I personally have not been to a defensive driving class in years - and the last time I did go you didn't have on-line options. So, following old format, I chose to go this past Saturday 28-Jan-17 to the Sugar Land location in person - and I don't regret it one bit. Ray was the trainer. He is direct, but cordial, and a very quick witted and funny guy !! He seems to enjoy doing this. He gets an A+ for his command of the class and making it funny and everyone relaxed. He kept the whole session on time and we got finished and out on time. What a blast! I enjoyed the taped commedian (Jeff Gaffigan) on the video during our off moments. I also enjoyed the marked up walls and years of comments written on the walls and ceilings from several years back. I went today to a 6 hour class. The Teacher is very funny and knows so much about Defensive Driving. I am 70 and haven't been to a class ever. I enjoyed it and Learned many new things. I highly suggest this wonderful class over doing a course online. It was fun to hear the comedy and learn SO MUCH. My Husband is planning to go in the next few months. I really feel sad that Texting and using the cell phone while driving has taken thousands of lives. I sure hope that the laws get even stricter on using a cell phone and driving is The Way to an early grave for so many young people. I highly suggest everyone to take this class. Ray, is the perfect instructor (Very Funny!!!). He allowed my wife to attend with me because I am fighting cancer and at times can become very weak. My wife loved it and signed her up as well and we both enjoyed the class. Very funny, and before you know it your involved in the class an learning something new. Before attending the in-person class, I had only taken defensive driving online. I decided to go to this class to just get it over with. If I take it online, I become a huge procrastinator as you can go at your own pace. Surprisingly, Coleman, the teacher of the class, made the time go by quickly (as much as it could for a 6 hour class) and was easy to listen to. He was friendly, engaging and made quirky jokes throughout the class. Hopefully I will never have to take defensive driving again but if I do, I would go back to this class. read more

I recently took a Comedy Driving course with Clifton Cox as my instructor on April 9th at 9 am. Mr. Cox was one of the funniest, witty, and educational professionals that I have ever met. The class was hilarious, and I actually enjoyed my time even though I had to do a defensive driving class. I would definitely recommend Comedy Driving INC to anyone who wants to do something productive and easy going rather than a boring online course or other type of course and definitely look for Mr. Cox for an instructor. 5 stars!!!!!!!!!! read more

This was much less painful than I had imagined. I even managed to stay awake the entire 6 hours! Britt Vasicek is an angel and quite entertaining. The fast pace and frequent breaks made a long class very manageable. My only complaint would be a few of the videos seemed outdated, though they may be mandated by the state and not the fault of this particular business. Even though I will never get another ticket and, hence, never need this class again, if it were to somehow happen, I would choose Comedy Driving again. read more

Now, as a 22 year old, the last thing you want to do, is get up early on your off day and take a mandatory defensive driving course. But this wasn't just any old boring defensive driving course, it was Super Dave's defensive driving course. The time went by really fast, as it usually does when you're having a good time! i was scared that the "comedy" would be cheesy and unbearable, but Ray was actually funny and did his best to keep the class awake and engaged. though it is a long class, if i ever had to take defensive driving again (which i hope i don't!!), i'll be coming back here because it's much easier to get it over with than trying to do the online course (which i have also done before)!! I really didn't want to do this whole "Defensive driving" crap at first , darn Friendswood cop, but glad I did. Not only did the 6 hours fly by but I actually enjoyed "Super Dave's" technique in combining comedy and real life situations. He got everyone involved, had hilarious videos and amazing stories. This was my most enjoyable visit to defensive driving ever! I even got to watch a bit of the Texans game on the lunch break! I learned (or relearned) a few things as well: yield signs are red, look twice for motorcycles, go to the far side of median when turning left, and that texting and driving is really dangerous! Do you spend enough time on the computer? This is the best way to get through the Defensive Driving course. I am a busy professional and the Tuesday 4-10 PM class fit my schedule. I really enjoyed the class, probably a little too much lol! Dwight was super Funny, I enjoyed listening to his jokes and his overall cool style of teaching. He touched on some very important and serious topics too (about driving) which made me appreciate the class even more. First time taking the Defensive Driving course. First speeding ticket in 52 years. I wasn't sure what to expect but was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the class. I took the class, taught by Coleman, on July 25, 2015. The class was good and very well presented. I will refer this class to friends. I would like to see Coleman check out the type of music he has played. It is not palatable to all age groups. Also, I would like to see him refrain from doing political comments. I am an 79 yr. old with hearing disablilities. Craig found me a comfortable chair in the middle of the front row. I had some trouble keeping up with his words but the videos he showed emphasized what he was communicating so it was not an issue. The room was small and windowless, but adequate. There were 17 people in attendance and he entertained us all. read more
