Comcast/Xfinity is the WORST. I have spent HOURS on the phone simply trying to straighten out the mess they made of my mom's account when she moved across town. Its so hard to reach an actual person, but I persevered. All 14 people I eventually talked to said our problem was solved, only to later discover a new problem. I told them to port her old number over and they screwed that up too. Now my 93 year old mother is having to remember a new phone number! Inexcusable, this terrible customer service! Went in to try to get a line for my iPhone 8. They put in a SIM card with the number for my 2nd phone. I asked if this would disrupt that phone and was told no. It did. Cell service was turned off. Tried again and the phone could make calls but couldn't receive them. After an hour of trying to make it work they said to take the phone to Apple. I asked them to cancel the new line and they said they would. Sure enough my next bill has the third line charges. read more

ILLEGAL UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES - FRAUDULENTLY ENTERED ME INTO CONTRACT WITHOUT MY CONSENT I chatted with an agent about a payment extension. After the payment extension was processed the chat agent asked about changing my legacy NOT ON CONTRACT plan. I said "No Thank You" after reviewing the proposed changes and ended the chat. Moments later I get a confirmation via email saying that my plan had been changed.  AGAIN WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. I immediately call Xfinity and the tech support team found that the email address used for this plan change is not one that is on my account nor have I ever heard of the email address. The chat agent used his personal email address to commit this FRAUD on 8/28/2023. Nothing has been done to fix this. I am ready to SUE XFINITY for their chat agent fraudulently entering me into a contract and changing my plan without my consent. read more

I have been without internet for 2weeks. Unable to speak with representatives due to the circle of the automated system. Today I finally have someone on the line and the have no clue other than to tell me there is an outage. Asked to speak to a manager and I het transferred from 1agent to the next 4x's. The last guy was Internet retention I asked to speak with his manager he has transferred me and it is showing a 14 minute wait and now someone from billing has picked up. I had Comcast van #96875 cut me off and had me slamming on my brakes (got video). on Hwy 6 near sugarland TX. comcast has no complaint line where you can talk to an agent or supervisor. I guess when their driver causes an accident and gets seriously injured (rigs don't do fender benders) the police will have to contact them since the public can't. read more

I've had my beefs with Comcast before. Details regarding my thoughts about their service, specifically, is in another review. This review is for the store that I come to waaay too often because I'm constantly flipping out faulty equipment. We seem to gobble up modems faster than my son goes through a tub of dill pickle popcorn. The same "Aw, damn!" feeling of exasperation is felt when you realize the popcorn's gone, just as you realize you've got to ONCE AGAIN return to Comcast because your modem has died. 1 star earned for being open on Saturday. LONG line. LONG wait. Ugh. 1 star earned for having "Frozen" playing on your large-screen TV to entertain us while we watched you move as slowly as molasses in frozen January behind the counter. 1 star earned for giving me a replacement without a hassle. 1 star taken away for giving your customers OLD equipment that doesn't last, requiring us to come back and return it. I replaced my modem this past June. Don't want the wireless one, since I have my own router set up with my own network. The modem never worked well from the get-go, but within the past 6 weeks, it kept losing power randomly. Plugging it into a different outlet didn't help. If you barely touched the modem, it lost power. Enough! Searching on the internet for this model, I found out it was manufactured over 4 years ago. Old equipment! What I received today was semi-shrink wrapped with a rubber band around the power cord. No doubt it, too, was returned by a customer. Let's see when I get to go back to Comcast to watch another movie and trade equipment. What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon. PFFT. read more

While I'm not a fan of ANY of the television/cable/internet providers, I have to give it to Comcast. At least they have a storefront where you can speak to a real human, in person -- face to face. I cannot stand calling up, pressing 1 then 2 then 1 then 3 then click -- you're accidentally disconnected. Regardless of my opinion of the company as a whole, I love this convenience. Yes, the lines can get long, but I can't fault anyone else for not wanting to call. I had an issue that I know would have taken me several calls. The employee put me in touch with her manager who immediately resolved my problem. All of the employees were extremely friendly, unlike the agents that I've seen on the news. Anytime I have a non-technical issue where I need to speak to a real person, I will always come here! read more

