CARNE ASADA PIZZA?!?! what a great concept along with pastrami pizza. Although the carne pizza was a bit on the spicier side, it was pretty good. Their regular pizzas were good too. The delivery was 5 STARS ! The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because I need to try other items in the future and also because of a slight problem I initially had when calling to place an order. The lady was nice but had to put me on hold to deal with other patrons which took a little longer than it should have so I hung up and decided to try using Yelp's Eat24 system. It was fast and easy to use. It will give you an email confirmation where you can also check the status of your order. For me it said delivery confirmation time is 6:41pm and at exactly 6:41pm the delivery guy rang my doorbell. It was unbelievably perfect timing! The pizzas arrived hot and fast, much better than Papa John's. Will definitely frequent this again. read more

One word. (Three words?) Carne Asada Pizza. WHAT? I've been here a few times now and oh boy.. Carne Asada Pizza. It's a bit pricey, but the ingredients you're getting are GREAT! I usually call in my order about 15 minutes before I'm ready to head over. They usually answer the phone pretty quick. The nice thing is they'll actually make the pizza before you get there and wait for you to arrive. After you arrive, they throw it into the oven so you get the freshest pizza. You can always tell them to throw it in a bit early if you're in a hurry. I will have to say.. the first time I had the pizza I was not so sure I liked it. I gave it a second chance and oh boy.. We ordered a medium pineapple & pepperoni pizza for pick up tonight and we were really pleased. After ordering online, I went to pick up my pizza. I got there in about 10 minutes and the pizza wasn't quite ready so I told the woman at the counter I would come back in a few minutes because my dog was in the car and I didn't want to leave her alone too long but she very kindly insisted that I just stay with my dog and she would bring the pizza out when it was ready. After no more than 15 mins of total wait time, I was headed home. When I opened the box, it looked good but I'm from NY and therefore I'm picky about my pizza so I remained skeptical. The skepticism didn't last past the second bite. Suffice to say, we devoured it and we'll be ordering from Combo's again. read more

Tried this place last night with a friend, was having a craving for something with asada and/or something greasy. Yelp recommended this place cause who doesnt love pizza and asada or were they just reading my mind? *our phones are listening* ;) haha Anyway, ordered the pizza by phone around 1030pm (they close at midnight) After ordering and before I got off the phone, the staff member was giving me my total and time for pick up, which I didn't care for cause she told me to come in within 10mins but they could not put it in the oven till we get there... Hmmm so might as well just go in. Decided to still go cause reviews on this place def. pumped me up for some asada pizza. When arriving the place was in a not so great part of Fullerton and area is not very lit at night. But going in the staff was very nice and said to give them 5 mins. They brought out our pizza and mentioned there has been a mistake that they had put pico on all of our pizza instead of half. So they were making us a small asada with no pico (no charge), which we did appreciate. Pizza was spicy but not over whelming with the pico and must be the sauce cause I got a hint of spice in the pizza with no pico too. Overall the pizza was okay probably would not order this one again, but I did like their crust and would probably consider coming back to try another pizza. Was $18 with some change. I got a calzone here and wow it was amazing. You get a giant 10 inch calzone, ranch and marinara dipping sauce. I was blown away by how good it tasted. The bread has flavor, there was a huge amount of cheese drag, they added plenty of meats and they cut it into perfectly sized pieces. This was 9$ with the 10% yelp check in discount. Happened to see this place yesterday, while doing laundry next door, and decided to return today to give it a try. It is a very small restaurant and seemingly run by one person. A woman, who I presume was the owner. While she was extremely pleasant and had a great smile, there were a number of issues..... Signs posted stated an opening time of 11 AM. Yet, I waited outside nearly 15 minutes more before the front door was finally unlocked. Once inside, I inquired about their chicken sandwich lunch special. But, backed away after learning that the establishment did not offer any ketchup. I ended up going with a turkey sandwich which was very tasty and fresh. But, definitely on the small side. The sandwich special included a bag of chips. However, there was no choice as to what type of chips....The final issue for me was the air conditioning....blowing directly at the dining tables. So I had used this place to throw a pizza party a few months ago. I telephoned for pick up and they were friendly. Everyone ranted and raved about the pizza. I was busy with the party so I wasn't sure. This weekend I decided to sample their pizza. We got a carne asada pizza, vegetarian pizza and a pastrami pizza. Again a telephone order for pickup. The place has a few tables but I imagine take out is best. The order was quick and cashier was friendly. They had a few family Type specials which people were obviously taking advantage of :) The pizza itself was good. The veggies were fresh. We actually liked it more than the carne asada pizza. Don't get me wrong-- it's good but the veggie tasted better to us. The pastrami pizza was mind boggling - yet yummy. Try it if you like pastrami but don't want all the bread! Overall will definitely call for more pickups. It was better then the closest pizza (Upper Crust) and worth the 10 minute drive. read more

