This is a very friendly and very busy company. The Ladies at the front counter were more than helpful and the clothing was taken care of and as good as I've ever had dry cleaning done, maybe the best ever. That's a tough one as I generally don't get excited about my dry cleaning, but I would if it was done wrong, but I digress. I stopped to drop off 6 blouses. Gray haired woman employee walked out as I was approaching the door with clothes bag in hand. I read posted signs that said 'we are not accepting clothes with pet hair. Roll at home' and 'We are not accepting quilts, rugs, blah blah' and 'only check or cash accepted' As I stood there waiting to be helped, it occurred to me that the woman who walked out as I was walking in was the only employee there And There are too many signs telling me to beware of this place I turned around to leave. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Ditzy counter clerk can't find my comforter after 3 times in the cleaners. Then she tried giving me someone else's comforter the second time in. Took my husbands Air Force bomber jacket to get cleaned and this white liquid (paint?) few smudges and the owner worked on it for several days and did a fantastic job totally above our expectations! The owner is a dedicated individual who takes her business serious. We will definitely go back there with every garment and blanket/quilt to be cleaned and repaired. Be aware though, she's very popular and very busy making people happy! She's worth every penny you spend! read more

I brought in my husband's suit to get dry cleaned and requested for it to be ready as soon as possible, the gentleman that was there made no promises but said he would do his best..and his best he did do! Currently they are backed up & have a stated delay for completion. They aren't even accepting items that have lots of pet hair or large quilts. Apparently there was an employee shortage. I also realize the owner's health issues were a problem. I tried to be patient and not complain. However, no matter how nice the owner is, the fact that when I went to pick up my clothing (after three weeks), only part of it was located (after she searched for about ten minutes. The two white shirts were not so "easily" located & I had to return a few days later. It was also frustrating to pay $49.50 for two maxi dresses, one pair of slacks & two white shirts. If I had know that was the cost, I would have looked for another cleaners. To me, that was really expensive. I will be looking for a new dry cleaners since I will never go back to Colt. read more

The bad reviews for Colt Cleaners are not a fluke or a bunch of haters or Russian Bots. If you read these reviews and go there anyway, you will be just like me and beyond disappointed and lose an article of clothing. I get that most businesses are struggling with getting and keeping quality employees. Being a recent transplant from CA, I'm used to almost endless dry cleaner options. So it looks like we have 3 dry cleaners in PV and Prescott, and two of them are Colt. I read the bad reviews - and decided to give the PV location a chance anyway, as it was the closest. So I go to drop off my clothing, and they have a sign that says 2 week turn-around. I was prepared for this - and happily handed over my clothes. But, the people in front of me were dealing with a lost shirt. A red flag I should have paid attention to as reviews talk about them loosing clothing. But nope....I just happily hand my stuff over hoping for the best. So my pickup day comes, and I give them an extra day. I go to pick it up...not ready. They ask me to come back the next day. I come back 2 days later...and still not ready. They insist that they are going to "finish" my clothes while I wait, but it's so obvious that they are ridiculously unorganized that I just left. They called me and left a message to call them back and tell them when I want to pick up my clothes so they can have them ready. OK....WT actual F? So 3 days after my official pickup date and 2 different attempts to pick my stuff after 2 week turn around and they want to know when I want to pick it up so they can get it ready? I can't call them back because I was likely to go all mentally ill Karen on them. So I come back 2 days later....and still not ready. I decide to wait (45 minutes) for them to finish pressing, and low and behold....they lost a shirt. They (Cindy) insists that they will find it and drive it to my work the next day. I tell her to just give me a call, and I'll come pick it up. But she insists and "feels terrible" because of how many times I came to pick up my clothes and yada yada yada. Spoiler alert....Cindy never came to my work, nor called. I'm writing this review a month later (still no call on my lost shirt). I gave myself some time to chill out on the situation. I've decided to just write-off my $45 polo that they lost and never go back. Cindy did give me a discount and didn't "charge me" for cleaning the shirt they lost LOL! And last but maybe least...the quality of the pressing was subpar. Countless random lines pressed in, hems ironed flipped up, crooked seams on sleeves. I pretty much just washed and pressed it all again on my own. Cindy is a nice lady, and you feel bad as she runs around chaotically with an oxygen tube and endless stories of the tragedies that have struck her business and personal life. You really want to help out and support her business, but the problems are obviously well beyond the tragedies, and almost feel manipulated by her stories because getting mad about dry cleaning compared to people dying and etc seems petty, shallow and insensitive. So if you want to support Cindy/Colt because it feels like the right thing to do, I get that. Just make sure you are ok with never seeing the clothing you drop off, and very subpar quality on the stuff you do get back (weeks later). If you get upset, you must be an insensitive richard cranium!!! Now to try Village Cleaners....who has 2 bad reviews out of 9. Wish me luck! read more

