Media Tech grads make great employees! I've actually hired the same graduate for two totally different jobs, and he has constantly excelled at both. These people really know their stuff. They're dependable and professional, timely, and personable. In short, if you come across a resume with this Institute listed under education...move them to the top of the contenders list.

The students are not learning anything, and the staff, especially the "student services director" could not care any less. You pay 20 plus grand for a certificate and the job placement and internships are non existant. Ask them about their completion rate and they will tell you that information can not be shared. Well why not? I found out that it's about 20%. Definitely not worth it. Save your money and go to HCC. If you want to pay more to a reputable institution, go to the Arts Institute, but stay away from this trap.

From the beginning I should've known that the school is not a reputable school. They are worried about taking your money right away before giving you a curriculum or even a tour of the school. The classroom I was personally in fits 3 people and the equipment used to taught the course was all non functional. The first day was a mandatory CPR course (which i get why you need in the medical field) but all it was was showing us a video that asked us to follow the video with a dummy that we did not have. When Dr. Raymond came back in the room he taught the most basic cpr instructions on a a gross looking dummy for about 10 minutes. The classrooms were full of old unusable equipment and photos of students from the early 2000's. I learned everything straight from the book/the internet on my own. Dr. Raymond's lectures are about 10 minutes long (if you're lucky) where he says nonsensical things or reads straight from the book. I asked him questions countless times and was left more confused than before as it was like he didn't know what he was talking about. He accidentally left me a voicemail talking trash about his students with the other teacher(his wife) and how students all think they know everything. At the end of my course I took my test in person and in writing(not electronically) and did not hear back anything about my results. I finally called and was answered by a rude receptionist saying she was sure she sent me the link to my certificate. Dr. Raymond did not offer me job placement even though I made sure to ask when I signed up if that's something they did. His wife assured me that they did. Instead I got a call from him offering to pay me $9 an hour to teach his EKG course for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. (So a whopping $36 a week to teach others things I barely learned on my own) TLDR: do not go here if you want a real education. If you want to pay to go sit in a gross outdated classroom, read straight from a book everyday, and listen to the Doctor take personal phone calls while sitting in class with you trying to read about what he's about to "lecture" you on then this is the place! Also beware and ask about ALL THE FEES. As the test is not included, nor is CPR.

The instructor Allistor, was a wonderful teacher, and answered all of our questions. He was extremely patient and thoroughly identified different methods to locate veins. He also explained how to poke and draw blood using different needle gauges. Allistor was definitely a team leader and I genuinely enjoyed this course.. I was encouraged to read both the Phlebotomy Third Edition book and also the Phlebotomy Quick Study flyer. Highly Recommend taking this program!

I went there for an IT associates degree and it is a complete waste of money. All they do is teach you how to pass the CompTIA exams and overcharge you to do so. The school is so ill equipped that a smartphone is more powerful than their computers which still run on windows 8. The classes consisted of lectures with powerpoint presentation and youtube videos that you can see for free online. Eventually before they considered me a drop out they gave us access to Testout which is an online learning portal that CompTIA bought out. So after 2 years they finally had something else to help us at school without upgrading computers. Their is next to no hands on experience for a trade school nor capabilities for any other kind of in depth learning that could apply to a job, its purely CompTIA and nothing else. You will also have to continuously pay for the classes if you do not have: CompTIA A+ Core 1 CompTIA A+ Core 2 Networking+ They operate on a pass fail system. If you do not get the certification you do not pass the class no matter what and will have to pay for it all over again until you do pass and acquire the certification while using out of date technology on campus grounds. All and all its a waste of money. -You can easily get a subscription to Testout -You can watch Professor Messer on YouTube for free -You can also get courses from Udemy for cheap as well, just wait for the discounts which happen frequently There are plenty of free or cheap alternatives online that you can use instead of paying upwards of 25k+ to come to this college just to use these the above mentioned.

The 8 weeks spent in the class definitely prepared me for the CompTIA CySA+ exam. The material was both relevant and up to date, the class structure was well organized, and the instructor was knowledgeable, professional and on time for every class. Not only did the class prepare for the exam it also prepared me for each job interview I had, and instrumental in me landing my new job. I am very pleased that I had the opportunity to take the class through Milestone Technical Institute. The experience was very rewarding. I highly recommend them for others.

I used my GI Bill to update my skills and collect some benefits while I was searching for a new job. Eddie was very helpful in making sure I was enrolled (so he could line his pocket) but won't return my emails or phone calls now. I joined a MCSA/MCSE Server 2012 course that had the most incompetent instructor I ever met. On top of that, there were people in the class that had no reason being there nor in the IT industry. The students were enrolled in an A+ course prior to the MCSA beginning and 95% of those students didn't even pass the A+ test. But somehow they were still in an advanced class. Long story short. I learned absolutely nothing as the instructor couldn't get pass basic tasks because most of the students didn't know how to change an IP address. I had to take this course again because it was just that bad at Milestone. I still have 3 Microsoft vouchers that Milestone refuses to return to me. I've called, left multiple VMs, and sent emails (to Eddie and Mercy) that were never returned. This facility should not be GI Bill approved. I see this as fraud, waste, and abuse of government funds and they will be reported. I'm also pretty sure they aren't certified as Microsoft instructors as Microsoft wouldn't allow any company to provide such inferior content to their trainees. Use at your own risk! FYI, no one will hire you and/or take you seriously if you are getting certs and are not in the IT industry. People like that and the Milestone Institue bring down the value of the education that so many of us work hard for.

She has a way of making everyone feel comfortable, even when inexperienced. Although I have been an EMT for over 17 years, it's been a long time since I was in a classroom setting and appreciated how she tailored some aspects of the core curriculum to my needs. Her teaching style is clear, hands-on, and full of patience. She doesn't just teach the material she makes sure you understand it, feel confident in it, and knows how to apply it in the real world. And if you mess up, she's right there with encouragement and guidance, never judgment. If you engage in active listening, show up on time (every time) and practice safe lab procedures you will ace the class with no problem. Take it seriously, phlebotomy is the first line in medical care. I would highly recommend and may reach out in the future to see if there are any opportunities to work alongside her at the school in the future.