Very good pizza and excellent customer service! I went in today and ordered their personal-pizza lunch special. You could choose up to three toppings, which is surprising since most places nickel and dime you for anything more than pepperoni. I normally do not like thinner crust pizza, but this was really good! You can really taste the butter and garlic in the dough. The toppings to cheese ratio was perfect, and there was not too much sauce. I am a cable guy so I move around a lot, but I will absolutely be back! read more

This place makes amazingly good pizzas. It was first introduced to us by my family friend. When my family and I first tried their carne asada pizza, it was melt in your mouth good. It was delicious and was to die for. The staff was very helpful and informative and they take good care of the customers. Family was on vacation at Disneyland and wanted something local. Combo's is just a short drive from the house of mouse, and well worth it. We can get chains anywhere, so we prurposely look for unique local restraunts when we travel. Found Combo's on Yelp and immediately the al pastor pizza piqued my interest. Fantastic! Service was excellent, and they even suggested cheaper options than what we originally ordered. I think that's even more rare than al pastor pizza! Ok I have to admit, I'm a fan! My brother and I ordered two small pizzas, one hawaiian and one combo. I have to admit that I did not care for the hawaiian as much as I did for the combo, but it was ok. Now the combo was awesome! I am not sure what made it so amazing to me but I loved the way the cheese melted and the veggies were fresh and slightly crunchy but in a good way. The crust was not soggy either, that's always a plus in my book. I also liked how they packed the pizza on top of a piece of parchment paper, which keeps the cheese from sticking to the box. Pizza is good. Don't get delivery. I called an hour and 10 min ago and she told me that it would be 45 min at the most, but probably less. Well, an hour later I called to ask the status and she casually said "oh it just went in the oven". No "sorry", no "we'll rush it right over". Nothing. Will I order from here again? Probably. But not if I want it to be delivered. You would think they would call if they are going to be 20 min late or more. So i ordered off of eat24 & the estimated delivery time was 45min-an hour, they got the pizza here in 50 min. Also the delivery girl was very friendly + 1 I ordered a large pesto with mushrooms+sausage, the combo sticks (garlic, butter, parm), & a 2L soda. Everything came hot & ready to eat +2 I think the price was very fair. All of the above for 27 buck plus 3 dollars tip +1 Now heres where i held back on the last star, as soon as i opened up the pizza i could smell cinnamon? Im not sure if I'm imagining it or what but i could smell cinnamon. The pizza was def edible and toppings were good but i just couldnt really get over the cinnamon. I'm not sure if its an ingredient in their pesto sauce or what but im just not used to it. Besides that the pizza was still really good and the bread sticks were awesome. Especially since they came with two diff dipping sauces. I would def order from here again but i think ill skip the pesto read more

This is one of mine and my SO favorite pizza places. The pizza is always consistent and they have great deals for larger families or for individual needs like their giant slice of pizza! My SO and I eat here pretty frequently, sometimes 2-3 times a week; we are on a low carb diet so we tend to order the wings and house salad a lot and save the pizza for our cheat days. It's family owned which I love because they truly care about their customers, are very accommodating, and they get to know their regulars.
