I couldn't ask for a better environment for the foundation of my daughter's school years and learning. The Christian environment is important to our family, and I love that is a main focus at the school too. There are plenty of other preschools to choose from in Meridian and closer to where we live... but I will gladly make the drive to Eagle Christian preschool knowing my daughter is thriving and in such good care!!

It is a true blessing to have a preschool of this caliber in our small town of Eagle -in which the moment we walk in, we can feel that our child is cared for, safe and that he is receiving a top notch education which is fostering his love of learning. During our tour, they expressed how much they loved our child, how well she would fit, and even told us there was an open spot. All we needed to do was complete the application. We did exactly that. The application asked detailed questions about our specific Christian faith and the church we attend. Within a week of submitting it, we received a cold, impersonal email informing us that our application was being terminated and our fee refunded. No explanation. No conversation. No willingness to clarify anything. Just a closed door. When I reached out and respectfully asked for the reason behind their sudden reversal, we received complete silence. Not even the courtesy of a reply. Based on the timing and the nature of the questions they focused on, it is hard to see this as anything other than religious discrimination. What makes this even more painful is that our child previously attended a nearly identical "Classical Christian" school in another state--with the same curriculum, same values, same books, same structure--and thrived as a straight-A student. She was everything they say they want in a student. Explaining to her why Ambrose had suddenly changed their mind was absolutely heartbreaking. Their academics appear strong, and I am sure many students receive an excellent education. But our experience revealed something far more concerning: a lack of transparency, compassion, and Christlike behavior. The way we were treated was dismissive, exclusionary, and completely out of line with the values they claim to uphold. Families deserve honesty and respect. Sadly, we experienced neither.

Now we are settled into Idaho and at Heroes and I don't think our kids will let us ever leave (not that I want to). As an Acton Academy, Heroes encourages every child to think and behave like a hero, not a victim, while embarking on a self-growth journey. They encourage every family and child to be proactive, begin with the end in mind, to hold themselves and others accountable and to high standards. It's a place where children discover their own passions, gifts and begin to lead meaningful and purposeful lives. I have seen incredible growth in all 4 of our children over the last 2 years while attending Heroes Academy. They have developed real life skills such as how to have a meaningful conversation with an adult; how to fail and get back up again; how to speak in front of a large crowd; how to begin finding a passion or start a small business, all without our help. If you're worried that your child isn't actually learning much by completing so many assignments, doing homework each day, taking tests and getting 'good' grades in the assembly line of a traditional public education system, then Heroes Academy might be great for your family. I couldn't be happier with Heroes Academy and all that they have done for our entire family. This school made me discover my passions and really let me focus on what I am interested in. A full year in the books being with Katie's Kids preschool and our family has never been happier!…read more I personally have been involved in my kid's daycares before we moved to Eagle, ID (and also my oldest daughter's school experience being that she is special needs), so I am a bull dog mama making sure the right people are taking care of my kids. The teachers and staff working at Katie's Kids along with Katie herself are exactly who I want molding and helping my children learn and grow. To be honest, reading one of these negative views gets my blood boiling because Katie works so hard to give/provide the best possible experience and atmosphere for our children and her staff. Katie is a BOSS LADY because she has has built her business from the ground up and to be honest if it were a man we were talking about no one would be questioning it. Women need to be lifting other women up not trying to tear them apart. Also, Katie is more direct then most so because she is direct and has strict policy on sickness/illness (to protect her and the school from liability) she is now seen as a rude?!! My kids have had Hand foot, Mouth, pink eye, etc. so we have had to take our kids out for days and weeks at a time. Unfortunately, that is part of the drill when your kids go to daycare/school. They are going to get sick sometimes more often especially if they are new. And believe me it's hard working with your kids home but if your kids are sick or have a contagious bug then no matter what school they are at you would have to keep them home. What I really want to emphasize is that the teachers are happy and you can tell they are part of a family there and I feel that way too. Katie and Wendy are always available; their door is always open if I need to discuss anything but I find myself sharing our lives and all the positive things my kiddos are doing and learning. Leaving your children everyday in the care of someone else is scary and hard to do. I have had family help raising my children, previous day care facilities, an in home facility and school so I know all facets of this industry. That said, I have an almost 2 year old and a 5 year old at Katie's (my oldest is in 1st grade) and we feel good dropping them off EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. My kids are loved and celebrated. They are taught to be kind, respectful and overall good humans which is hard to come by in this day and age. We are blessed to have Katie and her staff in our lives taking care of our children while my husband and I both work and I hope you check it out and find out how wonderful it is for yourself!
