The grounds are very clean and well kept, and the interior is spacious and open, ready to welcome all who venture there. Most contact went through FCCC's wedding coordinator Timberley. She was so helpful with all our questions and concerns. We hit a snag with the music CD (the AV system couldn't play our mp3 files), but she was able to make it work by converting the audio files. On our days on-site, she was very patient and readily available. Our minister Joel was great; he was such a warm person and was very easy to talk to. We enjoyed that he took the time to get to know us as individuals, even if that meant weekend evenings to accommodate our schedules. Overall, we have nothing negative to say about our experience with FCCC. The people, the site, everything was lovely!

Then we found out there was never any intention to build a church, it was just a money making scam from the start. The feeling of being defrauded is one that will sit with us for years. Lots of people have since left, because of this reason if the promised church that never happened. No attempt was ever made to offer any of the money back when the land was sold to another church! I beleive she is the best teacher around this area for this age. This school has many many positive aspects but I will sort some of them. 1- There are too many staff and teachers for kids. Kids are always supervised by at least 2 teacher. Sometimes you can see 3 or 4 teachers/aides in a class. 2- Quality of toys and playground is very high. They add new features to the playground all the time, which kids love. 3- The teachers are really professional, dedicated to their jobs. And they really LOVE kids. 4- They have amazing activities like bringing fire truck team, SWAT team. 5- There are a lot of activities for kids during the day. Kids are always learning and playing. The only thing is that, they don't provide food for kids. You need to prepare lunch and snacks. If you child is a picky eater that may be even better for you to prepare his/her lunch. By the time we got to the peace, half of the church had introduced themselves and wanted to know who I was. So, for the first time since I moved here 10 years ago, I have real friends at church. I'm just not another guy in the pew. There's tons of young families, lots of kids, and activities (most of which provide licensed childcare). A typical month has several dinners, a wine study & bible tasting (that's not a misprint), classes, and a tennis league. Whatever age, nationality, orientation, and whether you have kids or not, they want you to feel welcome and a part of the community, and there's stuff for you to do in addition to worship. The pastor is great, but it's the whole community that makes St. Catherine's home for us. It just feels right.

The Wednesday chapel service is lead by the secondary students. The power of prayer throughout the school. My son struggled the first year here but he's teacher dedicated herself to stay after school and work with him. We love the opportunity the school gives the students in going into other countries to spread the love of Jesus. We had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and soon Bahamas. It's an opportunity that my daughter will never forget. Small classes give the teachers opportunity to work one on one with the students. Definitely worth it!!!

There was zero teaching and principal experience with the replacement and would barely qualify as a kindergarten teacher in the public system. They openly talk about underpaying teachers which explains the lack of quality in how they teach. The executive director is extremely arrogant and rude and criticized our student in the most demeaning way via email that would cost any public school employee their job. I would research the qualifications of the new head of school before considering West Lake. I don't see the value in paying $18,000 for a school that is run by someone that is nowhere near qualified.
