There are dozens of milk tea places scattered all over HK, so most of them just blur together as they all look alike. Come Buy was an exception. We had just finished a large dinner and walked by here to and had to stop in because of the beautiful the decor and set up.
They have about a dozen or so giant canister of loose leaves tea behind the prep area, where they would grind the tea and then put them through their teapresso machine, treating it like an espresso based drinks. We were too full from dinner but made it a point to stop by the following day. I opted for their higher end tea and added the taro and sweet potato balls. My friend had the oolong milk tea and added the taro and sweet potato balls as well. My drink was fairly expensive, more than double the cost of a regular tea drink elsewhere. The price did justify the higher quality tea though. The taro and sweet potato balls tasted of real taro/sweet potato and each and every ball was thoroughly cooked to perfection.
It was really cool to watch the beautiful teapresso machine in action. A definite recommendation if you want to splurge on high quality tea with your boba. read more
