I've giving Comcast's Technical Services a thumbs up. We lost power in the last big snowstorm and I used a battery back up unit to power my modem and actually enjoyed the Internet despite having no power for the day. But the next day the Internet speed had started to crawl to less than dial up speeds and keep dropping connections. One minute it would be good, then crawling, then nothing. I called the technical line and they ran me through all of the obvious things like checking the connection and restarting the modem. I thought it has to be the line. So they sent out a guy to the house who checked everything out. He noticed some levels were off so he authorized a line guy to come out (who was there in a few hours), he also went up on a ladder to check out the lines on the pole. The line guy came and noticed a few loose screws and tamped down the levels to where they should be. Meanwhile, the inside guy tried out his modem and laptop on my inside connection and was getting some great speeds. So it probably was a combination of some line issues but mainly the modem was failing. I ordered a new modem and router to replace the single unit gateway that was using and BOOM I started getting all of the speed I was paying for. So much for the $200 gateway (modem and router combined) I purchased thinking I was future proofing my setup. I replaced it with an $89 modem and $100 router. Maybe this way if one goes I can just replace a single, less expensive piece. read more

Have not received a bill in the mail for the past four months and each month I called them, and they told me it was mailed! Today I made my fifth call about this simple customer service problem and got the same response and assurance that going forward I will receive a bill in the mail. Time will tell!!! read more

lousy customer service went in to drop one channel and to lower internet speed first trip it took 25 min i was told my problem was fixed and i would not have too loose any channels and would save money. i lost s4veral of the channels i watched the most but not any of the many crappy ones they could not pay me to watch. rather than drive the 40 min back to the store i called the phone number for the store in leb only to get someone in another country who could only here me part time and was no help but did say they would call me back but never did. i made a second 40 min trip to the store this time i talked to another man who after 30 min told me he had fixed the problem also i would save even more money than the first guy and get most of my channel back i did not. the third time i went back i again talked to the man i talked to the first time this time he did fix most of my problems i get my channels back but none of the great savings they talked about and my caller id no longer shows on my tv a problem for the next time. there internet is great tv is great when it is right but service you might as well talk to trained monkeys . read more

I have no comment about our local office as I have not been there. However .. there is no number to call for help when I googled. when I call the 800 # on my bill their automated system is TERRIBLE! You cannot speak with a human!! My husband has been seriously thinking of switching and I've always said no.. NOW I'm on board!! You really need to address your automated system so people can actually talk with a HUMAN if they'd like. Not everyone likes to work with automated systems! Comcast is a monopoly here. So, obviously, it provides third-world-level service. Internet speeds are a joke, sometimes worse than 1990s style dialup. Prices are higher than anywhere else I've been. I do have to say, our bills have been accurate, and the phone reps have been honest. The monopoly thing (and expensive bad service) sucks for users, and also sucks for businesses, schools, access to goods and services, and the Upper Valley economy in general. It makes the Upper Valley seem like an economically depressed backwater, which I suppose it is, actually. Hint: If you do use Comcast/Xfinity, don't rent a cable modem from them. Just buy your own cable modem for $100 or so. Renting is ridiculously expensive, and worse, Comcast secretly piggybacks wireless hotspots on their rental modems. That means other people can access the internet through your modem, and your own already-slow cable line. Which you have to pay for! If you own your own modem/router, they can't do that. read more

My bill has gone up from $60 to $70 now to $80 and no reason why and when I call it's just pass me around like a sushi bar to talk to different people. I had a problem months ago too with my internet due to it going out every night and I mean every night at the same time where I had to restart my modem and after a hour I was told it was all fixed just like that so I gave up on it but service is not worth the cost and headache read more

At the moment I am not impressed. I have always dealt directly at 166 Hanover Street in Lebanon with Stacy who was terrific. Her 603 phone line which she gave me now says don't leave a message because it will not be heard, but then immediately prompts you to leave a message....?!? I didn't, but how confusing is that? Then the 1-800 number gives me auto instructions, none of which apply to what I want to do. My service is simply in holiday mode and I am returning soon and just want my full service to be turned back on (I still been pay a reduced rate while away despite no usage). I just want to talk to a human being.....@#!?*%#@?! read more

worst customer service ever. my service was out for a few days. i called to see why? without any provocation the rep would say they didn't like the way i was talking to them and would disconnect the call. all i asked for was reimbursment for the days the iinternet was down! when they said they could not credit the account i asked for the supervisor and the rep would say he/she was waiting for an available supervisor but what a wait!! then when i questioned the long wait they disconnected me .shortly after complaing about service i received an increase of 25$ on my bill, what?? i cancelled my service read more

My problem is not with the local office, it's with Comcast. I got a notice in my bill saying my rate was going up significantly, called the customer service number and got a very nice rep, but she could do absolutely nothing to help. The more I tried to remove from the package I have the higher the price got. It's all about their bundles. How in the world do they get away with this? read more

Very poor customer service I have been a customer for 25+ years I have ask for new equipment my cable box is over 5 years old same as my Internet modem my monthly bill is 175.00 plus. Call the customer service no help local office both ladies where both inconvenienced. If I could they would get no stars. Maybe if there was more competition maybe they would try harder. read more
