Second time coming here and dining in. Came in tonight with a group of seven. The overall feel was a bit chaotic. Must have been busy time for pizza. We seated ourselves and decided to all order individually. I went with the bbq chicken pizza and an order of combo sticks (garlic bread sticks) oh and a few brews. ($2.50 during happy hour 4pm-9pm) they even had a beer from near by Bootleggers Brewery. My pizza came out in a timely fashion. However, the bread sticks never arrived. Several others in our group didn't get their food. When they asked the lady working she was embarrassed that we didn't get what we ordered. One person in my groups pizza wasn't even started 40 minutes after ordering. He was given a full refund and a free pizza. I also got a refund for the bread and was still given an order of bread for free. Now let's get to what really mattered, the pizza. My BBQ pizza was great. No complaints what so ever. Cooked perfectly and had loads of flavor. I later tried some of my friends carne Asada pizza and it was amazing. It was a little on the spicy side, which I do like. It reminded me of a taco. Very unique and very good. I felt like DJ Khaled and kept going for Anotha One! Even though we had some issues. The management was fantastic in making up for it. The four star is based off of the experience ordering online. If we were rating the food and in-person service it would be a 5 star. We ordered online and it showed that food would be delivered within 45 minutes. After 90 minutes of waiting we called and they said that it was an online order (even though the message we received showed it would be delivered). We wound up driving to the restaurant and they prepared new pizzas and fresh salads for us and gave us a discount. They were extremely apologetic. The food was fantastic and being from the East Coast, I appreciate pizza. This one was really good. Next time, I would probably just go in person to order. Combos deserves its 4 stars and would probably get 5 if they didnt forget my chicken :( i ordered a large spaghetti w meat sauce and a chicken cesar salad. Also got a side of ranch because you know, ranch. Spaghetti was good sauce was good w decent spice ( they give you the option of spicy or mild sauce, i got spicy) Good stuff enough to feed 2 and probably only a couple bucks more than if i bought all the ingredients and made it myself. Salad was good crisp romaine decent parm but WHERE WAS MY CHICKEN!?? ha I definitely paid the 2$ for it.. but alas everything was good enough that i did not call to complain when they were about to close.... With the pizza, the toppings actually stayed on, and there were plenty of toppings on it. The icing on the cake was the excellent service. I called last week to confirm that Combos would be able to deliver an order to my location for the weekend of UFC fights. After talking with Ed, the owner, he was EXTREMELY helpful! He accommodated us and made sure they would deliver the pizzas that Saturday. AWESOME customer service! We ordered 2 large carne asade pizzas, 1 large pastor and a trey of wings. As promised Ed made sure the pizza was delivered, regardless of the distance! We were not let down! The pastor pizza was honestly one of, if not the best, pizza I've ever had. Wife advised me that this calzone was worth trying... I was skeptical since it is a hole in the wall pizza place... To my surprise I realized this was no ordinary pizza place. Carne Assad pizza, pastrami pizza, al pastor pizza!!! It was hard not ordering those and to just stick to the calzone she was raving about. I ordered calzone from the menu which allows you to pick two toppings. The description does not do this calzone justice. It came out perfectly crispy and with a garlic, Parmesan crust!!! The pizza reminded me of local pizza shops in Massachusetts growing up. The crust is super buttery and has a good crisp bite to it. The calzone tastes like a grown up hot pocket. Cheesy buttery crust filled with fresh delicious ingredients. I was impressed. This is not diet good! A very good pizza joint. We ordered take out. We tried the Combo, regular pepperoni and sausage, Al pastor, and BBQ. Everything was tasty but the al pastor was extra special! The al pastor comes with salsa, which was really good, even by Mexican restaurant standards. Only downside was the chicken on the BBQ pizza. It was a bit dry and chewy. Seemed like it was over cooked. We also ordered their turkey sandwich which was quite good. Don't forget about the Italian ice for dessert! My (use to be) favorite alfredo sauce is from Olive Garden. This beat it but I'll still go there and get their seafood alfredo which this place doesn't have.
