The Maguire Academy of Irish Dance is an amazing supportive, fun, and challenging environment and is accepting of everyone from those who have never danced before to those who have been dancing for years. If you're thinking about starting, or are moving to the area from another school, I highly, highly recommend giving Maguire a try!

Most places want you to have real experience. However, one bartender suggested I do it to get the feel for pouring drinks & learn the basics. He also mentioned they do job placement. Although they didn't help me find a bar job, they provided a long list of places that may be hiring. I loved my experience at bar school! The program is two weeks long. You attend Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 5 or 6 to 9:30 p.m. Jack is a pretty cool instructor, and he knows his stuff. They have 14 stations. I was happy to be part of the afternoon class. It was small, and I still keep in touch with half of my classmates. I started applying for bar jobs the following week after receiving my letter of recommendation & certificate. I landed my 1st bartending job a month later. I also started a mobile bartending business & I have my first gig booked.

I will say with tuition food service. At first the food service was horrendous. My child would come home and be starving all the time. Choices were almost all Asian. They finally got a great chef and the kids were coming home and raving. Now it seems they for whatever reason have changed or released the chef or company that was handling it. To say this least I am very disappointed in whoever made that decision. All week my child has come home complaining.

Instructions are sent to your email for acess to the building. The equipment on site was a pair of CDJ 3000s and a DJM S11 as the mixer. Pretty much premium high quality equipment. Room can accommodate up to 5 people, but might be a little tight. 24/7 line is available if you need it. I will definitely be back for another session. You save if you book more than 4 hrs.I would probably book an extra 30 mins for setup and takedown. Gives you a chance to figure out new equipment and get your bearings before you start jamming. Only minor downsides: Lounge and store was closed when I went in on a Saturday morning. That's ok I snacked ahead of time, but I wanted some merch to support. I'd recommend maybe putting up "exit/entry only" signs on the parking lot gates. When leaving, I sat waiting for the gate to open, but then I just reversed my car and went to the other gate. I am definitely booking more sessions in the future.

To address the issue: there was a director (who was there about 2 years), and has since been let go (late 2024). She wasn't great. The new director, Kaylen, is fantastic - professional, strives for parental involvement, brings structure. My child attended four years. I can't say enough about the teachers; they give so much of themselves to the students. They work so hard on their curriculum. They love the children. We've found such a sweet little community in this school. I always tell friends that it's a hidden gem, but it shouldn't be! It's centrally located, right by the med center and incredibly convenient for parents who work there. The building has large classrooms, two playgrounds, a gym, a library, a sanctuary, and a large communal area for events. So consider this a review to address the haters. But also one of praise for such a special little place that I would hate to see suffer because people never gave it a chance.

All the teachers were wonderful and supportive. They loved my daughter, and you could really tell were as excited about her growth and learning as we were. If it's raining, the kids still get to move around by either going on buggy rides through the building or playing in the big gym. They did tons of arts and crafts, and I cherish all the handprint art. After we moved across town we still drove all the way to FCS for 10 months, that's how you know it's good! I recommend the school to my friends.

Expect a special event/party for every major holiday (soooo cute to see the kids happy and excited) it's a small 60-64 student school so the attention each staff member gives to every child is wonderful! They are education based (not 100%play based) which is great bc they prepare your child for Kindergarten. There's plenty of play time as well but they teach them to be independent and learn abc, numbers and most importantly being kind and polite and treating each other w respect. They do chapel time once a week and pray before they eat which is amazing! If you are lucky enough to attend this school you won't regret it! (There's always a waiting list)