the only reason they exist is due to the fact that there are less and less cleaners about declining industry unfortunately and they have an excellent location in prescott valley with no competition near the do a horrible job - they over charge - and you still get your clothing back stained and looking uncleaned the owner is nasty and rude at christmas time - i took in a pair of slacks they had and i am serious 5 or 6 human hairs on them the owner said in as nasty a tone possible you are going to have to pay extra for us to brush off these animal hairs i said those are not animal hairs and there about 5 or 6 hairs on there that is what i am paying you for in the first place she literally picked up the slacks and through them at me this was at christmas time like the day before xmas eve nice woman right and nice business right she said get out i said happily and i will let everyone know about your poor work and your incredibly bad attitude there are other reviews out there similar to mine on these nasty people who totally deserve to go out of business read more

If I could give them a zero, I would absolutely do it. They are the most unorganized and not friendly people. My partner picked up my clothes for me and it was $120. When I got home there was tags on my clothes that were ruined that said sorry. White pants white shirt are now tan. I go there today to talk to them about it and now they're closed down. A very good experience...I haven't used a dry cleaner in decades probably since The Jeffersons, but I needed help with a coat, there was something on it that I couldn't get off. Anyway I took it to Colt over in the Frys shopping center in prescott valley and was so nervous because of bad reviews I've seen, but I wanted to see for myself as I know one person with a gripe can make multiple bad reviews and hurt a business...im glad I gave them a chance...the owner who runs the front, was very nice and friendly, my coat was ready before she told me it would be and she called me to tell me it was ready a day before it was supposed to be...the price was a shock, $20 but as I said I haven't been to a dry cleaners in ages, gone are the days when clothes were dry cleaned for 6 bucks, its fine. Their cc machines were down so cash or check, no biggie, the coat was awesome too, great experience i will definitely support them and use again. Good people read more

Prescott Valley Colt Cleaners. This is the first review I have ever written, but I need to voice my sheer disappointment in this place. I feel if we don't speak up and stand up about poor service and/or products, we will continue to receive the worst. I was told my garments (9 in total) would be ready yesterday. I came to pick them up today and they weren't ready. The 2 women working there looked all over for my garments, and had to keep checking with me to clarify what they were. I was told they found them and needed to be plastic-bagged, and I could come back or wait. No debit/credit cards accepted, so off to the bank I went. When I returned the garments weren't ready, and they had to look for them again. When I got home I saw that the collar on my husband's white dress shirt was still dirty, the way I brought it in. It was pressed and bagged, but absolutely dirty. I couldn't reach them my phone, so I will drop by tomorrow to let them know what I experienced. Two yrs ago, I dropped off 2 fur throws and asked for them to be dry cleaned. The lady washed them instead and they lost their form. She couldn't find my throws before either, and what should have been a 2-day turn-around time wound up being 2 wks, and she said she pushed them off to the side in order to dry clean other clothes. I won't go there again, and I wish there was another dry cleaners in PV. I'll just have to drive into Prescott next time. I give this place no stars at all. read more

If I could give Colt a negative review, I would. My husband brought in our comforter the first week of December 2022. He was told that it would be ready in a week and that we would get a call when it was ready. He called a week and a 1/2 later and it was still not ready. My husband stopped in about 2 1/2 weeks later, and it still had not been dry cleaned. He called back in 3 weeks, and it was still not ready. We thought that Colt had lost it because of the constant run-a-round. After 4 weeks with still no call from Colts, he went back and asked them to return our comforter. The person behind the counter bent over and picked the comforter up off the floor in the exact spot where they had first placed it when my husband brought it in to the dry cleaners! Not only did they lie that it would be ready in a week, but they kept stringing us along. Just horrible customer service! At least be honest! I wanted the comforter cleaned by Christmas so it would be nice and clean for our overnight guests. read more

