As a biz owner myself, don't think I could EVER pickup my home and call a customer, and wait just to call them a MF Like wait? My advice to anyone reading this WATCH OUT FOR THIS SHOP. Auto shops love working with insurance until they don't hear want they want to hear. once they can bill insurance they bill you. To ask what happened if youre lost. Brought my BMW there cuz insurance asked for a shop. Took it to this auto repair on Dec 30 th 2024 gave the owner everything he asked for; Keys , insurance claim # & insurance phone number. i stop by the shop on Jan 6th to see that the car hasn't been touch. To which the owner said hes waiting to contact insurance bit he's taken the initiative to order the parts for the repair. Without showing me any proof of purchase or even DIAGNOSIS. I sit back a little because have told him insurance is taking care. Then I got the cussing phone call 9AM, charging me $380 for calling the insurance company & storage. Funny thing is that they have an After 10-day storage policy. My vehicle didn't make it to 10 days and I was being charged $380 for them to call insurance and bill insurance. O wait, I put my misunderstanding of the whole situation aside and tried to give him $150 he said NO. Shops like this should be avoided | Go in at your own risk.

John's Tire & Brake Service - Tire plug

John's Tire & Brake Service

Schumacher Place

There are 16 auto repair shops within a 3 mile radius of my residence, but I make the 30 mile round…read moretrip through the worst rush hour traffic in Columbus to bring my car to John's Tire & Brake Service. It all started several years ago when my son told me about this great auto shop where they worked within his budget, and treated him in a kind and respectful manner not often seen in an industry where too many mechanics take advantage of their customers. So when I needed a repair, I went to John's Tire & Brake Service, and have been going there ever since. My son and I have both referred friends to them as well. This isn't a large facility, and it doesn't have a luxurious waiting room with a Keurig and scones like the big Dealers have. But you will probably save some money, and your vehicle will be in skilled hands. John and Jason are men of integrity; I trust them completely. In today's world, it is uncommon to find proprietors or associates of any business, whose priority is the satisfaction of their customers, and in giving honest service that they can be proud of. That is why I go out of my way to take my car to them, and not to the Toyota dealer down the street.

I'm extremely disappointed writing this…read more Over the years, I've been recommended by several people to John's Tires & Brakes because they were always friendly and made customers feel like family. They would offer rides, snacks, and made the experience feel personal. Because of that, there was a lot of trust built. Unfortunately, someone very close to me recently discovered that multiple repairs done here were either poorly completed or failed far sooner than they should have. Spark plugs that were replaced last May (with only about 5,000 miles driven since) were already completely fried, despite typically lasting much longer. Wiring that was replaced just last month also needs to be redone because it's damaged. On top of that, another mechanic showed that the welding work done on the muffler/exhaust was poorly done and may have contributed to further damage, including the catalytic converter needing replacement. I strongly encourage anyone getting major repairs here to seek a second opinion.

Purchased a used Jeep, a good jeep, a cheap Jeep to cross country to travel from Virginia back to…read moreCalifornia. The sales manager hooked me up with a better set of tires and was able to get me the Best all around warranty. I should've known they were also America's Tire!! Service I'd come to expect, fast honest, and definitely a repeat place to go to get tires! No hassles, even 2600 miles from home!!

This place is run like an absolute mess. I arrived at 10:45 and was told that I needed a tire…read morerepair and a tire replacement for both drivers side tires on my 2021 Chevy Trax LT AWD. I was quoted 224 dollars for the service, and was told it would be done by 1:00. The assistant manager Hunter then told me at 1:15 (they only started working in my vehicle at 1:00) that they could not repair my tire as "someone has already repaired it," (which is untrue as I've only had the tire less than a year and have never had it repaired) and that I needed to buy another new tire. So now I've had to pay 450 dollars. I had to wait another hour for my vehicle to be completed. Once I got back in the vehicle, my tire pressure light was on, and my dash said "tire pressure monitor system maintenance required." When I came this morning, I had no lights or warnings on my dash. The service tech (I believe his name was Titus) then lied to me, saying that he had to "re-learn" the tire pressure sensors to the car, and that the passenger side rear tire pressure sensor was dead. I told him this was impossible, as I had them replaced in January of this year at the dealership. The assistant manager Hunter then checked my vehicle, and told me that the service tech (Titus?) never "re-learned" the sensors to the vehicle, and that he had to do it himself! TLDR: This Discount Tire will overcharge you, lie to you, avoid any accountability, and disrespect your time. Go anywhere but here.
