I will admit that during our search, we actually drove by Cloverdale Montessori the day before our appointment with them, and at first glance thought, "No, this one won't work because it's just a residential house. Seems weird." But we took our daughter to the appointment anyway and I am so happy we did. We were greeted by Miss Rose Marie (Sorry if that's spelled wrong), and for the first time in the many tours or school visits, our daughter was IMMEDIATELY engaged and focused. I was in awe. Their style of teaching had my daughter wanting to learn, understanding what she was learning, and understanding the importance of manners and proper etiquette. After being there for an hour and seeing what my daughter had learned in that short time, I was sold. That was in 2023 when my daughter began her education journey with Cloverdale Montessori and just finished their kindergarten and fun summer program three years later. I really can't say enough about this school. The owners Tim and Marie, their lead administrator/teacher Miss Carrie, and all the wonderful teachers there are some of the most caring and dedicated people you will ever meet. Their teaching style goes well beyond standard education...obviously and probably most importantly, my daughter learned SO much when it comes to reading, writing, math, science, and all the core education items that children need to excel in life, but I feel like my daughter became a better and kinder human from being around these teachers. They don't get political, they show no bias, they just teach human kindness. Oh, and I should add that once you get into the "residential house" that I initially thought wouldn't work, you find several different cozy learning areas and a huge, amazing backyard with all kinds of play equipment and fun activities. I'm sad that she has now "aged out" of Cloverdale, but am so grateful for the three years she had there. She learned so much, made so many friends, and made so many memories. I would highly recommend Cloverdale Montessori to anyone looking for their child's first school. You won't regret it.

You cannot get that anywhere else. My 5yo daughter says it is a "loving and kind" environment and that is why she loves it. She knows that they care about her, they are invested in her development and that they instill a respectful culture. It is truly special. The education she has gotten there is so well rounded, I cannot say enough. They implement the Montessori methodology and have gone above and beyond to implement as many learning opportunities as possible. My daughter has grown in math and reading as well as the day to day basics that children need to grow in this world. Just this week they have been growing their own spices, learning about them, grinding them and bringing them home for use. She loves it. Ms Rosemarie has been teaching her Spanish, which she loves, and Ms Carrie has been taking them on educational field trips to grow her education in the community. She looks forward to seeing Ms Jan every day, and wanted to tell her about her loose tooth. She loves Ms Amy and the activities she has put together for the outside play. I just can't say enough good things. We love all of the teachers there. If you want your child to thrive, bring them here!

I removed my son from Precious Hands Academy Meridian in the middle of last year and I am ashamed…read morethat I am just now posting the facts of why, but it was a lot to cope with while separating from his father, working full-time and not being able to press charges. I have read too many things to not at this point. April 27, 2022 - I received a call that my child's hand had been closed in the outside door and that it was "pretty messed up". Living 2 blocks away I rushed there in 2 minutes, picked him up, and took him to the urgent care behind the center. He had an x-ray and due to his bones not being fully developed, we were lucky it wasn't broken. Okay, mistakes happen.. July 20th, 2022 - I picked up my son from daycare and the lady from his 2's classroom mentioned he had a rash, and that it "was a struggle to change his diaper, it took them a while and he was really upset". My first question was "why didn't you call me", they knew I lived two blocks away and work from home. When I got him home I immediately went to check and found a diaper rash that looked like burn marks. He was in excruciating pain. I scheduled a meeting with the owner in the morning who apologized profusely and blamed it on "needing to provide the girls better training", I felt a bit uneasy but I was reassured she would personally be checking on him every hour, they texted me throughout the day, moved him to the upper 2's class with my niece that was verbal and I picked him up early. Why I left him another day.. breaks my heart and makes me feel like such a terrible mom. July 21st, 2022 - I went to change my sons diaper in the morning and found bruised handprints appearing on his inner thighs. I sent pictures to the owner and said he would not be coming back. I called the police immediately and they came to take a statement and scheduled me an appointment with child abuse investigators. During that appointment, the investigator said this was obvious signs of child abuse based on the rash and bruising. She also confirmed 5 days after the bruising began to show (that's how bad it was) that she had no doubt they were handprints, and cried with me. Two days later, I received a call from the detective who said that because the daycare did not admit to holding him down, there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute and they were forced to drop my case. I documented everything, I followed all of the right steps.. when I reached out asking for others to message me their experiences, the over-pour of messages was horrendous. I documented all of those and sent them to the detective, still nothing. I cannot share those stories since there is no evidence. My niece came home one day after wearing the same diaper from 12:15-6:15, they blamed it on shift change. (documented) Both children came home thirsty every day. They let them play outside in high temperatures. Sugar was everywhere. Candy, dumdums we're given to 2 year olds, my niece swallowed one and choked on it. I believe it was my mom who smacked her back and it flew out of her throat. They do not allow parents past the gate for a reason and I should have questioned this. One time I went to pick him up and there were 16 kids in a room with two girls sitting in a corner on their phones. To all of the parents who have their children there, I am so sorry I didn't have the courage to say anything before today. please forgive me.

We moved my son's daycare after only a week at his first one, after we picked him up swollen and bleeding with no indication or resolution to what happened. Kristi helped expedite the enrollment process so we could get him started within just a week of our tour. Since the first day we dropped him off, it was a night and day difference in care and his demeanor. He's excited in the mornings when I drop him off and he's happy when I go to pick him up. When I check the cameras, he's smiling and laughing and engaging in enriching activities. The employees here seem like they genuinely enjoy what they do, and truly care about the children. For a 6mo, the relationship with an alternate caregiver is so important for their development, and I can tell my son really loves these girls and has bonded with them. I'm grateful to have him here starting in their infant class because he'll be able to grow with the school and the teachers and directors who have known him from the beginning. I feel like I can actually be productive at work because I know my son is being taken care of well :)
