You cannot get that anywhere else. My 5yo daughter says it is a "loving and kind" environment and that is why she loves it. She knows that they care about her, they are invested in her development and that they instill a respectful culture. It is truly special. The education she has gotten there is so well rounded, I cannot say enough. They implement the Montessori methodology and have gone above and beyond to implement as many learning opportunities as possible. My daughter has grown in math and reading as well as the day to day basics that children need to grow in this world. Just this week they have been growing their own spices, learning about them, grinding them and bringing them home for use. She loves it. Ms Rosemarie has been teaching her Spanish, which she loves, and Ms Carrie has been taking them on educational field trips to grow her education in the community. She looks forward to seeing Ms Jan every day, and wanted to tell her about her loose tooth. She loves Ms Amy and the activities she has put together for the outside play. I just can't say enough good things. We love all of the teachers there. If you want your child to thrive, bring them here!

I had fond memories of Cloverdale Montessori when I went here as a child (30+ years ago), so I decided to enroll her here for the 2022-2023 school year. The school has changed ownership a few times since I attended but it is still as wonderful as I remember. My daughter's development is night and day since her fist day there. In one year, she has not only improved in knowledge and comprehension, but also in speech and social skills. They really have the school structure down to a science. It is set up perfectly to teach practical life skills, academics, independence, and social skills. All the teachers there are wonderful, respectful, knowledgeable and really care about making sure each child gets what they need to constantly be moving forward. Ms. Jan was always welcoming and made morning drop off stress free. Ms. Carrie and Ms. Rosemarie, who were her primary teachers, really went above and beyond to adapt their teaching styles to her learning style so she could succeed, for which we are so grateful. Sadly, Cloverdale does not offer elementary levels so we have had to change schools since graduation, and unfortunately, I now know first hand that not all Montessori schools in the area are as invested in your child as Cloverdale Montessori. So, if you are looking into a Montessori school for your child, you really cannot do better than Cloverdale Montessori.

Now we are settled into Idaho and at Heroes and I don't think our kids will let us ever leave (not that I want to). As an Acton Academy, Heroes encourages every child to think and behave like a hero, not a victim, while embarking on a self-growth journey. They encourage every family and child to be proactive, begin with the end in mind, to hold themselves and others accountable and to high standards. It's a place where children discover their own passions, gifts and begin to lead meaningful and purposeful lives. I have seen incredible growth in all 4 of our children over the last 2 years while attending Heroes Academy. They have developed real life skills such as how to have a meaningful conversation with an adult; how to fail and get back up again; how to speak in front of a large crowd; how to begin finding a passion or start a small business, all without our help. If you're worried that your child isn't actually learning much by completing so many assignments, doing homework each day, taking tests and getting 'good' grades in the assembly line of a traditional public education system, then Heroes Academy might be great for your family. I couldn't be happier with Heroes Academy and all that they have done for our entire family. You see, being a family at Heroes has encouraged my husband and I to continue on our own self-growth journey and to push ourselves each day, while our kids grow right alongside of us.

This school made me discover my passions and really let me focus on what I am interested in. Coming to this school gives you the opportunities no other school would. you get to learn new things every session and it has challenges that teach you to learn, not to remember. i highly recommend this school especially if your child has adhd, add, autism, or anxiety because this place is very welcoming and helped me so much mentally.

My daughter absolutely loves going to school, loves her teachers and her friends! She even started writing her own name now. If you're looking for a place to for your kiddo as a home away from home I HIGHLY recommend Katie's Kids Preschool! A full year in the books being with Katie's Kids preschool and our family has never been happier!…read more I personally have been involved in my kid's daycares before we moved to Eagle, ID (and also my oldest daughter's school experience being that she is special needs), so I am a bull dog mama making sure the right people are taking care of my kids. The teachers and staff working at Katie's Kids along with Katie herself are exactly who I want molding and helping my children learn and grow. To be honest, reading one of these negative views gets my blood boiling because Katie works so hard to give/provide the best possible experience and atmosphere for our children and her staff. Katie is a BOSS LADY because she has has built her business from the ground up and to be honest if it were a man we were talking about no one would be questioning it. Women need to be lifting other women up not trying to tear them apart. Also, Katie is more direct then most so because she is direct and has strict policy on sickness/illness (to protect her and the school from liability) she is now seen as a rude?!! My kids have had Hand foot, Mouth, pink eye, etc. so we have had to take our kids out for days and weeks at a time. Unfortunately, that is part of the drill when your kids go to daycare/school. They are going to get sick sometimes more often especially if they are new. And believe me it's hard working with your kids home but if your kids are sick or have a contagious bug then no matter what school they are at you would have to keep them home. What I really want to emphasize is that the teachers are happy and you can tell they are part of a family there and I feel that way too. Katie and Wendy are always available; their door is always open if I need to discuss anything but I find myself sharing our lives and all the positive things my kiddos are doing and learning. Leaving your children everyday in the care of someone else is scary and hard to do. I have had family help raising my children, previous day care facilities, an in home facility and school so I know all facets of this industry. That said, I have an almost 2 year old and a 5 year old at Katie's (my oldest is in 1st grade) and we feel good dropping them off EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. My kids are loved and celebrated. They are taught to be kind, respectful and overall good humans which is hard to come by in this day and age. We are blessed to have Katie and her staff in our lives taking care of our children while my husband and I both work and I hope you check it out and find out how wonderful it is for yourself!

Being a private school you expect more, because each child is so profitable from the monthly income they bring into the school, they will keep a bully vs removing them. Both of my children were bullied, the principal would tell me it will be talked about every time I came for help to protect my child. The bullying continued, so bad my children had to be forced to go to school to not get behind as they felt they endured mental abuse. The rate at which students are leaving this school for another school is high. The principal allows the best students to leave by not addressing the problem students. Every student causing problems can stay and persist in problems rather than being removed permanently as the parents talk in groups about how everyone pulls from the school because the principal is allowing the problem students to maintain bullying. My son now has to be removed from the school because he is crying himself to sleep. the child harassing him has been allowed to do so the entire year no change only empty promises. If your child is harassed, you'll be forced to leave because the harasser will never be asked to leave. Shameful

The slide isn't always staffed, but when it is, it's super fun... even as a grown up :-) They have a rock wall, track for walking/running, and offer fitness classes. My mom likes doing the circuit of machines up in the weight lifting area. There's lots of cardio equipment. I usually prefer the free weights and non-circuit resistance machines for my workouts, and I've found everything I needed at this YMCA. Staff and members are all friendly, and I've never felt uncomfortable working out here. Sometimes you end up weighting for weights or machines, especially during peak times, but that's pretty much how it goes at any gym. Membership is $50/month for one person, or I believe $80/month for two, so a bit of savings. Considering everything you have access to with a membership, it's honestly not a bad deal. I have paid as much or more for gyms with way fewer amenities, let alone for a yoga or pilates studio. Definitely a good option.

I will say it is a bit pricey, but they have financial assistance for people who are needing it, and when I lost my job we paid based on how much we made so cost doesn't have to be a factor preventing you from going to an inclusive community center for all ages. The YMCA in West Boise offers a great experience for any newcomer to the gym or long time veterans who are just coming in to work out.
