Everything about it was a ton of fun. It was my first painting experience and I'm hooked!

This could be the best date location I can think of and somewhere I cannot wait to go back to (even if it is not on a date). The staff is SUPER helpful and makes the experience so fun and easy. They have so many different guided paintings, they have something for everyone (even a nerd like me). Went to my first "class" and was VERY disappointed. Group of 7 celebrating a birthday. First disappointment was the sandwich board sign at the boutique's entrance offering seating in this class for $10 LESS than our reservation amount. The instructor had a soft voice that was difficult to hear and seemed offended when asked to speak up and asked if the music in the high ceiling event site be turned down. (Music was controlled by the bar, which was open and adjacent to out painting area.) As the class progressed, the instructor seemed to choose to ignore questions of half the group and did not provide the same level of service to those. And don't expect a "sip" or even a glass of water--not included in price! read more

Love this place. I've gone multiple times it's really fun. The staff are friendly & helpful. I tell all my friends about it.

Had a blast with hubby tonight and painted both our babies. Host really seemed as though she didn't want to be there and wasn't all that great to deal with or ask questions to. We also felt rushed the entire time while painting our pets. I wasn't able to finish my background and my husband wasn't able to finish our dog. Host literally took the brush from his hands and we have a half painted tongue. Over all, we had fun. Had a great local wine and was able to let lose, but won't be back if we know who is teaching. Also - paint n'sip doesn't actually include sipping per seat. You have to pay extra. read more

I had the pleasure of attending a paint n' sip Birthday Party for a friend of mine this past Friday. This was the first time I participated in an event like this. OMG was it fun! I am not an artist by any means but Jessica, who guided us through our design choice made it so much easier and fun. Her artistic ability and suggestions really helped so much and if I made an error or something wasn't working out right she had a way to work around it. I highly recommend giving this a try! We had so much fun! The instructors, Jessica and Kirby were amazing. They made complete non-artists, into painters! We had 4 people and all 4 paintings looked like their pet. We are proud of our work and will hang them in our home. My only wish, was that the venue (Homestead Bar and Grill) had a back room so poor Jessica didn't have to shout over the crowd to instruct us, and also, I wish we had more time to enjoy it. The instructors stayed late to let us complete our paintings, but I could have spent all day having this much fun. I highly recommend this for everyone, and it would also work for teenagers. My fiancee and I went to a paint your pet class and had to book this well in advance as these classes keep selling out. We were really excited. It was pretty fun but didn't really live up to our expectations. The canvases were pre-sketched or outlined with a drawing of our pets based on the pictures we sent ahead which is a good idea. I just wish they hadn't drawn it so that only half of our pets face was on or canvases. There seemed to be too much room left for the background and not enough of the subject in focus. I feel as though this might have been done on purpose to speed up the painting time but not sure. As for the sip part of the class, there was a full bar selection of different wines and ciders, as well as some non-alcoholic beverages available. The disappointing part was that all drinks were to be paid for on top of the ticket price. The tickets themselves were really quite expensive, at $45 a person. I know that the art supplies were included in that cost but canvases and paint don't cost that much, especially when bought in bulk as I'm sure they do. I believe being that the idea of the class is to relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine while creating art, the first drink should at least be included in the cost of admission. We will give this another shot as it was a lot of fun painting our fur babies even if their faces were placed on the canvas in a weird way. read more

I absolutely love this studio and the instructors. I am no Picasso... and I am never treated bad because of it. There are no mistakes in art! I have done 3 classes so far and plan on doing more as it is a great therapy session! Only suggestion... do not take a intro class at 8:30 at night as there doesn't seem enough time to get your painting completed and they are a little rushed to get the class done, understandably...as it's so late. This is such a wonderful experience and I plan on doing so much more painting with them! read more

We had a girl's night out at Paint 'n Sip and it was a lot of fun. The instructor (can't remember hearing his name) and host (Libby) were very nice and helpful! I would definitely do it again. Also, for anyone thinking 45$ is a lot of money, I know it is but it's not too much for this. They give you an outline of your pet so you are pretty much guaranteed something you wouldn't mind hanging up in your house. You also can use as much paint as you want - within in reason I am sure. There were several times where we all asked for more and were greeted with a friendly smile and more paint. read more

I signed up two people for a class here and my card was charged the full amount upon signing up online. I showed up for the class and the place was closed and all lights turned off/no one inside. Double checked the place/time and it was right. I've had no luck contacting them to get any explanation or refund. I'd caution against signing up here. read more

First, my order wasn't registered but I had an email response to show the instructor on my phone. The class was very crowded and there weren't enough places so she added more. It was all very tight. Like Jessica, I felt rushed and was disappointed that the "Sip" wasn't included. The price seemed high but I liked the subject and had been wanting to try this. The instructor did nothing to review the general process but dove right into adding strokes to the top of the canvas, after starting several minutes late. This is not instructing. Honestly, I would do a better job by myself, now that I understand the approach for this subject. At the end, we were so rushed, I couldn't even get a change of water so my snow could actually be white. She insisted it didn't matter. It did. I think her take aways should be respond to the email questions up front, a smaller class size, include the beverage or change your name, be more reasonable about the time, the pace and the supplies. We're there to learn something, relax and have some fun branching out. Seems that she's just interested in the business end. Sad. read more

Paint 'n Sip was such a fun, light experience! I hadn't painted since it was mandatory to do so in an elementary art class, so I did not expect too much of myself. I'm proud to say, my cupcake painting isn't half bad - Matter of fact, everyone's painting turned out wonderfully unique! Paint 'n Sip has fun, laid-back instructors and the (surprisingly) large alcohol/beverage selection doesn't hurt either: Red Wines, White Wines, Bubbly, Beer, Ciders, Coffees, Teas! I'd recommend this place to anyone! Singles, groups of friends, date nights... You can't go wrong! read more

I've gone twice now, had 2 different instructors. One was really laid back and nice and the other still nice but seemed more on a time crunch. I'd rather have time built in for slower people to catch up and for others to look around/joke with the people they came with. At any rate, had a A LOT FUN each time. I have been to Paint 'n Sip several times for open painting and my friends and I have always had a great time! Everyone that works there is great, helpful, and fun. They have a great selection of paintings you can do and they provide all of the supplies. And of course the wine bar is awesome as well. I would and have recommended this to many people that have never painted and after the first fear passes and they get into it they surprise themselves with what they can accomplish. read more

I went in hopes of learning about painting techniques, acrylics, etc., but left a little disappointed. Was disappointed that the class price does not include your 'sip'. You must buy your beverage to 'sip'. And they expect a tip for standing behind a counter and pouring you a glass of wine into a plastic cup. For $8 I got 6-8 oz of wine in a plastic Dixie cup. The experience just left me flat. read more

DON'T buy a Groupon, Living Social or Dealsaver for this business. The coupons SAY they save you 50% or more off the price, but most of their classes are $35 (they hold very few of the more expensive classes), so it will probably only save you a couple dollars - and sometimes they have specials which make it cheaper. These coupons are ALSO not good for private parties even if you have a large group. read more
