Amber the director was so kind and thoroughly answered all questions/concerns we had. The facility is clean, warm, and very secure. Our daughter just loves going to school every day! Since being enrolled here she has learned so many new things including a bit of sign language! Miss Kaylee is such a great transition twos teacher. She is always communicating with us patents on what the kids are doing during the day and even sends pictures through the app! Not only does she care for them on a child care level, but she teaches them a new subject every month and always has art projects for them to do that correspond with the theme. The Goddard School and its proprietary curriculum may not be well-suited to fit every child's needs and all familys' budgets, but we feel it's well-suited to our child's needs and well-worth the added expense over some of its competitors. We did not want to be part of that statistic so we began our preschool search based off of accredited early education programs like NAEYC, NHSA, ZeroToThree, and NAAEE standards. While we were fortunate to find multiple options in the Treasure Valley there were only a few that rose above the rest. We highlighted Kodomo Kids because they offer: - certified/well-educated staff (graduate degree early education) - small class size in an informal yet safe/clean environment - NO screen time in lieu of daily nature play outdoors - uses the Brightwheel phone app for real time updates throughout the day - fluency in multiple languages (Japanese and American Sign Language) There is still a lot of research to be done on childhood bilingualism but we do know that children can learn two or more languages during childhood without any problems. And that in fact, it is much easier to learn language in the early years from a native speaker not videos.
