Some of the best pizza I've had in a while. It was cooked fresh and came out hot and fast. Would definitely recommend.

When I take that first bite it's like a beautiful medley of flavors, heat, and textures all dancing together. I get the original recipe which is beef. They have a few currants only the beef that gives you a mild sweet surprise. They are my absolute favorite flavor. My sons love the steak and peppers, and the chicken. I haven't tried the shrimp or vegan one yet. They have around 10 different types. The service is wonderful. It's a family that sells them at Farmers Markets. They are at different Farmers markets each day. They go to the same ones each week. Also, make sure to get their home made green hot sauce. Ask for extra. They give tiny cups that aren't full and you are going to want it for every bite you take. Guaranteed to wake up your senses. Enjoy!!

I had the opportunity to check this food stand out since they are at the UC Irvine campus all week!…read moreI'm happy to see them here considering how crazy the rain has been. The clerk working the store was very friendly and offered me a sample as soon as I walked up. My concern was whether it would be crunchy-hard, since I've had empanadas in the past that were hard. I'm not a fan of hard foods (looking at you banh mi) - but the clerk noted they were all soft and the sample proved that. I ordered a Mushroom ($4), Chicken ($4) and Beef Steak ($5) - each empanada was perfectly portioned, slightly crunchy/golden brown on the outside, but soft and doughy on the inside, with generous fillings. These taste similar to the chalupas you can get at Taco Bell (just better quality). The mushroom was probably my favorite one - with chunks of mushroom in a nice, cheesy blend. Each bite was perfect - and the melted cheese texture also complimented the meatless option. The quality of the chicken filling wasn't the best - it reminded me of a Hot Pocket - was forgettable as the bits were dry and flavorless. The beef steak option was great - full of chunks of beef steak, onions, tomatoes and some sort of salsa sauce inside. It made each bite full of flavor and delicious. The clerk gave me two containers of the green sauce - which is the perfect compliment to the empanadas - not too spicy, mild but with just enough of a kick to it. Be sure to ask for these instead of jalapenos. The food stand took cash and had a sign that indicated they accept credit cards as well. Prices are reasonable for the quality, portion size and fillings of the food.

She was offering 3 cotton candy flavors at the party (blue raspberry, grape and strawberry) and I saw every kid running around with a cloud of cotton candy and a happy face! I was chatting with Allison and learned about her and her business and she was the nicest person! She told me she loves experimenting with new flavors and menu items so you can always look for something new (she mentioned she recently tried cotton candy grapes and I thought that was so creative)!! She offers about 30 flavors including some unique ones. It was such a pleasant experience that we hired her for a party we hosted. Once again the cotton candy treats were a huge success, we picked UBE and cinnamon roll and pink vanilla !!! The Ube and cinnamon roll were so bomb! The next time we hire Allison I'd love to try more flavors like horchata and English toffee! The best part about Oh Sugar is that it's a mobile service so Allison can add something fun and unique to your wedding, party or even school event (I'm thinking of my son's school carnival). Her prices are great and she sets up a cute little booth to serve out her treats. I didn't realize she has cotton candy cakes and other items on the menu right now so I can't wait to have her be a part of our next event!

I was about to call it a night when I saw a brightly lit canopy. The warm light called to me. I parked and as soon as I opened the car door the delectable aroma of tacos surrounded me. My stomach growled and my mouth watered in anticipation. I was pleasantly greeted, "what would you like?" I ordered 3 tacos, asada, tripa, and chorizo. Once I received my tacos I bathe them in red and green salsa, cilantro, cebolla, and limon. Radishes and cucumbers are also there for those who desire something crunchy and fresh. The tripa was crispy, the asada was delectable, and the chorizo had the right amount of grease (not much). After I promptly finished off my tacos, I decided to try two more. One cabeza, and one al pastor. Needless to say, neither disappointed. For those adventurous like me, give the cabeza or tripas a try, but you really can't go wrong in this warmly light canopy. I would say the only down side was that I did not know they had nopales. Had I known I would have ordered a nopal taco. I left feeling satisfied, and not as lonely as when I first arrived. I drove away with a full stomach and warm heart, the canopy slowly becoming smaller in my rear view mirror. I am looking forward to my next visit.