So I've been a customer for over 5 years now and I've been in this home I'm in now for a year. They finally put a awesome dog proof box over my cables in the back yard after multiple workers said they would and didnt. But this morning I woke to a Xfinity worker at the door. Didnt even have my contacts in. And he didnt speak hardly any english, waving something around saying he needed to get into the back. I let him in the back, get my contacts in. And notice he starts DRILLING in to my box! (The guy who put the box in said any Xfinity worker should have a key!) This guy brings out a crow bar to basically break my box open and I got mad and stopped him. Customer service wasnt answering fast enough, the guy had me speak to his partner over the phone who spoke english. And when the partner heard how mad I was and if they were going to put another box on, as soon as they got off the phone he grabbed his things and fled. Left this nice hole in my box. Customer service said they reported it and ill hear back within 2 days. read more

the internet service was good in the beginning, (5+ year customer), but eventually the internet service was unsatisfactory... the internet was slow to no service at times. Multiple pleas (countless hours on the phone with them), and technician visits did not resolve the issue. So I reluctantly left (again after MANY years). I did not have a contract (if I did it most likely expired after the 1st year of service). So I turned in my equipment and followed up to pay my bill (because I always pay my bills), and Xfinity adds a $90 fee for breaking a contract. When I called asking for a copy of the so called contract, the Xfinity rep response was, "There's nothing that can be done that fee is applied to anyone who cancels with them" I asked isn't there something in the contract that entitles me to the service I am paying for?? Her response was the same, obviously reading from a script. So fine Xfinity I will pay you the $90 a fee you obviously swindle from customers who realize there ARE alternatives to your service. Be warned fellow customer, the reps are great... however the service you pay for is not. And one way or another Xfinity will find a way to make you pay for something they could not provide. read more

I've never had major issues with Comcast. I with they were cheaper is my main compliant. We went in to change to a cheaper plan and only had to wait about 3 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. They have comfy couches and a TV on. We were only able to save $20 a month and had to sign up on a contract but it's better than nothing. I'm rating for the service at this location not the overall service of Comcast. read more

Called requesting expiration date of contract, due to not listed on bill and not listed on account online, was 1 hour and 20 minutes for a simple request. I was told to go to a store to have them print my contract, I was sent links to agreements that had nothing to do with my contract, I was told repeatedly to "diagnose" my payment, asked for an explanation, what the customer service meant by "diagnose" payment, finally realized she meant to do a analysis of payments to determine when my bill increased. She requested I do a lot of things that would take hours to days when was such a simple request to provide customer, what date does my contract expire? Don't recommend Xfinity/Comcast. After on phone 1 hour and 20 minutes, I attempted to return equipment in store, was told a 20min wait. Not easy to cancel service and return equipment. Don't recommend Comcast. read more

Comcast apparently trains their customer service people to lie to you. Before my service goes down again for the 7-8th time in 5 days, I have heard all sorts of excuses about the problems this week. I generally don't provide feedback, but one person told me today that there was scheduled maintenance every day starting Sunday (this is Thursday) and thought I would be stupid enough to believe that it wouldn't go down tomorrow because she said there was nothing online about more scheduled service. So I called again and got another agent, who told me that it was an unexpected outage (he had no reason why there were unexpected outages over 5 days). Completely infuriated with Comcast Xfinity! I transferred my services from one building to the building literally behind me! It took being on the phone for TWO hours with both an agent & a manager, for them to not find a solution as to why neither my WiFi or cable isn't working, but to also tell me that I'd have to wait until APRIL 3 to have a tech come out! That's an entire WEEK from now! You mean to tell me I just paid you guys $230 two days ago, to not have service for a week?! I then ask the supervisor what he can do for me in order to keep my business, and he replied "I can issue you a $25 credit, as well as waive the tech fee." Excuse me?! $25 for an entire week of no service. If a week of service is worth $25 then why isn't my bill $100?! And as far as that tech fee goes, charging me shouldn't have even been a thought. I know Comcast has a very strong reputation of having horrible customer service and I saw this location had two stars so I was very worried. All I had to do was exchange my router since one of the channels was bad. I was told all I need to do is bring it up and then swap it out. I was very skeptical about this because Comcast on the phone has generally been awful. Five stars given may seem like a lot however when I walked in I was greeted with hello from two of the associates that were in the store. Now there was no one else there so that's probably why I was in and out in under 4 minutes. I joked around with the lady at the counter she was very nice and swap my router out in the snap of a finger no extra up selling. I have needed to do this exchange for quite some time but I was dreading it cuz I thought it would be like pulling teeth. It was not this location made this a very smooth. read more

