I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

The studio is awesome, but it was Alex & Mandy that made the night so much fun! The hours went by so fast, w/ drying times occupied by a scavenger hunt, adding our mark to the group paintings and a beer break. The evening ended w/ Alex's surprise piano solo! Though my husband had a bit of painting experience, my daughter & I hadn't ever done a painting. We were so surprised that we could end up with a real painting that we liked enough to display! We had so much fun and even my husband said he'd want to do it again! That is the ultimate endorsement!

It was "okay", but the price was a bit steep. I took my 10yo daughter here for her first "Haunted…read moreHouse" walk through... The employees did a good job trying to keep everyone entertained. Location was a bit small, and the props were a bit outdated. No "walking though fog" effects or strobe lights... just a basic walk through. I paid $60 in total, i feel as if it was twice as much as I would've liked to have paid

I want to be fair, but honest about our experience…read more I expected so much more than what we experienced. It was my first year and based off past reviews, it definitely isn't what it was in years past. No corn field One food truck Two big inflatable slides 1 tarot card reader 2 mazes 1 immersion experience-$10 extra The execution felt sloppy and unfinished. It has a very "carney bootleg" vibe. It didn't feel like a highly stage crafted production. On the website they make it seem like it's a complete event, with things to do beyond the maze. There was not. Here is the silver lining, the two mazes ( Asylum and clown) were descent. A lot of jump scares and a few cool features(vibrating floor and loud horns). The actors did a good job of interacting and really are the heart of the experience. Is it worth $30? Umm, that's debatable. I'd probably say it's close to $20. Bottom line it's not as bad as people make it seem in other reviews, but it certainly isn't as good either. I made the most of it with my group and we had a good time getting scared. I probably wouldn't go back next year unless there was a complete overhaul. Pro tip: You don't need VIP/Express, save your money. Longest wait for me was 20mins(7pm time). You can buy your own ticket at the door. You'll save on fees Even though you have a online ticket, you have to stand in purchase line to get a paper ticket that's taken at the front of maze.

I was really looking forward to seeing Shakespeare in the park, but I gotta say, the Winter's Edge…read morewas a major letdown. Despite flying in outside talent, I've seen better high school performances. Only a few performances stood out. One actor did a decent job and clearly understood the text, though he was surprisingly calm for a supposedly manic character. Two others were ok; one started badly but turned it around, while the other started strong but lost momentum. Most of the performances felt very one-note. One monologue had decent emotion but lacked any kind of range. The performances were also stiff, as if they were acting only from the neck up without using their bodies or playing off one another. There were also several moments where the cast simply didn't commit to the moment. Additionally, there were some odd creative choices, like a father with a Southern accent while his son played it like a character from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Even for a modern adaptation, it just clashed and felt incredibly out of place. Although, I wouldn't fully blame the actors, I feel like another director might've pulled better performances out of them. Ultimately, we ended up leaving during the intermission.

They have a kitchen, a nursery, a computer room with HP computers if someone wanted to do a class there, other classrooms of varying sizes, and larger rooms where people could host something like a wedding reception. They even have a bar. For the museum type, you can walk around and look at artwork on the walls upstairs and downstairs, bright, colorful murals showcasing some classic Mexican themes like loteria, La Virgen de Guadalupe, Selena, and a low rider couple. They also have a room that has some ornate Mexican sombreros, dolls, and more artwork. I was given a lot of individual attention and instruction as Im not a very good dancer. I do feel that I was not meeting the expectations of my instructor and that I was simply not a good fit for this studio. If you go to this studio you should perhaps have thick skin and understand the expectations are high. The group is also small and I honestly felt like an outsider. That being said, this is what happened that has left me so upset with my final experience with Blue Moon Haven. I accidentally took someones boots after class and left mine. When I found out, I was unable to drive at the time and asked the person to come to my house (less than 3 miles away) and get them. When they arrived I brought the boots out to them with a fresh baked cinnamon roll, tea, and an appology. It was a honest mistake and I thought it was settled. A few days later Dana messaged me and treated me like a criminal and inconsiderate person. I was mortified! Honestly, I felt like I was back in school and being picked on. If this is such a huge matter then they should have lockers available to students. Otherwise we could just be gracious and accept accidents happen. I am very sorry for the accident, but felt that the treatment I recieved was not deserved. If you are new to dance and sensitive like myself then you should probably go elsewhere. I changed my review to 2 stars because after sleeping on it I do feel I need to express that I did gain a love of dance...even though I'm not very good at it and they did work hard to teach me. Regarding the situation with the boots and how it was handled though, it was extremely unprofessional and very hurtful to me personally.
