With many Christian schools, it seems that faith is put on top of curriculum, like frosting on a cake. I've seen at CVCS that faith is baked into the cake itself. IACS is a fantastic school offering arts of all kinds to students in the valley. From an all girls…read moremariachi, folkloric dance, traditional dance teams, to ceramics, drama, choir, and instruments of all kinds. There is something for everyone. The school has taken swift initiative to reduce bullying and discourage disruptive behavior. In 2023 they secured a grant to offer clubs to students in a variety of specialties (yoga, chess, robotics, photography, cheer, hydroponics etc) these clubs allow students to attend after school programs keeping them engaged and busy! If you are looking to join a school that is growing, and will collaborate with you to develop your child. I highly recommend IACS, they match your effort and are a school to watch over the next serval years (as big developments come to fruition). If you are looking for an "alternate" school due to behavioral issues, suspension, etc. this is not the place for that, UNLESS you are ready to put in the work of getting your student back on track. The best alternative school in Canyon County is Elevate if that is a good fit for your students at this time.

They hire great people who care about kids and who my kids run to hug on the way in the door and the way out at 5.45 pm after a long day. With both of us working there is no place and no people I trust my little ones to more than Kit and her crew.

We have been at Learning Tree for almost a decade as all 4 of our children have been in part-time…read moreday care there when they were in pre-school. We are fans of all the outdoor playing, field trips, phonics, holiday special events and swim lessons. Learning Tree has been around for 40 years...there are kids there whose parents went there as children. All my kids loved to go there and are amazing swimmers. It is only closed for a few holidays a year versus other pre-schools that follow the Boise School District calendar. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is that I think every place always has room for improvement.
