That happened, so I returned and he quickly fixed it again. Unfortunately, I made a bad TV choice and the issue stuck no matter what. He advised me not keep trying as it wasn't worthwhile financially. However, he offered me a credit for one of the used TVs he was selling, which was a great deal. In short, he has the expertise to fix what can be fixed, and the caring to take care of you (not just try to rack up a bill for himself). Very fair, friendly and helpful.

So what this guy did was charge me diagnostics charges despite me telling him what exactly was wrong and he confirmed I was correct. I left the cd player there believing it was not worth additional repairs. It was a sony cd player that stored 300. A month later I called sony and told them about this and they told me no such thing needed be done just because the belt broke. I found out that my CD player actually was worth 1200.00 as a classic being sold on amazon and that was what led me to call sony. I found out that he shorted out the pre-amp on my amp when he took it apart.

They also charged me for equipment that they never told me about and didn't need. Some of these charges were credited but some were not. These people will not honor their promises. Absolutely do not give Directv your business unless you have, in writing, what the charges are going to be. If I know how much Directv really costs I would've stayed with my cable company since, if I had signed a contract with cable, it would actually have been cheaper. My opinion of Directv customer service is an absolute "thumbs down" and not worth the money.

I saw their true colors on how they didn't care and they didn't want to fix the issue. Also, ASTOUND kept saying they don't have this information on the quote. I sent their own email to them 3 times with no resolution. I believe all the bad reviews on this and other websites. ASTOUND is merging with another company if you haven't heard. ASTOUND has 3 emails from me so they have the documentation. I asked to speak to a manager and they said 24 to 48 hours wait. I have notified the Better Business Bureau as well as the Secretary of State Office in Massachusetts with complaints about their deceptive sales practices and fraud. Customer Service said we see $0 dollars in our system since you haven't received your bill. How can Astound expect people to accept a service without a quote. I was quoted 4 free cable boxes and remotes and that wasn't honored. Overall, the worst experience ever and happy I am not going to be a customer. Clearly, they don't care about the customer and don't know how to provide sales quotes. Don't believe their sales since they will charge you a separate price. Be aware, you are not locked in for 5 years on the price. That is only internet, so be prepared for large increases. DONT TRUST ASTOUND SALES OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have until now overlooked the increasing random fees and surcharges and their suggestions to call back repeatedly to try to negotiate a better price. What I cannot overlook is the horrible internet speeds we get. I call and complain to an Rcn representative almost on a daily basis. Every time I call and I run a speed test all of the sudden I'm getting crazy high speed internet. Then a few hours later I'm lucky if I get 5mbps connection. Attached are some examples. I have much more documentation of this phenomenon where one wonders if they're running a "rob Peter to pay Paul" scheme and don't actually have infrastructure to support all their customers.