Just an unbelievably bad series of experiences. 7 phone calls and 2 emails to transfer from my personal account to a new bulk account. 3 calls over 3 months to get my open credit balance returned to me. Unfortunately, They calculated the open balance incorrectly and overpaid me by $30. That day, without informing us, they charged us a finance charge because we owed them $30. We didn't find out about their mistake until 5 weeks later when they turned off our service. then we hear about their mistake and that there is a second finance charge (because we didn't pay the open balance on-time ... ie the balance they didn't tell us about to begin with). No apology - in fact they were fishing for a Thank-You for fixing their mistake and wasting my time - as if they had a choice to reverse the finance charges. Could go on with this story for quite a while. read more

These people send out inexperienced people with attitudes to our house. The inexperienced people mess up our security system. We don't have home security for a few days. These people bring someone else out here who is ALSO inexperienced, and tell us that it will cost us $70 to fix the mess that they made. Also customer service will just disconnect your call when they don't know what to do. read more

Their cable service is ok, and I love the internet service. But, there are never any more than two people working at the six service counters. Which makes for very long waits if you need help from something with a soul. read more

So nice to experience good service from Comcast. I've never had a good experience from their in home appointments, but this piece of their service works great. Their home appointments often have you waiting for people who don't show up and phone calls to solve the problem are difficult. It's been a while. Maybe it has gotten better more recently. Terrible!!!! Just down right bad! I have been with comcast for years! I started xfinity 3 1/2 years ago. When I moved to my house after a year my 24 month contract started over. (Which they never explained) now it's time to move and they are saying I am in a 36 month contract, which is crap. I have called and called trying to reach a supervisor not once in 3 weeks have they returned my calls I pay $200 a month service and they can't call me back. I even asked them to fax or email me a copy of the contract with my signature showing it saying I'm in a 36 month contract. This company doesn't care about its customers. But be late on your payment they will blow your phone up. I feel I work hard for my money and I refuse to spend my cash with a company that can't take care of the customer! read more

Horrible experience. We moved to Cypress from Sugar Land where we had been customers for many, many years. From day one at the new house, we had intermittent problems. We have the triple play, so on any given day the internet, TV or phone would be down. Sometimes all three and sometimes just the internet. Service would drop for 30 minutes and then the modem would reboot. This went on for a month. They would send someone to the house and they would scratch their head, pretend to do something and leave. Same problems. I tried escalating to a manager, and after several attempts, they called when I wasn't home and they left a message. They kept giving me credits which totaled $175. Not bad, but still no reliable service. Finally a guy shows up and decides to run a new cable from the outside box to the house. It worked. Two days later another comes out to bury the line and he severs my sprinkler line. He fixes it, but come on Xfinity get your act together. read more

Xfinity/Comcast is the most hated company in the U.S.A. for a reason, they've earned it! After months of crummy service (including internet that would work, then not work - which then caused my home security system to call & notify me on a daily basis that someone was breaking into my home when they were not), I was forced to go with a different provider. They then had the nerve to send a $750 early termination fee to collections & the credit bureaus! Since it was beyond the allowed 30 day period of cancelling early, they said they had no choice, so they expected me to continue paying for service I did not receive, what a joke. Here it is nearly 2 years later & even though I keep disputing it with the credit bureaus, it keeps coming back. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! read more

