are just minutes long each if you walk slow enough. No extra things to do unless you wanna pay an additional 10$ to do another extra maze or talk to a fortune teller. Just something to note is they only had 2 food booths with fried food and then drinks like hot chocolate and lemonade. They don't sell alcohol as they don't have a liquor license. Also, the only place you are gunna go to the restroom at is the dingy portapotties in the darkest part of back part of the parking lot. This was a really nice maze, it was pretty long and the detail put into it was very impressive. However do realize it's just the one maze and not what past reviews say. When I first went here I was under the impression that we were going to a more of a fair due to past reviews, SO recognize that this is just the one maze. I would recommend buying the normal tickets and maybe plan to watch a movie afterwards as there is a theatre not to far away. :) The manager Adam was really understanding of how we were under an original different impression of where we were going and helped us out a lot. read more

Scare factors great,!!!!! The people in character rolls did fabulous job being the ones you don't want to meet inside a scary place. What you get for price could have been more inviting as far as seating and a place to chill and visit. Perhaps more food or carnival style food available. Dark Harvest was clearly dark but not so harvest. Recommend Dark Harvest for scare factors but price is questionable. read more

My family and I love Halloween and it's our tradition to seek out as many cool mazes throughout October. We decided to venture to Anaheim from Huntington Beach and unfortunately the Fleshyard Haunted House fell completely short of any expectations that we had, especially for the $17/person that they charge to get in. It's on a weird corner that only has one small parking lot (maybe 10 spots), since we weren't from the area we ended up driving around trying to find where to park. We later learned that you could park in the hotel next door that was extra shady. We walked up and there was a line about 10 deep. They let people in groups of 6, so we thought no problem, the wait shouldn't be too long. We ended up waiting an hour to get in, remember there were only 10 people in front of us. I think they do this, to make it look like there is a huge demand to get in. During the time we were waiting, some of the monsters came to scare us and there was one character that was trying to scare us by drooling and letting his spit roll out of his mouth and then sucked it back up. It was just gross and weird. After we went into the maze they told us a weird story about needing to find a lady in a pink dress throughout the maze. Basically the maze consisted of us just walking down hallways with no continuity to the story we were told and actors just screaming at us. The maze actually smelled really bad, it could've been the hay but it straight up smelled like a dirty barn. I wasn't expecting any huge production but for the price, I was expecting a little better than what we experienced. I feel bad writing such a bad review on a small business but this place isn't worth the money. read more

I feel bad writing this review because I want to support small businesses but this was a waste of my money. We arrived and there were about 10 parking spots which just seems unusual for this kind of event about an hour closed. We arrived and redeemed our Groupon for two red raffle tickets which were not even taken by the attendants when we got to the front. We went through the maze in small groups and were told a story about a woman who lived on a slaughter farm and her Ouija board who became possessed and how she made everyone on the farm insane. I didn't feel like I saw a that story throughout the walk through. I feel like because the top of the walk through was open to the sky it let a lot of moon light/city light in and made the maze not dark. I feel like this could have had an impact on the not so scariness of the walk through because you could kind of see what was around the corner to "scare" you. It took like five minutes to walk through and when we got half way through they kept telling us to get out of there faster and to run to get out. I don't know if they were playing as their characters and telling us to get out of this crazy slaughter house to save us but it seemed like they wanted us to hurry to be done. My husband and I love haunted mazes and we just moved from Idaho and they have some great ones, and we were from a really small community. I was hoping that we would at least see something comparable. This was the worst one I've been to. read more

This was the best maze experience I've had! I brought my husband and our two friends with us. Everything was safe and socially distanced. We also got to meet the creators of the maze and they were so fun to talk to while waiting to enter the maze. It was so creative that they incorporated the multi maze production throughout the corn fields which also gave a very horror movie feel to it! Fleshyard is incredibly fun, interactive theatrical haunt. This is not your standard walk through haunted house. It contains light escape room elements and immersive theatre to tell a story within a haunted house environment. Best maze EVER!! Went tonight and it definitely exceeded my expectations! Considering it's at a pumpkin patch I honestly wasn't expecting much but I was totally wrong!! Honestly, this maze was a lot scarier than Universal Halloween Horror Nights. Pros: it takes about 15 minutes to walk through, the set up takes place in a big, dark corn maze which adds to the scare factor, and scaring begins before you even enter! Definitely worth the money!! First off I'd like to say that this is a different style of walk through. I recommend that you enter with no flashlights. The sets are very detailed and realistic. I recommend you go on a Thursday or if you choose to go on the weekend, buy the fast pass. Lines can be anywhere from 1-2 hours long. I'd like to add some constructive criticism. 1. Please allow for some space between parities. I really enjoy the first two sets, but once I go to the clown house there was a group of 3 in front of us that kept stopping to allow the party inside the house to clear out. This ruined half of the walk through for my party and I. We were standing in the same place for 2-3 mins. 2. More monsters. There were only monsters creeping in the sets and not in the corn. 3. Set a story. Maybe have a main character to the event and try to tie a story to the maze. I recall one of your employee that you are competing against knotts and I believe that they have great original projects in their park. I'd love to see some original projects with this event. I see a lot of potential in this place and I'd love to see it grow. Lastly... CHAINSAWS! Give this place a visit you won't be disappointed. I really wish I could have experience the walk through without the party in front of us. This is a good Haunted House Experience. The story is different and interesting. I really liked the energy of the actors. They have a short section where the maze is interactive and you have to find a key inside a locked room so you could proceed through the experience. I found this fun but am curious if it became problematic on a very busy night. All in all The Fleshyard was the standout maze at Horrorworld this year! This is the first time my wife and I experienced The Fleshyard, and we had a great time. The haunt is located in a small pumpkin patch near the Cinema City. Parking is small, but the hotel next door allows for overflow parking. We had to check in at the front to claim our tickets, but nobody ended up taking them in the end. What really wowed us was the dedication given by the scare actors. When we went, there was a small line of about 10-15 people, and they only sent in small groups of 4-6 people in at a time. While waiting, we were entertained by a handful of scare actors who interacted with everyone in line. It was a blast watching them play around with us and each other - some of them even get EXTREMELY close to you and make you feel uncomfortable, which is great fun. The maze itself was entertaining and had some great scenes and actors. The story was a little hard to follow, and some parts of the maze were empty, but we still enjoyed it. Again, the actors really brought it to life with their dedication to scare and entertain. Overall we were impressed with what we saw, and with the low price of admission, it is worth a visit. Remember, this is a family-run haunt, so don't expect anything really fancy like you see at Knotts or Universal. Also, I think this is a great place to bring younger crowds if you're looking to introduce them to haunts in general. Thanks to the team that put out this years show.