When you drop off just two suit jackets you need for work on a Wednesday and they won't be ready until the next Tuesday, you need to figure something out because you just lost my business, present and future. Plus, the clothes I have had dry cleaned here, I'm not that impressed. Still have dog hair on them and one jacket of mine has leather material around the collar and down the front that got all torn up. Took a jacket to Colt Cleaners for dry cleaning. When my wife returned to pick up the jacket, she was informed that a large denomination bill was discovered inside one of the pockets. The money was placed inside a plastic bag and attached to the dry cleaning ticket. I am taking this opportunity to give a shout out to Colt Cleaners and their employees for their honesty. In this day and age it is difficult to find an establishment with that kind of credibility. Colt cleaners also did an excellent job cleaning my garment. They are highly skilled in their craft and honest. How can you beat that? DO NOT GO HERE! We dropped off our expensive white down comforter to get cleaned. They told us they will call when it's done. After 4 weeks of waiting I gave them a call and asked if it was done. She responded Yes it is, I asked why we didn't get a call, her response was I don't know someone should have. Zero apology or sign that she cared. Well temperatures finally dropped a bit so we decided to take it out and use it. After making the bed we realized that the comforter was completely flat and has a yellowish tint to it. The comforter that was pretty expensive is officially ruined and disgusting. How do you drop something off to get cleaned and it comes back dirtier then when we dropped it off? Of it was funny that would be one thing I would just get it cleaned somewhere else. However with it losing all of its feathers and basically feeling like two pieces of fabric sewn together it's worthless. I will be going in in the morning to see what they will do but I know it'll be pointless considering she couldn't even say sorry for not calling us. If you want to ruin your comforter and have zero positive guest experiences than choose this rat hole. They'll find a way to make it dirtier. read more

Everything you read about Colt Cleaners is TRUE. They are very SLOW. It took them 6 weeks to clean my sofa covers. Then after 6 weeks of waiting they came back dirty, they DIDN'T EVEN CLEAN THEM. Then she had the nerve to tell me she's only charging me half price because i had to wait so long. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, THEY ARE WORTHLESS. It's all true what others said. Wow. Took my brand new bedspread to them in hopes of getting the wrinkles out. Big mistake. Went to pick it up and it was on the filthy floor with another one. I asked why and was told it just came out of the machine. I said why is it on the filthy floor. Um um I will wash it again. Come back tomorrow. Which I did and it was wrinkled and had lint on it and other things. I called the owner many times. Finally got a hold of her and told her what happened and she said she would investigate this and get back to me. Never heard a word back. I would drive my dry cleaning needs to Phoenix before going to this crap place. Shame on then for keeping my $40.00 and for treating my brand new bedspread the way they did. I use Colt Cleaners in Prescott Valley for my uniforms. I have been using their services for approx. two years. Occasionally my uniforms are not ready when promised which I overlook because I like the owner and staff. On three separate occasions recently, they could not find my uniforms I needed for work. I was forced to wear the same uniform the following day or launder the uniforms myself after work. Today, after the most recent issue, I asked that my uniforms be comped. The oner said she could give me a discount but would not comp me for their most recent error. I told her I would then take my businesses elsewhere. The bottom line is if you are going to run a business and cannot keep your commitments, you need to compensate your customers. Her refusal is unacceptable, and I will launder my uniforms myself before I return to their business. Look elsewhere, not worth the effort the customers have to expend to receive their dry cleaning when promised! read more

Horrible, had 5 jackets and 5 dresses with them. Went to pick the items up and noticed stains on several items. Then noticed tons of human hair and pet hair. The human hair is was not my hair. Asked them to take the spots out and were quite rude. I paid over 100 dollars for a horrible cleaning job. Also the pressing was horrendous and ended up pressing my items at home. My parents have over 20 years of dry cleaning experience when I showed them my items they were horrified on the pressing and cleaning. Stay away from this place you will end up paying for horrible cleaning and pressing. read more

TWO weeks later they were ready and he was charged over $16 for 3 shirts.....because they had to manually iron them.......what a bunch of garbage. The coat was in the closet for many months and I simply wanted to refresh the coat (little dusty..) After giving them THREE chances to solve the problem, It just got worse. Complained to BBB. They dropped if due to their lies. Yes they did try Three Times yet never corrected the Problem. I toke this coat to ALL STAR CLEANERS ON THE 69 BY Safeway. I have gone to Colt cleaners on several occasions. They are basically a monopoly since there aren't any other cleaners in the area. The 1st run in that I had was a few months ago to get a pair of pants altered. I would check in periodically over a month's span. The last time I went in there they said they called me a week ago to let me know that they were finished. I have one phone and they absolutely did not call me. I dropped another pair of pants 3 weeks ago and they said it would take no longer than 2 weeks. They won't return my calls. Also, their staff is very dysfunctional.
