Watched the afternoon show of "A Pirate Looks Back". I am a huge parrothead and was a little leery if the show would give an accurate portrayal of Jimmy's life in Key West. I was not disappointed!! Caleb did an amazing job telling a short recap of Jimmy's life in KW. He is also an amazing musician and played several of Jimmy's songs where the crowd was encouraged to sing along. Your ticket includes a cheeseburger, chips and a drink. The venue is small/intimate. Caleb ended the show with "Death of an Unpopular Poet" and this Parrothead teared up. Such a fun, extremely respectful show any fan would love or even anyone wanting to experience a fun dinner/show in the afternoon while in KW!! Highly, highly recommend!! read more

Everyone.. buy tickets!! This comedy club is so great. It's literally owned by a long time local, who is also the standing opening act. Tom Dustin, he's so funny and locals love him. So when you buy a ticket here, you're supporting small business owners and key west local economy 100%! It's small, but perfect. This was an unexpected find for me while I was wandering Key West. It's a very clean, modern, and hip place with super friendly and professional service. I was surprised with this since it's a comedy club so it was cool to see that they had their shizz together! They also serve some snacks and more importantly booze. During the show, you'll have a mini tea light that you'll turn on when you need something. Simple and effective! The talent they had here was great too. These folks got it right! Great acts, like real life national headliner acts, presenting gigs on the longer end in a pretty small room. For people my age, this room is barely bigger than the Holy City Zoo used to be in its heyday during the 80's. They charge a real cover but then also charge fair prices for drinks. Staff is fast and manages to be attentive but nearly all invisible during the show. This is a model for other clubs to copy. read more

I don't write many reviews, but I love this place. My wife and I are huge comedy nerds and have attended just about every comedy club in South Florida. Comedy Key West is by FAR the best one! We live in Miami and since discovering CKW in 2021, it's become the only reason we will continue to visit Key West a few times a year. Getting to see national headliners (like Joe List, Ari Shaffir, Luis J. Gomez, Big Jay Oakerson, Shane Gillis, Doug Stanhope etc.) in such an intimate club is such a fantastically better experience than watching them at a club chain, theatre, or arena. It's something every true comedy fan should experience. The local pros are facking hysterical as well. We're as excited to hopefully see Tom Dustin, James Patterson, Gwen Filosa, or Joe Madaus perform each time we come down as we are for the headliner. Their Paint and Chug and Open Mics are also great date nights. Finally, the owners and staff are so friendly and attentive that they create a palpably happy atmosphere even before the first joke is cracked. They even get things right that the bigger clubs miss like using tiny light to signal the waitress when you're ready for another round and bringing out the checks AFTER the last comic finishes their set. By not disrupting the performance in those instances, it allows us to stay immersed in the comic's spell. I was very excited to go to a comedy show here. While some of the local talent was great, unfortunately some were sexist and relied on jokes about hitting women. Indeed, the bartender's boyfriend was the comedian who jokes about hitting women. Comedy is something we all need. Especially after so much that Covid and social isolation has brought. What we don't need is for comedians to pretend to be funny by spouting hatful, violent views toward women, hitting women is not funny. Ever. Period. read more
