Service breaks up constantly, internet stalls often, the box itself has to reboot more often than…read morenot. The remotes rarely work and when they do you often have to push buttons more than a few times each. If you have an HD t.v. the box will automatically redirect you to those channels whether or not you want to. Ugh service is ok, They first quoted us a price then upon calling to set up a time and date for set up, retracted the original amount and hiked it up another 20 bucks a month. Once I'd mentioned that and we (my husband & I) had a go about for an hour over the phone and got ahold of managers and sales people etc. Etc. We ended up in retention the first call around so they offered us better pricing then tried to take it back later. After fighting for our original cost back, we did receive it. And then the tech completely diagnosed my situation, and his prescription, upgrade from Win 95 to Win 98, completely fixed everything. After I graduated from VCU, I needed my own high-speed internet service at home. Access Tech set me up with Clear, which was only down a few hours, during thunderstorms, maybe 3 times in 5 years. Then Clear was bought out by a big cell phone company, that kicked them off their network for more cell service. Now I have hosting for my web comic site through Access Tech, and they even created an updated, improved version of my site for me. Their service has been everything I've ever wanted.

Yes - he locked me into a lower rate as well. I was careful to say that I wanted to retain my existing services. Instead, he canceled my flex tv box and I didn't notice the line item difference as I wasn't necessarily looking for it given our conversation. I wasn't aware until I drove home to Virginia and couldn't connect to my TV. I contacted a chat agent first and got absolutely nowhere. I explained the whole situation and they replied by asking me to explain the situation. Oof. So I requested a call instead. The phone rep was lovely and spent 15 minutes working to restore my access. However, since the Jersey rep had turned off my flex box and it was an older model, she told me I'd need to visit a Comcast store to attain a newer box. That brought me to the Xfinity store in Short Pump last night. After a decent wait, the overworked, clearly exhausted rep helped me swap out my box. Just now, I tried to install it and guess what? Xfinity provided me with the dustiest, hairiest (yes, human hair) old Xumo box. That didn't include an HDMI cable as the box claimed it would. Sorry, but where's the quality control? Luckily I know someone who has an extra HDMI cable and can give it to me tomorrow, so Xfinity won't feel my immediate rage but seriously? So many screw ups, nothing easy for the customer. If I had to drive another 40 minutes (there and back) to get a freaking cable, I would've lost my mind. None of this should have happened. And their prices shouldn't be so dang high that we have to negotiate a lower rate every couple of years either. Not to mention, remember when companies would offer credits for issues like these? Ha. I came into the store at 5:45 PM on Tuesday, January 13th, because my phone was intermittently disconnecting from Wi-Fi and briefly showing "SOS." My phone was fully functional before I arrived -- I could make calls, text, and use data both on and off Wi-Fi. Matthew told me he would "try" to fix the issue but that Apple might be needed if he couldn't. Without clearly explaining the risks, he deleted my eSIM, and then was unable to reconnect it. He called customer support, and after nearly three hours, just before the store closed at 8 PM, I was told they had done "all they could." At that point, I was informed that: * My phone was now completely unusable * I could either wait until Thursday to get a replacement OR * Upgrade and buy a new phone immediately At no point was I told that "your phone will not work at all" was even a possible outcome of this visit. I explained that I was far from home, had no GPS, and now had no way to get back safely. I had to call my grandmother to come pick me up. What happened next was unacceptable... Because the store was closing, Matthew treated me as if I were an inconvenience. He told me that unless I wanted to buy a new phone, I would need to wait in my car, and if I needed anything I could "bang on the door." After spending three hours in the store only to leave with a phone in worse condition than when I arrived, I was essentially kicked out so he could leave on time. This was dismissive, unsafe, and wildly unprofessional. My family and I have been loyal T-Mobile customers since 2000, and this experience alone has seriously damaged my trust in the company.
