The level of technical dance instruction is very high and is delivered in a supportive and positive way. This is a highly inclusive studio with classes offered to all ages and ranges of abilities, as well as many different styles of dance and training. A positive body image is clearly something this studio values as can be seen by the range of body types within their team dancers and the overall attitude at the school. The owner, instructors, and staff have gone out of their way to make my daughter feel so loved and special. To see her skills grow along with her passion for dance has been priceless. We have been at Echo for over five years and my daughter has left every class happy. I can't recommend this dance studio enough.

I was given a lot of individual attention and instruction as Im not a very good dancer. I do feel that I was not meeting the expectations of my instructor and that I was simply not a good fit for this studio. If you go to this studio you should perhaps have thick skin and understand the expectations are high. The group is also small and I honestly felt like an outsider. That being said, this is what happened that has left me so upset with my final experience with Blue Moon Haven. I accidentally took someones boots after class and left mine. When I found out, I was unable to drive at the time and asked the person to come to my house (less than 3 miles away) and get them. When they arrived I brought the boots out to them with a fresh baked cinnamon roll, tea, and an appology. It was a honest mistake and I thought it was settled. A few days later Dana messaged me and treated me like a criminal and inconsiderate person. I was mortified! Honestly, I felt like I was back in school and being picked on. If this is such a huge matter then they should have lockers available to students. Otherwise we could just be gracious and accept accidents happen. I am very sorry for the accident, but felt that the treatment I recieved was not deserved. If you are new to dance and sensitive like myself then you should probably go elsewhere. I changed my review to 2 stars because after sleeping on it I do feel I need to express that I did gain a love of dance...even though I'm not very good at it and they did work hard to teach me. Regarding the situation with the boots and how it was handled though, it was extremely unprofessional and very hurtful to me personally.

Whether you're attending one of their larger performances like The Nutcracker at the Morrison Center, or something intimate like New Dance at their rehearsal space, you'll get magnificent, emotive entertainment from these talented folks. Personally, I like their traditional shows, but New Dance holds a special place in my heart. Combining dance vignettes along a central theme, Ballet Idaho pulls in numbers from international artists and counterbalances them with local choreographers. The last New Dance I attended was Form and Concept. They wove video components between dance numbers and the segment Particles had my eyes swelling with tears. Ballet Idaho's support staff is welcoming, informative and clearly passionate about the role traditional dance plays in a community. For those who have yet to attend a Ballet Idaho performance, or don't know if they like ballet, I say do it. Do yourself a favor and become a patron of a fine Boise institution. The night before we went to set up only to find out 2 of the tables were broken! So there goes seating for 20 people. Despite this inconvenience Pat kept $50.00 of our deposit indicating she had to relocate a trashcan we had left out of order and that the people we left in charge of cleanup didnt wipe down the mirror... Well, except WE cleaned up and we made sure the place was spotless. We did not leave the cleaning to anyone else. She also said we left cake on the carpet which is ludicrous. Needless to say, we should have received all of our deposit back since the tables were broken, and the window sills were dusty and crummy.

Jessica encourages and provides a supportive structured environment for them both to be themselves and challenges them to grow as dancers.
