There is even a place for you to relax and have lunch or a snack outside, as there are outdoor bistro tables for you to use. Then there are all the wonderful services they offer! Let me count the ways. 1. Plenty of free programs are offered both in-person or via Zoom. 2. Plenty of free books, audio, DVDs, magazines, and e-books & e-audios are offered to check out, provided you return them on time. 3. Your books are loaned out for 21 days with the exception of the New books, and audios. 4. Did I mention they offer free museum passes to various museums, including Battleship in Camden, New Jersey. 5. There is a Notary on-premises 6. Offers you one-to-one personal training with technology. 7. Did I mention their services are free? What's the catch, you ask, just become a member of their library. If you live in the town, membership is FREE! If you want to become a member because you do not live in town, the fee is $75 per cardholder for anyone 64 years and younger. If you are 65 years or older, your fee is $25. Plenty of parking. Again, everything is free... Just don't be late with your checked-out materials and you will not incur a fee. We booked a room for 2 hours and then another friend booked the room for the next 2 hours. The librarian came in - Marry, and told us she CANCELED our second reservation, once we checked in for the second reservation, and told us we had to leave, because another group had the room... We were not being disruptive and were simply studying when she interrupted and was so RUDE. She really must have been having a bad day and took it out on three 20-something-year-olds. Extremely rude and unkind. Do not go here waste of your time and not even a great space! AND you have to bring your own HDMI cord... weirdd

Only the residents or students of Freehold Borough can have access to this hidden gem. They are currently celebrating Bruce Springsteen's 70th birthday by having an exhibit celebrating is life. For those who don't know, was born in Long Beach, NJ but he spent his formative years in Freehold, NJ. He even played at the Elks Lodge in Freehold. It's worth checking out if you are a Springsteen fan. This library is not the most quiet. The fact that it is on the main street and it is a bit drafty, you must understand it is an old building. "Classic Carnegie" architectural style. Within these walls, there are copiers, public computers, newspapers and magazines, and storytime for children of all ages. The staff are nothing short of helpful and will give you the welcoming feel as they chit chat with you. Like all small libraries, the voices do carry so if you are in dire need to study and need absolute quiet, this would not be the place for you.

This has been my library for 25 years. Lately I've been "borrowing" my books on line and reading…read morethem on the kindle. However over the years the librarians have always been very helpful when trying to find that Michael Connelly or John Sanford novel for instance. They don't have every book created yet they will attempt to get it from other Monmouth County Libraries and notify you when it arrives. When the Monmouth County Libraries don't have it they will try to get your book from neighboring counties. They go the extra mile. That and friendly service makes it a great place to frequent.

The staff is friendly and helpful. We went to the children's storytime and we had a great time. After the story, my daughter made a craft. All the kids had a great time. The children's librarian, Ms. Barbara, is great! This library is a must and if you have kids you must attend the children's programs on Tuesdays.