As I disconnect all the cables and place them back on in hopes of "resetting" for the umpteenth time my internet. And this is just today! All the negative press is true. We just moved to Houston and decided to go with Comcast for net/TV. From the start it was a disaster. We scheduled an install date 10 days in advance. The guy came out 1 minute before the higher range of the 4 hour install time - likely hanging out in his car till he had to come in to avoid the $20 late fee. He then took 1.5 hours to come to us and tell us he couldn't install the service because there was no cable run from the street to the house (new construction), and that it would take 10-14 days to get a crew out to run the cable, and only then could they install cable for us. First off, if this is an issue, why not ask the customer when they sign up if it is new construction and if so, schedule the correct crew accordingly? Second, how did it take 90 MINUTES to determine there was no cable line in the back of the house??? Fast forward 2 weeks and the cable is in the back of the house and the Comcast person comes back to install for install period 8-9am. I get a call at 815 (I had given them my wife's number to call since I would be at work) and don't answer it. I see the missed call and voicemail at 825 telling me that since they couldn't verify I was home via phone they were going to reschedule my appointment. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO RING THE DOORBELL. I call Comcast support back up at 825 and explain it to them and they twiddle their thumbs for 15 minutes before they tell me the tech would be back out before 10am which should be OK. Get a call from the tech at 930 saying he is 30 minutes away, but he's not sure if he can do the job because he's not qualified. TWO HOURS LATER the tech finally shows up and starts the install. In the mean time I yelled at Comcast on the phone and asked for compensation for all the trouble, their lack of planning, and wasted time (wife had to take off work to be home). They said they could give me a $20 "late" credit and waive the $50 install fee (which is free with other providers anyway) and that there was nothing else they could do. Comcast is willing to lose a customer who could give them $5500 in revenue over 3 years (or more) over couple months credit up front to show good faith that their service isn't as terrible as everyone says? The tech is out there installing it now. God forbid he can't install it, because Comcast will lose a customer for sure. This is a complete outrage. read more

Comcast is not creditable. We have had a tap (where the service comes in from the main line) issue that was diagnosed by a manager at the location for over two years. After calling Comcast to request the tap replacement we received the run around. Once we threatened to quit the service for poor service....we were threatened with a cancellation fee.....Comcast isn't worth the time, headache, and trouble! We will be changing to another provider asap! read more

Comcast has the worst customer service. They do not stand behind their service calls and they lie. A person has to sit at home all day for a tech to come out as if the customers doesn't matter and then on top of that they have these foreigners on the other end of the phone that don't understand you and you can't understand them. Furthermore they do not have the respect to inform the customers regarding their service call, they just up and cancel a scheduled service call and when the customers calls to see what happened they say I have a note here the the appt was canceled. read more

Comcast has given me the worst cable service I have ever experienced. It started with the install, They only got one TV working, they had to come back that night to get the second TV working, and I had to call in to get the 3rd TV to have sound. Then we discover that we are not getting the channels we are supposed to, that we signed up for and we're paying for, that took an hour and a half to get fixed over the phone. Then about 2 months after that, one of the boxes stops working, so I meet them, again at my house, since they couldn't fix it over the phone, of course the only appointments available are during my work hours (more vacation hours wasted on Cable). Their equipment has stopped working, the repair man, says they constantly have troubles with that model of box not working, I then get a bill for their repair man to come to my house and fix their crappy equipment which they know is junk, even though on the phone they told me the service repair would be free. I finally decided I'd had enough I'd rather have no cable and internet then deal with this company anymore.... I then drop off the equipment at their facility in which they claim they cannot close the account there, I must call in, I call in and they try to tell me that they cannot close my account and that I needed to do it at the facility in which I had dropped of the equipment. The incompetence of this company is astounding. I finally got it closed out by phone, but seriously recommend that no one use this company for cable. read more
