The level of technical dance instruction is very high and is delivered in a supportive and positive way. This is a highly inclusive studio with classes offered to all ages and ranges of abilities, as well as many different styles of dance and training. A positive body image is clearly something this studio values as can be seen by the range of body types within their team dancers and the overall attitude at the school. The owner, instructors, and staff have gone out of their way to make my daughter feel so loved and special. To see her skills grow along with her passion for dance has been priceless. We have been at Echo for over five years and my daughter has left every class happy. I can't recommend this dance studio enough.

Personally, I like their traditional shows, but New Dance holds a special place in my heart. Combining dance vignettes along a central theme, Ballet Idaho pulls in numbers from international artists and counterbalances them with local choreographers. The last New Dance I attended was Form and Concept. They wove video components between dance numbers and the segment Particles had my eyes swelling with tears. Ballet Idaho's support staff is welcoming, informative and clearly passionate about the role traditional dance plays in a community. For those who have yet to attend a Ballet Idaho performance, or don't know if they like ballet, I say do it. Do yourself a favor and become a patron of a fine Boise institution. The night before we went to set up only to find out 2 of the tables were broken! So there goes seating for 20 people. Despite this inconvenience Pat kept $50.00 of our deposit indicating she had to relocate a trashcan we had left out of order and that the people we left in charge of cleanup didnt wipe down the mirror... Well, except WE cleaned up and we made sure the place was spotless. We did not leave the cleaning to anyone else. She also said we left cake on the carpet which is ludicrous. Needless to say, we should have received all of our deposit back since the tables were broken, and the window sills were dusty and crummy.

One is a whole lot of wild, while the other is painfully introverted and in her head. Jessica encourages and provides a supportive structured environment for them both to be themselves and challenges them to grow as dancers. I've watched the classes enough to see how Jessica loves all of her students and her genuine excitement when the kids land a new skill. Ballet/Tap Combo Class-This is a 1 hour class designed for preschoolers age 4-5 year olds. Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo Class-This is a 1 hour & 15 minute class designed for age 6-8 year olds. This class is a combination of 30 minutes of Ballet, 30 minutes Tap and 15 minutes of Jazz.
